The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. Its an excellent place. James is and extraordinary and his place is super! We went with the whole family and had a spectacular time. The scenery is inspiring and super comfortable whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family. We had the opportunity to be with animals and give them apples. The cabin at Sarah’s place is awesome. It’s warm and cozy with thoughtful touches and the rushing river is blissful. Seeing the salmon spawning and jumping was an extra treat. I highly recommend; I’ve stayed in multiple b&bs + camping locations in Portland, and this has by far been the best. This hipcamp is everything — it’s beyond cute, it’s in a good location, it has all the major amenities, and has the warmest host. We felt so safe here and so creative. The size was perfect for two people and one tiny dog, and it’s obvious that a great deal of care has been integrated into every detail of this airstream.
