Crooked Finger Farms has great history. The Farm and surrounding acreage was homesteaded in the late 1850’s-1860’s. You can still pick the fruit from the original heirloom apple and pear trees! The farmhouse, historic barn and outbuildings were built as a dairy in 1915.

We purchased this slice of paradise in 2003 as a place to relax, recharge, and someday build our dream home. It started as nothing more than a gravel road leading to a small clearing with an old bus and a couple decks. Our children have grown up out here learning a deep respect for nature and the real (non digital) world. Now empty nesters, we live on site. GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6).
Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.

With Sandy Ridge mountain bike trails within a mile, and over 40,000 sf of skateboard park, there is something for everyone. Your Roamer Site one of 18 featuring a communal campfire and picnic tables. From 5-7pm M-F and 7-10AM Sat/Sun you'll have access to our private indoor and outdoor skateboard parks, and fitness center. Want coaching and more? We have that! Please note. Due to Oregon's liability laws, we can no longer offer the Trampolines or on campus Bike Trails as an amenity. Skateparks (indoor and outdoor), remain open, and their is a great public bike trail system just across the street at Sand Ridge.

Weekend Trip to Retreat to the Farest
This was my second experience at Paula’s and I’m sure not the last. It’s a beautiful location, and she provides very clear instructions for accessing the property, finding sites, and using the amenities. A great launching point for Sandy and the Mt Hood Forest. Would definitely recommend! :)

We loved glamping at Paula's farm! She was very friendly and helpful getting us set up with what we needed. The pre-set tent was super cozy and full of extras (bedside table, chairs, lantern, blanket) and the bathroom facility was very clean with nice hot showers! It was perfect for our friend's first time camping! There was some neighbor noise one of the evenings we stayed and some dog barking from the adorable working dog Etta, but we were totally fine sleeping with earplugs. Definitely hoping to come back!

Top notch campsite! The tree house is unforgettable. The site and bathroom were clean. The site is in the sheep pasture, so they will visit in the evening, just make sure your food is put away.

If tiny home perfection existed, this is it. EVERYTHING you need in a tiny space, facing the best view, and 15 minutes from a cute town or a great state park. I loved that we could watch swallows build a nest, watch the World Cup, turn on and off the AC, dine while watching all the birds across the fields and further mountains, play baseball and soccer with the kiddo in front of the tiny house and bring the dog for it all.
Connie and Aaron were VERY responsive for our couple of questions, but otherwise left us alone.
I’ll be back, and you should go.

We love the Big Tiny! Just the right size for us, and has everything we need. The farm is beautiful! We love watching the sun set over the lavender fields, and visiting the animals. We also love how close Buena Vista is to Silver Falls state park and to Silverton. Really wonderful place, we'll definitely return for a third time!

Very Friendly Host! Sotero is great and very accommodating. For an outdoor atmosphere, he keeps it clean and presentable. Super close to town for meals and events. Also close to Silver Falls State Park. Would definitely Camp there again!

This safari tent stay was absolutely wonderful! The tent, and all of the amenities, were clean and accessible. The little outhouse and outdoor shower were impressive in their cleanliness and comfort.The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into making their guest spaces welcoming and eco-friendly. My three girls and I were warm and cozy even though technically sleeping in what is essentially a large tent. It is bright and clean and has everything you might need during your stay. The hosts were available and friendly! Sotero uncovered the pool just for us, even though we happened to be the only guests that evening. The view from the tent at night was perfect and peaceful...and quiet.
I would highly recommend this lovely spot!

My two daughters and I had such a great time staying on Jim's farm. It is absolutely beautiful, and Jim was great to check in and ask if we needed any extra blankets, and even had some suggestions about stuff to do in town. Highly recommended, and don't forget to pet the sheep!

This is the second time that we have had our family camp located at Elkhorn. Anthony is the ultimate in camp hosts. Very thoughtful, attentive, and kind. The location was spacious, beautiful, with trees, the river, and open fairways everywhere. Perfect for dry camping with pleanty of room for RVs and tents. We highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely stay on this gorgeous piece of property, no more than 25 mins from our house in PDX. We probably took 6 baths in 3 days, couldn’t get enough of the wood fired tub. Had everything you could possibly need and nothing you don’t.
