Riverside/Riverwood

Spring is finally here and we have our property all spruced up for our campers! Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a fire pit and a deck for viewing the river. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large spruce trees. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests, Yay! It is about 150' walk from both campsites. It has a kitchenette with a barista bar, microwave, small fridge, a small living area, private toilet and shower. (bring your own towels, soap, etc.). We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. PLEASE NOTE.....We didn't realize how popular our Bunkie would be so to avoid double booking and disappointing our guests, we will keep you posted on the availability. The Glass House IS currently AVAILABLE these dates: AVAILABLE: April 6th - 19th April 22nd - May 20th June 10th - June 13th June 16th - June 18th June 23rd-June 27th August 23rd-August 29th September 4th on into fall... The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds, Beavers early in the morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters have been very active the past couple of years. You'll see them in the morning and evenings swimming, playing and munching on Crawdads. There are Deer although we seldom see them on our property but, they are across the river. There is a huge heard of Elk down river. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process and the property: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message with the physical address to the property and the instructions on how to navigate the property once you are here. There is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the 2 camp sites. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. Our Hipcamp sites sit on bare property adjacent to our house. The property and house had sat vacant for 3 years prior to us finding it. It was a mess, all overgrown with blackberries, moss, etc. We spent the first 3 years cleaning up the house, apartment downstairs and clearing the property so it was usable. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere...when we came across this property. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Carsners Tree Farm (CTF)

Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing. There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. Welcome to Parker Learning Gardens! We are a nonprofit educational 33-acre farm located 10 miles north of Eugene, Oregon right between the small towns of Coburg and Harrisburg. Our campsites are located at our 3 acre Bamboo Forest, with covered platforms located alongside and underneath the canopy of our whimsical corridor of huge Linden Trees. There are around 40 varieties of bamboo in our densely-packed 35-year-old Bamboo Forest. You are welcome to explore this unique forest by navigating through our meandering trail system. Elsewhere on the farm we have over 500 fruit trees, many farm animals, and 12 demonstration gardens. We offer seasonal educational programming from Spring-Fall, with various community classes, workshops and field trips for schools. The mission of Parker Learning Gardens involves immersing people of all ages in nature while demonstrating how to: grow food organically, tend to the land from an ecological perspective, incorporate animals in a regenerative way, and be conscious environmental stewards. There you can kayak, canoe, paddleboard -or some even swim- on the east side of the hwy. The beach and beautiful state park is on the west side with Beaver creek flowing through it and a lovely bridge over it. We are just 5 minute drive form there. There are a couple hikes along the way, and also for jogging or biking.. I believe in living as simply and peacefully as possible, in harmony with all neighbors of all species; -plants, animals and humans- in order to do my part to sustain healthy life on this planet. I know that I am blessed for having been raised here and since I’ve come home, I live in gratitude for this blessing every day; and am so thankful to be able to share some of it with you. Santiam Serenity

Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. Bring your tent or camper for extra room. Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river. This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. Those east dogs don't like other dogs for some reason.

Ruah Ranch

Mosswood Forest

Just down the road from the historic Oregon Country Fair grounds, there is a moss covered forest with friendly folks welcoming you to stop off and rest. Nights are quiet with faint to no road noise or light pollution. The driveway and grounds are flat with safe gated parking space for cars/vans and small-med sized trailers, tents etc. It is our pleasure to offer you a safe space to camp with your friends and family. Learn more about this land: Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three). We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. We love sharing good conversations and ideas about how to live well and stay excited about all things. Towns/Activities nearby: Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Welcome to Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill Farms tucked away in the rolling hills of the coastal mountains. We call it Fernwood because of the beautiful ferns and forest area throughout our 8-acre farm. We currently offer three sites that are private and secluded. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee and stroll the walking paths along the property. Sit on the creek side bench and soak in the sounds of the birds chirping or just listen to the water flow. Take a stroll through Fern Gully and listen to the squirrels chatter. We offer a meditation area, a communal fire pit, lighted paths, farm fresh eggs, seasonal veggies, a pond and even a big swing! We are situated in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley and close to many award winning wineries like Bluebird Hills Cellars and Broadley Vineyards, breweries like Long Timber Brewing Company, hiking, waterfalls, mountain bike trails and just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. William J. Finely Wildlife Preserve is just a few miles up the road as is the historic Hull-Oakes Lumber Mill. And my neighbor is Lainey Morse founder of Original Goat Yoga!! We provide a charging station/electricity, port-o-potty, potable well water and each site has two Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. Each stay includes a half dozen farm fresh eggs.

Rock Crick Acres

This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit. Complimentary 2 bundles of firewood, BBQ, table, chairs to use are available. Did you know the coolest porta-party in the galaxy awaits your visit? Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. Those east dogs don't like other dogs for some reason.

Ruah Ranch

Ruah Ranch is situated on an old donation land claim and was also the site of nomadic Native American tribes. Abundant wildlife graces our acres as well as the beautiful Thoroughbred horses we raise. You'll likely be serenaded by coyotes in the evenings and may catch sight of them during the day. Three different species of raptors frequent the skies above the ranch and beavers have established outposts along the stream. Beautiful thoroughbred horses will greet you every morning from their nearby pasture while you enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trellised Wisteria. Silver Falls State Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy hiking and biking and even guided horseback rides. The Oregon Gardens are just a bit further north on the outskirts of Silverton and many wineries dot the landscape all around. If you like horses we’ll be happy to give you a tour of the ranch and introduce you to the resident equines, many of which have horse racing royalty up close in their lineage.
