Description

Roger Rock Campground is the prime place to rock out with the whole fam-bam! The grounds are situated on the northern end of Lake George, making this place a perfect spot to hike, launch your boat, peacefully canoe, catch a fish, jetski, water ski, sail, tube, or simply swim near the beach in a guarded area. Pavilions and fireplaces available for your celebrations make picnicking especially popular here. If the hype is too much and those kids keep bumping their volleyball into your space, grab a boat and make for the Lake George Islands for a more secluded and primitive experience.

Stayed here on memorial day weekend. The camp grounds are wonderfully well kept and clean. The DEC staff, rangers, police were very polite in my experience - even on such a crowded and rowdy weekend. The site sizes are generally pretty small and they are all very close together. I would recommend registering for sites with vacancy on both sides if possible. I had a great experience camping here and would definitely come back.

Each site includes one of these nice concrete fire pits with an included cooking grate that flips downGreat view of the stars out over the lakeSunsets were okay, the beach doesn't face the right way but you can still get some nice colors. Boat launch area
