This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!
Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Located an hour west of Portland through Oregons wine country. We are located in Scoggins valley which is home to Henry Hagg lake and the Scoggins valley park. The Lake offers a bunch of recreation including swimming , boating ,fishing ,hiking , biking and paddle board rentals. The camp site is situated on the bottom of my property a half mile from the lake. It is a fairly secluded campsite with room for up to 6 tents. Nestled in the woods there is a nice verity of sunny and shady spots a campfire spot, a picnic table and a porta potty. Sain Creek recreational area is just off our road at the lake with C- ramp another quarter of a mile around the lake. All of the lake is a park so you have to enter the park to come to our spot.

Lyndsay's set up is amazing. She and her husband are great hosts, very kind and caring and friendly. The driveway was ample for our 27 ft bumper and our tow vehicle. All you services; electric, dump and water are conveniently located ( make sure you have an extension for your black water hose, we needed a longer run because of where our tank is). The neighborhood is so peaceful and you have acreage in the back with a hiking trail where we walked our dogs. This is one of the best HC we have stayed.

The Back 40 was a great spot. Tall trees, lots of birds, blueberries at our door, and pretty quiet for a residential area. Easy to walk our dog in the neighborhood or in the field behind the house. Lyndsy was a great host, even meeting to show us around when we were 30 minutes past check in. No issues with navigating the driveway with our 21 ft campervan. This is a pretty cool stay!
I liked the view, the chickens and even the rooster!
During my stay the wind was a welcomed plus - kept any pesky flying bugs away!
Enjoyed the sunset and during my stay some cool Mexican music was happening from a neighbor - hey, I poured a glass of wine and took advantage of the free concert.
It was easy to find with the directions - long gravel road up to the camp, so your vehicle/trailer gets a bit dusty but nothing that a little soap and water can't take care of.
Close enuff to Beaverton and Portland for a drive in on a 2 day stay.
Be sure to bring a camp rug or 2 to lay over the weeds and grass, especially tenters.
No neighbors and you can feel secure leaving behind your gear for a day trip to Henry Hagg Lake (25min drive)

We were just here for an overnight, but enjoyed it very much. It was nice to cook in the big communal kitchen rather than on my tiny van counter, we all had fun with the ping pong table in the rec room, wifi was fast, restrooms/ showers were nice and clean, and we enjoyed chatting with Jeremy over coffee! Our RAM Promaster struggled a bit to get back up one of the steep switchbacks in the driveway until we turned off the pesky traction control :) Thanks for a nice stay!

Scott and April were incredible hosts! This was my sister’s and my first day traveling in an RV and our first time having to park one, and they were so patient and helpful. They connected everything for us, walked us through the setup, and made sure we felt comfortable operating the RV on our own.
Their property is absolutely beautiful, and they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They invited us over for coffee, shared fresh eggs from their chickens, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
