Escape to Shadow Pond, a peaceful 28-acre retreat tucked into the hills of Moretown, Vermont. Pitch your tent beside a quiet pond surrounded by towering pines, spend the evening around a campfire, and wake to birdsong and fresh mountain air. Watch for deer, turtles, frogs, and songbirds as you unwind in a setting that feels worlds away from everyday life. Wander the property, take a refreshing dip in the spring-fed pond, pick wild berries when they're in season, or enjoy a friendly round on our rustic three-hole disc golf course. Whether you're relaxing by the water or exploring the woods, there's plenty of room to slow down and enjoy nature. Although you'll feel tucked away, Shadow Pond is just 15 minutes from Waterbury and within easy reach of Stowe, the Mad River Valley, scenic hiking trails, breweries, restaurants, and many of Vermont's most popular attractions. We're opening just one private campsite, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the same peaceful corner of Vermont that our family has cherished for years. Whether you're looking for a quiet overnight stop or a weekend getaway, Shadow Pond offers a place to unplug, recharge, and experience Vermont at a slower pace. 10 ft truck camper
Had a great experience , I is so nice of them to share this place with others. I messaged Tonya late afternoon because the listing said sight would fit something 10 ft long. She got back to me with in minutes and said my truck would not be a problem. Even tho I was tired from a day of mountain biking , I had a chance to talk with both of them, also pet the friendliest golden reteiver, and play around with the disc golf they had to use. Will defiantly stay here again. The portapotty was super clean and had a built in light , and was very convent . It is an off grid property and they welcome you to check out the trails in the wood and even swim in the ponds. Thank you, Egil

This was such a great place! Tanya was so lovely. She brought us wood, fire starters, and water. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and need a nice, convenient place to stay.

Tonya's land is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. I was here just a short time (one night) but definitely would love to go back. Tonya has a beautiful site where I pitched my tent. There was a stack of firewood which was covered to keep dry. She greeted me and was very pleasant and accommodating. It was rainy and chilly so she messaged me to see if I needed anything. Very sweet of her! There is also the cleanest/nicest porta potty I've ever seen. I highly recommend Tonya's place on Shadow Pond!
