Small creek near residential area. Choice of wide open spaces, partial or full shade spots available. Short walking trail along the creek line is maintained. 'Rocky Cross' Geocach nearby. Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. If traveling here from the South (only on Ohio State Route 127), please note the height restrictions on three roads that connect SR 127 with the parallel Wayne Trace Road. The names of the roads to avoid:

Brower (Height restriction 10' 0" over Seven Mile Creek)
7 Mile Road (Height restriction 10' 6" and very sharp turn to bridge)

A suggested route from traveling North on State Route 127 to Camp Rocky Run is to turn in Camden, OH on State Route 725 and head East to Wayne Trace Road.
!! NOTE on RV types !! You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping.
!! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.)
!! NOTE on Class A RVs with towed vehicle !!
If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods.

At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. My family of 5 plus our doggo camped here for 2 nights and let me just say, we absolutely loved it!
I'll get the ONE and only con out of the way with this particular site and that's that it is the closest to the road, so street traffic can be heard, when there is any, and the train that runs through can get quite noisy, especially at night. Aside from that, it's a BEAUTIFUL property to camp on.
Our first night, we got hit with a very unexpected storm while setting up our site, however, this site sits pretty high above the water level so we didn't run into any issues with flooding. It's right along the creek, with access directly on site, however, it is a bit steep to get in. There is a short walk to access the creek farther downstream though, and we thoroughly enjoyed taking that walk as a family and enjoying the water and finding fossils among all the rocks!
The hosts are incredibly friendly, as are their pets, and very accommodating.
We have found a new favorite spot and will definitely be back to camp again! 10/10 would recommend!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay this past weekend at Riverside Acres on the Little Miami River. The scenery was stunning—towering sycamores, the quiet flow of the river, and that peaceful, wooded sanctuary right at our doorstep. Our campsite was super clean and roomy, with plenty of space to spread out and settle in. Dirk and Lori could not have been more accommodating hosts; they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and treated the property like the special place it is. The only downside was wishing we could have stayed a little longer. We will definitely be booking another long weekend here, and we hope to bring friends along next time so they can experience this beautiful stretch of river for themselves.

Wonderful location on the river, large sites, plenty of privacy, great hosts, would definitely recommend. We’ve been camping at Morgan’s for over 20 years and are so happy they were able to keep some of the best sites along the river and still down size to a manageable level that better meets their needs. I like the way Dirk has managed the landscape to assure more privacy per site and allow access to the river.

We had a blast! It was so peaceful. We were right next to the river. It wasn’t a walk out, but a careful climb down and we were right in it. Martha was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Extra firewood was available for a donation if we ran out. We will definitely be returning!

Second time camping on the property. The hosts are friendly and the property is beautiful. We had no problem getting to the site in our low 2wd hatch. The site was right on the creek perfect for swimming and fishing. We caught some small mouth and enjoyed the sound of the creek at night.

Amazing experience. Friendly hosts. Great spot to fish and swim on a hot summer day. Enjoyed our time there, would recommend again. Love how close it was to Yellow Springs!

Tent camping on Vaughn's land was definitely the right decision. The fee was not much more than the pricetag for most state parks, but the solitude, creek access, and hospitality of Vaughn's family made it one of the coolest camping experiences my kids and I have ever enjoyed. We absolulely loved the creek, the cookies, the farm, the cows, and the 1800's Ohio barn. We will be back.

Group trip
We tent camped. The space was great. Plenty of room for 4-5 tents. The spot had plenty of trees for shade and seclusion. Great view of the river.
