Retreat to the country in this beautifully restored 19th c. Greek Revival church located in the quaint hamlet of Waterburg, a 5-minute drive from the Village of Trumansburg and a 12-minute drive to Ithaca in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country. This magical property offers an ideal space to think, write, relax and get away from it all. Over the years, the space has been the perfect home to grad students finishing their degrees in art, literature, history, architecture, information science, music and theatre. Originally a Methodist Episcopal church (ca.1850), the 'Waterburg Church' consists of one large open room with three walls on wheels to move about as you please. There is one king-sized bed, and a roll-out Japanese floor mattress is available for guests. The space is fully furnished and adorned with artwork created by the visionary artist (Paul Chambers) who rescued and renovated the space from a derelict state. Awesome church stay

renovated Greek Revival church

One of a kind place . It was clean and cozy. Nice location in TBurg, you’re far enough but not too far from Ithaca and other surrounding areas. I’d recommend this place to anyone !
