Brookhaven Mill Farm

4 sites · RVs, Tents23 acres · Greensboro, NC
Our farm is an agritourism farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo and animal therapy for a fee. It is free to walk around the farm and visit our animals, but there is a cost to go inside the barnyard for a petting zoo experience. To visit the farm which includes the petting zoo, Farm store and chicken pen, you would need to arrive on either a Friday or Saturday afternoon since we are only open on weekends from 10-4. Our campsites are reasonably priced at $25/night for a maximum of 5 nights. We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. We do have a 250-gallon water tote with hose for you to fill up containers of water. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge a flat $10. Please coordinate with us prior to your arrival so we can everything ready for you to fill. ************************************************************************************** We offer both tent and RV camping in an empty pasture adjacent to our grazing pasture where you can enjoy our animals in their natural habitat. Or, come up to the barn and get up close and personal with them during an "Animal Therapy" session if you will be here Sat or Sun!   Pitch your tent on the edge of the woods or close by the stream in the woods. If you enjoy watching wildlife, you're in for a treat...this magical portion of the farm provides a forest cover for songbirds, owls, deer, red-shouldered hawks, both red and gray fox and wild turkey.   We allow check-ins during the week, which may be perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed until the weekends. We will let you check in any time after noon and check out the next day by noon. Weekends from 10-4 we open the Farm to visitors (campers and non-campers alike) to visit our animals and our Farm Store with a variety of groceries, supplies, gifts, and critter snacks so you can feed your choice of animals!   While we are dog-friendly, we also observe a dog-free zone, which is any area where we have our animals, so enjoy your leashed pet around the camping area, woods or along our driveway but please do not bring your dog past the gates that lead to our house, chicken yard, farm store, barn or petting zoo. Our large grassy field can accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers and RVs less than 30'. We have picnic tables, porta potties and fire rings for each camping party to have their own space.

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground

10 sites · RVs, Tents22 acres · Ronda, NC
Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs (American Viticultural Area). We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards. Take a day trip to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Airy, Winston-Salem, Charlotte or additional areas of interest. We love it here and would like to share it with you. Loft w/Woodstove and HOT Shower !!

1 site · Lodging76 acres · Lexington, NC
Take the opportunity to stay in a one of a kind Farm Store loft on a real working farm. Crossings is a true market farm that has been in our family for over 11 generations. While the main focus of Crossings is always to be a community farm, we love opening our home and farm to respectful visitors. The loft is over our farm store and accessed by a curved staircase (no door between) . The farm setting offers a comfy spot for someone looking for a quiet spot to relax and rest after a day exploring out and about. The cozy space it perfect for 2 people who are looking for a unique spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of their normal lives. The farm store space on the first floor is a public area that is frequented by our regular customers during the day, especially on Saturdays. We allow our Airbnb guests to lock the farm store from 6pm to 9am each night for ultimate privacy and enjoyment of the space. There is a bistro table can that be used for picking up take-out or a simple meal cooked on the wood stove or outdoor grill. The back porch is a perfect spot to enjoy a nice rock in our Troutman Co. rocking chairs while listening to the farm sounds and seeing our crew gather eggs, move the cows, or re-stock the Farm Store. Not in the mood to hike into a spot? You can pull straight into the driveway and park to the left of the farm store. Other things to note **Please note that you are staying on a working family farm. There are multiple farm animals (chickens, pigs, cows, horses, farm dogs and cats) that are in close proximity to the Farm Store. We ask that you maintain and do not go into the fenced areas, greenhouses or our barns for biosecurity. We also ask that you not feed the animals, even though they may come up to the fence. *We do have farm workers (including ourselves) who are in and round the farm all day feeding animals, tending to the garden areas, filling orders and re-stocking the farm store. All of our team will maintain social distancing, but feel free to ask any questions of them while you are here. *Saturdays are our "busier" days on the farm. Our Farm Store is "open" and staffed that day for our regular customer needs. We are normally cutting wood, moving animals, fixing fence, building structures, re-stocking the farm store, mowing and weed eating. *If you have any concerns around our Farm Loft stay, please reach out to us prior to booking so that we can answer any questions with transparency. We have tried to give you an honest picture of what our Farm Stay is like since we are a very active working farm.

Camp Bucolo

2 sites · RVs, Tents25 acres · Tobaccoville, NC
Learn more about this land:I live on a little farm in rural North Carolina. My house is surrounded by about 6 acres of old woods. The farm consists of 3 other houses and their privacy must be respected at all times. There are walking trails and a creek to hang out at. There is room for a sleeper van or truck but this location is more ideal for tent camping in the woods. Camp Bucolo is also a music oriented location. I am a musician and I would welcome any opportunity to collaborate and trade music tastes.

Ancient Spring Farm

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents25 acres · Snow Camp, NC
Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; learn about archaeology, history, and plants; and get homegrown seasonal food. Listen to birdsong and watch clouds during the day, wander a path through our ca. 5 acres of woods, and star watch at night. Nearby are hiking, horseback riding, historical sites, fishing, antiques, wineries, shooting, and more. We are located in a rural area and have many different domesticated and wild animals so you may hear diverse animal noises and see or smell animal poop, although we try to keep things clean and tidy around the farm. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place.

Starry Night Meadow-campsite

4 sites · Lodging2 acres · Whitsett, NC
Located on our 2 acre property, you can see open fields next door with horses & cows & a distant lake. While renting our fully equipped pop-up camper, you will enjoy using the large fire pit under the large night sky. And if it’s rainy, there’s a covered dining & lounge/bar area with a camping kitchen ready to host you along with games. Also comes with a new propane grill, super clean half-bath outside camping style & stocked with toilet essentials for your convenience. We have two corgis that play & run around on our property as well. It is near a main road so you may hear some traffic from time to time, but it is very peaceful most of the time. We have no neighbors close by, except the horses and cows. We live on the front side of property facing the main road, and campsite is located at the back facing a fenced area with neighboring fields with horses and donkeys & sometimes the cows wander up on the opposite field. There are large trees that block a view of the main road, hedges that block some of the side road, and newly planted bushes on the opposite side of the fire pit. While at the fire pit, you may see the back side of our home, but you will enjoy complete privacy from our family if that is what you prefer. You may be greeted by our two curious corgis from time to time but if that is worrisome to you, please let us know and we will accommodate you as best we can! If you need a more glamping experience, we have a tiny home/glamper on site as well with TV & a plush queen size bed with a/c and heat. Just message me for details if you can’t find it here. We are just a mile away from Red Oak Brewery & the highway. There’s some awesome breweries and wineries nearby and in Greensboro as well, and we’re happy to tell you where some are if you have questions! There is a TA truck stop with showers for rent if you need a shower. We’re also not far from a brand new Planet Fitness in Burlington if you have a membership with them and need a shower. Instacart delivers here as well as Ubereats and doordash. There are a lot of close restaurants and fast food and a CVS, so if you have any questions about food, I’m happy to help!
