Learn more about this land: Treehouse cabin supported by two mighty hemlocks and overlooking the creek. Heated by a wood stove in winter and very cool in the summer warmth. Cabin lullabied by water-rush white noise. Completely off grid and sun powered. Cooktop, fire pit and mini fridge available for food preparation and storage. Drinking water and shower are spring fed with a 200 gallon reserve for your stay. Propane water heater, beautiful bathroom vista. What to expect

Parking isn't available at the site. You will park a short distance away and walk to the site (1-5 mins)

A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for best access.

Campfires allowed
Firepit, wood burning fireplace. We recommend picking up a couple of bags of kiln-dried firewood that you can purchase at any gas station. This will really help you initially kindle a fire

Flush toilet. New toilet and septic system for the cabin installed summer of 2024

Off leash. We have free- range often curious chickens. Please be responsible for your pet's behaviour
Potable water available
Tap. Spring fed- annually tested- very clean
Showers available
Hot water . -Showering - Turn the shower knob all the way to the left, this will activate the hot water propane heater just outside the bathroom addition. When water becomes hot adjust to liking. The spring becomes more scarce in the summer months. There is a 300 gallon reserve for your stay but please be judicious with water use or you may run out (we recommend keeping showers under 10 minutes).
Cooking equipment present
Grill over firepit, private, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, dishwasher, sink or other dishwashing station. -Kitchen Compost- We compost all food scraps (dairy, meat, coffee filters included). Food-imbued paper such as napkins are also ok in moderate quantity. Adjacent to the garden, behind the wood pile, you will see a pallet structure, that is the compost (use the section with the OPEN sign). Dump your kitchen compost there before you leave and as frequently during your stay as you wish.
Pack it out
Since we are in agriculture zoning, there is no trash collection. We take our landfill trash and recyclables to the transfer station once weekly so please be mindful of the waste you produce- it will be in our company for several days at a time. Give cans and meat product packaging a rinse, and avoid organic (compostable) material in the trash or all the raccoons and marsupials on the mountain will be sure to pay us a visit. Hang up your garbage and recycling bags on the porch hooks and I’ll collect them after you check out.

Wonderful, private little getaway, with all the basic amenities covered. The cabin had nice personal touches and a charming layout. We enjoyed the view from the back deck overlooking the stream. The hot shower was fantastic after a long day! The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We spent two nights at this magical little house, and I think it’s the first time I’ve truly missed a place after leaving. Everything was thoughtfully crafted — you can feel the love and talent of the people who built it with their own hands. From the smallest kitchen details to the balcony overlooking the creek, and the shower with a floor-to-ceiling window facing the forest — it’s all just perfect. A huge thank you to the hosts for creating such a cozy and welcoming space. We’ll definitely be back! 💚💚💚

Serenading Creek Cabin

We absolutely loved this little cabin! The pictures don’t do it justice. It was the perfect size for my partner and I to enjoy the week end (they are 6”4 and fit comfortably up in the loft!), and having the option to take a hot shower was magical. We brought our own cooler to try and conserve energy on the fridge, I really recommend doing so, as you can use it as a small table to hang out on the deck with. The sound of the rain in the woods is gorgeous, the sound of the creek at night with the critters and the bugs is amazing, and the land itself it’s on is so beautiful. Natalie was so kind and very helpful, she and her family are very lovely and have such a beautiful cabin and homestead.

Beautiful, cozy cabin in the woods

This is a beautiful cabin, and one of my favorite Hipcamps ever! We loved the lofted bed, the shower’s floor to ceiling window overlooking the creek, the lovely sitting area and wood stove (though it was still too warm to use it), and the fire pit area. Natalia is also a wonderful, super responsive host. Thanks for a great stay!

We really enjoyed Natalia’s property! She was friendly, sweet, and helpful. The property was beautiful and just what we needed as a reset from every day life as well and electronic devices! The cabin was very well kept and the view of the river behind the cabin was breathtaking. It was perfect for our anniversary get away with our two pups!

The hemlock was a wonderful stay for me, my son and our dog. Natalia left clear instructions on how to operate all the appliances and the place was spotless! The cabin is in a shaded area so it stays cool even in 80+ temps. The creek is a wonderful place for kids and dogs to play and the cabin is very private. Also loved not having the option of using my phone, which gave me the reset I needed.

I stayed for two lovely nights in the off grid cabin. Quiet, nothing but the sound of a creek. There is a sink, shower, stove top, composting toilet, and a cozy loft to sleep in. It was a rejuvenating experience. Thank you Natalia!

LOVED this little paradise of nature. If you want to try yourself at tiny living, off grid living, sleeping in the trees, be one with natural land, then I highly recommend this place! Not to mention that the host are pretty amazing people! Take time to visit the surrounding area, including Coopertown Farming Market on Saturday morning!

Slice of an offgrid paradise!

Natalia, Dan and the whole family are fantastic hosts! Their offgrid cabin is just perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet. Our boys, 8&9, had a great time in the creek and playing at the pond. This property gave my husband and I the itch to go off grid ourselves! Hope to be back! Thanks again Natalia & Dan!

A beautiful experience

Dan and Natalia have an amazing place. Not just the beautiful and well equipped cabin but the whole property is a beautiful experience. But the most important thing is the great people we meet. Dan was a great host, he showed us the property and was very welcoming ❤️! We had a great experience!

Amazing experience. The tiny house is charming, beautiful, and very cozy, but most interesting of it is the great view of the woods and the nearby stream. The hosts are lovely and friendly. I hope to come back sometime.
