This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites.
I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite).
Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided)
Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.)

Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests).

Our two Lost Valley Van Camp sites can each accommodate one self-contained campervan or truck camper and offer a quiet place to pull up amongst the trees on the outskirts of the field. Each site comes with a convertible bench/table for two and a flat grassy area to camp with plenty of room to turn your vehicle around. The two sites are separated by dense trees to ensure privacy from neighboring campers. Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow!
There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

We bought this land in 2017, when it was just brush, poison oak, and a rotten bridge.

I hesitate to leave a good review because then too many people will learn how great this campground is and it will be harder for us to get a reservation. But, goodness wins and I declare we loved this campground.
It’s not the best if you want to do tent camping alongside trailer camping— the sites are fairly small, but if you are just taking your trailer, this spot is sweet. Close to the beach, close to town, clean, well run, friendly and responsive staff.
We’ve been twice during July 4th holiday and be warned… the fireworks at the closest beach are LOUD and they go until past midnight.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach Bound Resort. The location was perfect with views of the ocean through the pines from our camp site. The area was clean, well laid out and maintained, beautifully landscaped, and very close to the beach and local state parks.

What an absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful and so relaxing. The drive-in was perfect. The directions provided very easy to follow. Parking on site #1, looking out over the river was easy and leveling out was not a problem. We had the river to one side and open field to the other side. Quiet and peaceful but the mosquitoes were enjoying it as much as we were. (They were pretty intense at times.) It was a great place to have our dog and we appreciated everything about the site. Very easy to get into town and do anything else that you want to do. We never saw Nicole & Brian, not even sure if they were there. We were told to call if we had any questions and we didn’t. When in the area again, we would be honored to stay again.

Really well kept up/clean. Excellent wifi!!
Even when it was fairly full, it was very quiet/peaceful.
Bathrooms/showers were clean with continuous hot water.
Things I would update:
Offer garbage bins along with all the dog waste bag sites. Especially in the designated dog park. (There is one area with dumpsters that you have to walk to.)
Get some new street signage as the current ones are all sun bleached and not readable.

This campsite is truly a hidden gem. The views of the river from the site are breathtaking, and the dock offers a peaceful, stunning backdrop. Our host was exceptionally accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay memorable despite our last-minute booking. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway with top-tier hospitality.

Sweet spot! Right on the river and very peaceful. The bathroom is very clean and is a great spot if you need a solid shower and a reset—great proximity to some sick spots in Oregon like Whalehead and Natural Bridges. Be sure to catch a sunset over the river and look for seals. Definitely recommend!

Normally we try to disperse camp, but this visit to the area, we needed to ensure we had a camping spot for a couple of nights in a row while attending an event and visiting family during the day. After having a couple of bad experiences at state campgrounds (loud neighbors partying into the early morning, and no one around to enforce the rules) we were looking for a quiet location to ensure a good night’s rest. I found Nicole and Brian’s Hipcamp, booked it, and we had an outstanding experience. This is a beautiful piece of property that is very quiet and peaceful. There are only 3 sites, which helps to ensure a relaxing and peaceful camping experience. Sites 1 & 2 are very nice with the Prosper Bluff site being a standout with its amazing views overlooking the river. There was plenty of space for our dog to get her zoomies out as well. It can get breezy, and there are mosquitoes, but if you’re properly prepared, you’ll have a great experience here. We look forward to staying here again during our next trip to the area.

The hosts were very kind! Brian warmly welcomed us to the property, gave us recommendations for local hikes, and even invited us to play basketball with him! We loved this spot and would highly recommend to anyone passing through!

Friendly owner provided first bundle of firewood to our site for free. Next bundle is cheap.
Nearby beaches great for sunsets. Particularly Sunset Beach.

I loved staying at Brian and Nicole’s Prosper Bluff site. It was an absolutely beautiful view. The property was a perfect location to use as a base camp to explore the area. Brian was a pleasure to talk with and gave some great suggestions of places to go and thanks to see. I highly recommend this location and if ever I’m on a road trip again through the Oregon coast I will use this as a base camp again. Thank you, Brian and Nicole for making your property available for other others to enjoy.

BEAUTIFUL landscape. The spaces are, well, spacious! Great for larger rigs. Our spot (16) was level and easy to back into. It was right next to the dog park which was convenient and full of actual green grass. You can tell the owner has a lot of pride in this place. It’s also a wonderful location close to the beach, we could hear the ocean roar from the park.

Tony was great and very responsive. I had a later check in, and he gave me clear instructions that made it easy to get situated by myself. It is a very pretty spot along the water and a cool place to recharge. I would recommend this place to anybody!

The location in Bandon was close to incredible beaches but very private. Views from the top of the bluff were expansive. We loved the “throne” made out of driftwood to sit on. Great HipCamp.

Bay Point Campground — 6 out of 5 stars!
So good, we stayed another night!
What a great campground! Bay Point has a little bit of everything: beautiful facilities, a saltwater pool, camp store, bar/lounge, kids room, playground, bocce ball courts, and options to bring your own setup or rent trailers and cabins — all right on the shoreline of Coos Bay.
The grandkids loved the beach and all the kid-friendly amenities, and there were plenty of other kids to play with. It was peaceful at night, too, which made it feel relaxing for everyone.
The laundry room, showers, and restrooms were immaculate. This place is truly a hidden gem on the coast!
