Located on the south shore of Loon Lake in Douglas County, Oregon, our private park offers camping and a scenic venue for weddings and events. Following our 2023 approval as a private day-use park, we are proud to share that we have been officially approved as a campground now in 2026. Every visit to our family- and pet-friendly park directly funds the development and programming for Grandma Betty’s.
Park Guidelines & Information:
- Registration: All guests and vehicles must register prior or upon arrival and sign a release waiver.
- Safety: Please keep the front gate closed for privacy. Due to our wetland environment, stay on groomed trails and exercise caution near the water.
- Lakefront Access: Vehicles are not permitted on the lakefront peninsula; please use the designated loading zone next to Lake Creek dock #1.
- Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Fire Safety: Fire restrictions are evaluated daily. Please contact us for current protocols.
- Pets: Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome but must not be left unattended.
- Cancellations: We maintain a strict cancellation policy; however, we will honor cancelled nights at a future date based on availability.

One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek.
When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance.
Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive.
Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided.
Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

In 1948 a wildfire came thru what then was a mixed forest of spars old growth conifers, evergreen and deciduous broadleaf trees burning intensely enough to render the entire area to primarily grassland. Today it is quickly returning to primarily mixed forest, recovering the ability to hold water at cooler temperatures as it once did.
Nestled on the south slope of Dickinson Mountain it offers plenty of sunshine yet some of the best cool freshwater to be found anywhere. Although much of this paradise is considerably steep there are ample cow and goat trails to make exploring extremely enjoyable.
Bachelor Creek which runs thru approximately 1/2 mile of the Southeast portion is home to beaver, cutthroat, western pond turtles, great blue heron, and many other wildlife.
There is a pair of resident Redtail hawks, wild turkeys, deer, bobcat, coyote, cougar, mink, flying, silver grey, and pine squirrels, owls (sawhete, screach, Pigmy, barred, and great horned), and many others.
There are also many swimming holes on Bachelor Creek and a tributary we call Dancing creek, although they are all somewhat small the water is nice and refreshing for a quick dip on a warm day.
This is a working farm raising cattle, and chickens. On that note please don't feed any of the animals as they could become a real nuisance. If you are going to be leaving your camp for a hike or swim etc. please secure any food items to avoid a potential disaster.
The farm is 170 acres (a half mile by a half mile) and there is a fence all the way around it. Feel free to hike wherever, as long as you don't cross any fences you are still here.
You can take a dip in the creek where it comes out of the culvert below the road and there is a picnic table at each site as well as at the dipping hole.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! I hesitate to leave a good review because then too many people will learn how great this campground is and it will be harder for us to get a reservation. But, goodness wins and I declare we loved this campground.
It’s not the best if you want to do tent camping alongside trailer camping— the sites are fairly small, but if you are just taking your trailer, this spot is sweet. Close to the beach, close to town, clean, well run, friendly and responsive staff.
We’ve been twice during July 4th holiday and be warned… the fireworks at the closest beach are LOUD and they go until past midnight.

Great spot close to town, but also a perfect distance away! We were in Eugene for a quick visit and event. All the hotels were outrageous ($400+ 🙄 and averaging 2.7 stars.) We decided we could easily camp and this spot was just perfect!
Cindy, the host, was responsive and a great communicator. The spot was clean and felt private. It definitely beat an overpriced hotel by a long shot!! 10/10 would stay again!

BEAUTIFUL landscape. The spaces are, well, spacious! Great for larger rigs. Our spot (16) was level and easy to back into. It was right next to the dog park which was convenient and full of actual green grass. You can tell the owner has a lot of pride in this place. Bay Point Campground — 6 out of 5 stars!
So good, we stayed another night!
What a great campground! Bay Point has a little bit of everything: beautiful facilities, a saltwater pool, camp store, bar/lounge, kids room, playground, bocce ball courts, and options to bring your own setup or rent trailers and cabins — all right on the shoreline of Coos Bay.
The grandkids loved the beach and all the kid-friendly amenities, and there were plenty of other kids to play with. It was peaceful at night, too, which made it feel relaxing for everyone.
The laundry room, showers, and restrooms were immaculate. This place is truly a hidden gem on the coast!

Overall it was a bit of an odd experience however not in a bad way and I think more so to do with our own previous research before getting to Coos. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful throughout the process.
You’re about 10 minutes from the beach, we also walked to the pier and boardwalk area, wouldn’t do the second walk again and probably would also just drive to the beach next time as your walk while short is on the side of the road with a pretty big turn into oncoming traffic.
That said still a good experience and would recommend to friends

Wooded, immaculately landscaped and tended to. Really nice fenced in dog area, spotlessly clean bathrooms & showers. Play area for kids. Full hook ups. reasonably priced. The owners, Belinda and Brian were so kind and accommodating. They even had a masticating pump that you can hook up to with a refundable deposit! The beach is a short walk down the hill. Just gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach Bound RV campground. We will be back!

This was out first spot ever in our trailer and we had a great experience. It was clean and felt very cozy. The spaces are wide enough for us to back up into. It was quite and really enjoyed all the places to explore near by. We walked down to the county park and then drove to the gardens. Absolutely stunning.

I had a great experience, staying for a week while working in Eugene. I wasn’t there during the day and worked late mostly but managed to get there before Sunset for a quick walk.

This is a very nice spot, especially if you want convenient access to the Eugene area! The spot itself is a simple, no-frills flat gravel pad nestled in the trees on the side of a hill. It is private and relatively quiet — there is a small amount of distant road noise, but as someone who is a light sleeper, I slept great here. Cindy is a super responsive host. She got back to me almost immediately when I requested to book — very much appreciated! I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend it to anyone considering staying here!
