This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. There is one rustic cabin available for rent, along with a teepee site, and 2 tent sites. We are between the Finger Lakes and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, just 1 mile off highway 99/15. Sites are located less than a 400 yard hike from the parking area, each site having both a picnic table and fire ring. There is an outhouse located within 250 yards from all sites. There is river access one mile from camp. Campers that require help getting to a site, can be driven up the hill via side by side. Every site is connected to state land with over 2,700 acres worth of hiking trails. We have a number of mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes, snow shoes, tents, sleeping bags/mats, etc. available for rent on site. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here for practice (or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it's typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! We had an amazing last-minute stay at Mary’s place. Our pups loved having the freedom to roam off leash, and it was so nice to relax by the tent and take in the fall scenery. The woodstove kept us cozy all night, and Mary was very kind and responsive throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Haven in the trees

Beautiful location and views! The cabin is so lovely- straight forward but also well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches and art! Loved hanging on the screen-in porch and being able to take a hot shower outside. Sauna was incredible, just takes time and patience :) Air mattress was comfier than I expected too. I hope to return for another staycation in the woods soon!

Thanks for having us!! I must say your cabin was perfect! Secluded and no neighbors, much room for the dogs to run on your private, well maintained property! The cabin was extremelyclean and spacious. The wifi worked great and the big TV came in handy for the rainy day. We couldn't have asked for a cozier place to stay. 2 nights at Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course

This was my second time staying at the little barn on the hill and my first solo trip there. It was a rainy autumn afternoon when I showed up but perfectly cozy inside the hayloft, where I set up my hammock. Laurel got me acquainted with the many new amenities, as they seem to always be making wonderful upgrades to the property. Mike and Laurel's land is the perfect place for me to go when I don't want the hassle of setting up my tent and want a wall and roof and a little electricity. To a tenter, this is a luxurious paradise and I can't wait to return.

Our experience at The Christmas Tree Farm Hidden Delight was absolutely wonderful. Mary was a fantastic host. She was friendly and thorough in her communication, even recommending places to enjoy in the area. We arrived later in the day and were thrilled that she had started a fire in the woodstove inside the tent and had also started a campfire for us. So very thoughtful and a fabulous surprise. The site itself is incredibly private with amazing views. The firewood she provided was dry and plentiful, a bonus since it was a bit chilly for much of our visit. It was great to be able to have the dogs off leash too. We enjoyed our time immensely and highly recommend the site. Thank you, Mary!

The cabin was a lovely retreat and had all the essentials and more needed for the two of us and our pup. Highly recommend the walk to the park waterfall. Also nice added touches to have a good space heater and corn hole set up available. Very easy to access Watkins Glen and nearby parks.

This is truly an amazing space. Offers multiple places to stay depending on your likes and dislikes. It’s relatively remote, however very peaceful surroundings. Made use of the water activities as well as visited many nearby towns. What a gracious hostess.

Weekend Trip to Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course

Staying at Mike’s and Laurel’s property was an amazing getaway! Close to great food and cute towns, less than 5 minutes from an amazing state park, and less than a half an hour away from Ithaca and some of the finger lakes! We also had an absolute riding Trial Motorcycles for the first time! I recommend the scavenger hunt to get familiar with the property and the Trial biking course. Looking forward to our next stay!

The cabin was so clean and lovely! It was nicely secluded and cozy as well. We were especially happy to walk the trails in bloom and enjoy our coffee by the creek - watching the chipmunks scurry. We would absolutely come back for another visit!

This was a last minute stop on our trip. Aric was very accommodating! I would love to come back in the summer, it seems like a really good time. The cabin was clean and cozy. There was a like a clubhouse with a kitchen, warm shower and toilets. It wasn’t a far walk.. The other campers were very courteous. We happen to come on the last weekend and they were having a potluck. I love being nude in nature. This was perfect!

The cabin we stayed in is situated in a walnut grove beside a bubbly stream. On the last day, we checked out the waterfall at the end of the drive. Wow! Next time maybe I will forgo the cabin so I can sleep beside the tranquil sounds of the waterfall.

Great spot, I loved looking at the pond and listening to all of the wildlife. I enjoyed the propane lights - it really added to the wilderness feeling. Nice place to disconnect from the world.

Where to go

Seneca Lake

The largest of the Finger Lakes has forest hiking trails, patchwork vineyards, and farm-to-table dining experiences right at its fingertips. Once you've gone wine hopping along the largest of the Finger Lakes wine trails, marveled at the waterfalls in Watkins Glen State Park, and enjoyed boating around Sampson State Park, check into a state park campground or book an RV park around Seneca Falls or Geneva.

Cayuga Lake

An 87-mile scenic byway loops around Cayuga Lake, affording panoramic views over the lake and the surrounding wine country. At the southern tip, Ithaca is the gateway to Buttermilk Falls State Park and Taughannock Falls State Park, while the nearby Finger Lakes National Forest is the ideal spot for a backcountry camping experience—dispersed camping is permitted throughout.

Western Lakes

West of Seneca Lake, there are plenty of ways to get on the water at Keuka, Canandaigua, and Honeoye lakes. Camp amid the vineyards at Keuka Lake State Park, check into an RV resort at Naples or Hammondsport, or escape the crowds at the Honeoye Lake boat launch. Further west, Letchworth State Park is home to the "Grand Canyon of the East," where its waterfalls and forests are most magnificent during fall foliage season.

Eastern Lakes

Syracuse is the entry point to Finger Lakes' eastern corner, where you'll find Owasco, Skaneateles, and Otisco lakes. Swimming and water skiing are popular pastimes at Owasco Lake, and there's a great campground and swimming pool at Fillmore Glen State Park. If you’re seeking peace and quiet, neighboring Skaneateles is a tranquil spot for boating.
