we love love love Grateful Acres! this is our third year and we can’t wait to come back again! Seeing Stephanie and Noah is like seeing old friends. They are so warm and welcoming and we are so happy to see them. Our stay at Sunshine Cabin was fantastic as usual and we especially appreciated that we can pay in advance for wood and for trash removal. We hope to see you again in the fall, but if not, we’ll definitely see you next year!

This was my second time staying at the Pines site, and it did not disappoint! You feel like you are in the deep woods, secluded and private. There were other campers on the property, but never saw a soul. Heather is gracious and very communicative, you can tell she truly cares about your experience and safety on her land. I will be back! I stayed here overnight while on a bicycle packing trip. Heather was really great and accommodated a schedule change on my part. The farm and land beautiful and my site (Ridgeline) had a beautiful view, a covered sitting area, chairs and a firepit. Heather made sure I was all set up with firewood and bug spray. A great host, Highly recommended!

Nicole and her partner were really friendly with great local knowledge. The site was easy to find and access, the outhouse toilet had lots of homely touches. It was also very sweet to be surrounded by the rescue horses. Highly recommend this spot. It was muddy when we arrived due to high rainfall and they were very accommodating making sure we didn’t get stuck and offered help out.

Heather was so so nice and welcoming to us when we arrived and walked us through everything that we might need during our stay. The site was great, super private and our dog was able to roam free and explore which he absolutely loved. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short one night but Heather was so nice and offered us a free night for sometime in the future. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Kimberly has been very welcoming and hospitable. The location was well maintained and promises a lot with beautiful views which brings freshness to the eyes. I’d recommend this place to others and be back again sometime this summer. It’s a delight for the dog lovers as she has 4 amazing dogs, with Lucky being our personal favorite. She has various other animals like Lamas, Alpacas etc., which are fun to watch. A must visit place for weekend getaways.

Weekend Trip to Horses-n-Harleys Farm

Had a great time camping overnight at Nicole's farm so I could get to my kid's crew meet. The site is in sight of the house, but private, and because it was windy, Nicole allowed me to set up in one of the horse shelters. The bathroom is a real bathroom! and very cute; and there's the option of a hot shower. Nicole was friendly and helpful, including with tips about viewing the meet. Will definitely stay there again!

I loved my stay at Fernando's Cabin! I was worried about being too cold given the temperature outside but the cabin was so cozy, I had to actually to turn the heat down. The basics were all provided. I used my phone as a hotspot with no problems but there was also a hotspot in the cabin. The property is so beautiful and the hot tub was great. Looking forward to staying again !

You can swim in the pond, take casual strolls around the property, enjoy the campfire at night, bike for miles on scenic country roads, and use this site as a jumping off point to discover all the beer, wine, cheese, concerts, festivals, hiking, kayaking, restaurants, shopping and more that the greater Capital Region has to offer! According to a few sources we've consulted, the Mohican people (Eastern Algonquian family of tribes - not to be confused with the Mohawk, a distinctly different tribe) were the indigenous occupants of the land where our farm is now located. Historians note that the name Mohican is from the indigenous word meaning "water that flows in two directions." Most Mohicans were driven into western NY and Canada when the Revolutionary War broke out. Local history indicates that the first white occupants to build here were the Hawley Family, in 1790. Parts of the farmhouse date to this era. Outbuildings were added through the decades and centuries, and the land was used as a dairy farm, among other ventures, by previous owners. We purchased the property in 2021 in hopes of providing more space, nature and outdoor living for our two little ones. We have two fields dedicated to Christmas trees, as well as apple, pear and cherry trees, and we've had successful garlic harvests to share with neighbors, family, friends, and at local farmers' markets. Adirondack Rustic Retreat

As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!

The Long Trail follows the main ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts-Vermont state line to the Canadian border, crossing Vermont’s highest peaks. As for the daily adventures, take a drive to surrounding ski resorts, including Bromley Mountain being just 15 miles from the property, where you can enjoy various activities year-round. Take a 10 minute drive to visit Mount Equinox Skyline drive where you’ll take in incredible views. Just past Mount Equinox is The Village of Manchester, which is home to the famed Equinox Resort and Spa. In Manchester, guests can enjoy everything from shopping & dining to outdoor classes for ATV driving and fly fishing!
