Learn more about this land: A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound.  Plenty of privacy with screens around the site. This is the best deal in town. It was equally as comfortable as a hotel but you’re out in a beautiful landscape. There are privacy screens, so while the owner’s home is in sight, it still feels like you have your own space. George was really welcoming and we chatted about their lovely garden. Next time, we’d like to stay a bit longer, as this was just an overnight before the Fall Foliage Half Marathon. But nevertheless we woke up feeling rested for the run and really enjoyed our brief stay.

We stayed for one night and didn't spend much time at the site since we were visiting our son in college nearby. But it was just what we needed! A quiet, wooded spot with a covered picnic table AND dry lean-to just the right size for our tent (made for very comfortable sleeping). George and his wife were very friendly and gave us directions to the nearby farmer's market. It's a wonderful area to visit and this campsite was a very pleasant alternative to staying in a hotel.

I had a lovely stay! The hosts are super communicative. The location is easy to find, though it is a trek up the hill so best to arrive before dark. I needed to do a photoshoot with a stone firepit and they have two sites with amazing constructed fire pits you can sit around! So lovely. (and absolutely tons of wood provided.) The latrine was nice and clean and there's a picnic table to use. The weather in late September was super summer-like warm. It definitely feels like being in the middle of the woods, but with the peace of mind that someone is nearby should you need anything. Oh and... a bear came by! It was a friendly bear that just licked up some water and didn't go after any of my food, but one should know there are bears in the area so best to leave food in your car and not in a tent overnight. (The host said if you make lots of noise they don't see bears but I was sitting quietly by myself for a while so got this super exciting experience.) This spot is super lovely and I hope to come back and stay again!

Great site for a laid back weekend! Host was so kind and helpful, directions were clear, site was immaculate and includes a covered picnic table/benches, fire pit with chairs, outhouse and lean-to where games, potable water and more chairs are located. My 3P tent fit in the lean-to which I opted to set up in due to the sudden severe weather and not a drop of rain made its way inside. Plenty of places to set tents up if you'd rather sleep outside. Traffic noise was minimal and privacy screens are set up around the site. Rhinebeck is close by for trails or dining out. I was mostly here to get some quiet time with a stack of books while recovering from a back injury, but there's plenty to do on and off site as well. I'll definitely be back.

What else is there to say? I'm a performer by nature, considered TransJester, and therefore I'm flowery in my admiration for Des and his small piece of literal Feywild magick. Throughout the entire process, he suffered my questions in regards to my 'cule, available water supply, and the general "Privacy" of the space. Not only did he answer every question that I had, he communicated in a timely manner, and never once left me hanging when I asked a silly or complex question! Even came home with a new felt friend! Des, Sorry in advance. It's your own fault I must say, for facilitating an oasis tailor made for someone as eccentric as my group of creatures. If you're concerned about general physical (or invisible) disabilities, worry not. While the path down is gravel, Des offered a ride and assisted with the unpacking no questions asked. The Cabin, Kitchen, and Bathroom facilities are all immaculate. Mini Fridge, Ice Chest, Firepit, plenty of seating and grilling utensils, your community needs are met. Warm water shower?? Yes please! The Cabin was comfortable with bunk Full/Queen air mattress beds, functioning outlets, a TV, and AIR CONDITIONING! CPAP friendly! The privacy was spectacular. We saw maybe 5 people (and even then, across a lake's worth of distance) the whole weekend. The freedom to be as comfortable as you deem necessary was wonderful. Plenty of tent space, with a few surprise vistas that you should experience on your own. Dogs welcomed, it's our new nature haven.

Brought some of my friends who had never been camping before here, and they already want to go again next year. Had a very nice weekend at Archmage Sanctuary, secluded campsite with very considerate hosts. The hosts were very responsive and kind, would love to visit the site again next year. Kent had a lot to offer in the downtown, and there were plenty of hiking trails within the area. Would highly recommend camping here!

Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!) At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer. About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.) The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

Learn more about this land: A grassy meadow nestled between a forested ridge the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, an open access walking and bike path. The Rosendale Rail Trail Cafe is just across the meadow from you and Rosendale trestle bridge is a short bike or walk away. We do have hot water showers and heated bathrooms in the Owlwood. Use our hand drawn map to find your way around the farm. Please drive extremely slowly while on the farm road, there and kids and critters everywhere and your car will thank you! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. There are a variety of bars and restaurants located in the small town of Rock Hill, as well as our local Farmer's Market every Saturday only during the summer months. The cabin is a short trip away from the local grocery store, a five minute drive to Resorts World Casino and Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. A twenty-five minute drive to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (sight of the 1969 Woodstock Festival). OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE: Please respect our non-smoking policy. There is absolutely NO smoking of any kind allowed in the cabin. A $200 charge will be applied if you do smoke inside to cover the additional cleaning costs. No Drugs or illegal activity. No Smoking or vaping. No incense or candles. We always like our guests to know ahead of time that there is mild to moderate vehicle and foot traffic near the hiking trails during the day. As this location has become more and more popular, the individuals who come to hike, bike, fish, hunt, etc. are required to parallel park their cars on the opposite side of the road. However, our property is private and clearly posted, and may only be used by our guests. The cell phone service is very weak when you first arrive at the cabin however, once you are connected to the WiFi you should have capability to call and text. Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

The campground near the renowned Shawangunks climbing area is unique because it offers climbers the rare opportunity to camp with modern amenities, including hot showers and running water, right at the base of the cliffs. Established through a collaboration in 2006 between the Mohonk Preserve, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, and the American Alpine Club, this site has transformed the climbing experience in the region. Completed in 2014, the campground features 50 campsites and 6 vehicle sites, all managed by the American Alpine Club and the Mohonk Preserve. This development marks a significant milestone for one of the country’s most beloved rock-climbing destinations, which has been attracting climbers for over 80 years. In addition to its proximity to world-class climbing routes, the campground is surrounded by stunning natural features, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and exploring nearby swimming holes.
