It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka. Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinarily beautiful spots on earth that make you feel like you are in another world. It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below. The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls. Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. Perfect for a weekend escape from the city. The cabin was spacious and spotless, and the restroom was well-maintained. No service, water, or electricity, but firewood was ready for us, and the nights under the stars were amazing. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and check-in/check-out were very flexible and smooth. It felt a little pricey for a basic setup, but we still really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to disconnect and recharge in nature.

I strongly recommend staying at this beautiful camp site, Rita is absolutely amazing we had great time, watching the stars at night was very nice and relaxing. Lake George is near by for great times and views. I’d recommend bringing at AWD car or suv/truck. RITA is the best host ever anything you need she will respond and give right away. We will definitely come back in the summer.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this cabin. The land is breathtaking. The waterfall was everything I could’ve asked for on my birthday for fun swimming adventures. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved using the solar shower bags under the full moon for an additional cold plunge indulgence. Diner nearby makes a mean strawberry shortcake with biscuits. Awesome farmers market. Stay here-you will love it!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Williams property is amazing. I camped with my 14 and 4 year old and we had the best time, both kids said they wished they stayed another night. I agree. The bed was comfy, the unlimited fire wood a life saver. Clean porta-potty. The creek nearby was gorgeous, the kids made Cairns and we drew on rocks with other rocks. Just make sure to bring your water, soap, ample food and lanterns. Im already dreaming of the next stay there. The host! William was extremely kind, checked in with me on my way up, and I felt like I was coming to visit family. I recommend this spot 10/10 and i think it was worth every penny.

Weekend Trip to Locust Grove Waterfall

Absolutely loved it here. A piece of natures heaven and will be coming back again. It was really nice that there were camping supplies there, charcoal grill, some bowls, a tent heater, bedding, and even the outhouse was supplied to help keep it fresh. Loved the waterfall and swimming hole, plenty of spots to relax at and the view is breathtaking. I loved the trails, hammocks, and signs, that even come with a sense of humor. Communication with the host was so great and appreciated. I cant say enough great things. I cant wait to come back again for a whole weekend and ill be prepared to hear the coyotes that time around - LOL!

Such an amazing weekend! Spectacular views, kayaking down the river, glamping at its finest with literally everything you need. Seriously, bring bedding, food, a good book, and a power bank and you are set. Rita is such a lovely and thoughtful host. We will definitely be back. Very limited service with Verizon which personally I loved to be able to escape for a weekend. We've been fortunate to stay at a lot of cool hipcamps and airbnbs/vrbos but this is one for the books 😊

3 nights at High Peak Meadows

We had a wonderful trip at High Peak Meadows. We had an issue because of weather, but we pivoted and changed sites. All worked out fine. We got lucky and still had a couple clear nights where the stars were magnificent! The leaves were just changing and the property had some decent views. We set up a project and fairy lights.. it was pretty magical. ❤️ Good location and Mark was so very helpful even though he wasn't physically there.
