Great quiet location, Wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen.

Makers Acres is our home, our pottery studio named, Maine Prairie Studio, the Lakeside Campground, The Wedge and our camper, Andromeda. Don't worry, you won't be driving in it!
We are offering the opportunity to stay on the back hill of our ten-acre rural property. You can go for walks around the pasture on our mowed trail or just sit and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota views.
The site is on a gravel road and you cannot see our house from where the bus is parked. While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing.
The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want).
There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

Set on 36 acres we have a campsite back away from the house so you can have your own private area to camp! We have several maintained trails for walking or biking. Two small ponds on the property, one of which usually has turtles and the other brings in ducks, geese, deer and other wildlife. Eagles and cranes are often seen flying overhead. We do have a few hobby farm animals on the property that would love a visit from you if you request it for your stay. We are now offering our out house to our guests if needed, shown in the picture gallery. The outhouse is located closer to the resident's property, and you will have to go into our gated duck area to get to it. Milaca is about 10 miles away with great parks, biking trails, splash pad, Rum River and Frisbee golf. Foley is about 7 miles away and has a great family pool for summertime and nice parks. We are also about 25 minutes from St. Cloud if you want to venture further!

It was the first weekend in April so it was cold and snowy. The campsites are well situated so they drain well. The beautiful trees, even without their leaves protected us from the wind. Two cats were running around and mostly kept their distance, we did find paw prints on my daughter’s air mattress when she woke up, she loved it.
We enjoyed the Pygmy goats, regular goats, and loved the wooly pig. We enjoyed time hiking through the woods and flying kites next to the corn field. The bathroom is in the basement
of the house with its own entrance and complete privacy. It was great. Travis met us when we arrived and showed us the property. He asked
Us what we needed and made sure we were taken care of. He was reachable if we needed anything, and gave us complete privacy. We bought a dozen eggs, and they were fantastic. My daughters were blown away by how good fresh eggs are. The whole atmosphere of a farm with old equipment and buildings was great. Property is very well kept. There are tons of open places to stand and enjoy the beautiful stars and no lights. We are planning on going back again.

We enjoyed our stay so much! This is a lovely, quiet spot. Easy to find, but no highway noise. Check in was straightforward with great communication from the hosts. You can see the other sites, but they are comfortably separated. Beautiful sunset view from under the giant old oak tree shading our little camper. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to stay and would definitely recommend.

Great little spot for a solo getaway just my dog and I. Love the proximity to Sherburne Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. Enjoyed various hikes there and the nature drive twice. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed the shelter as there were intermittent showers. The porch overhang is nice to enjoy a quiet rain while staying dry. Loved having the mini fridge and microwave too. Just enough creature comforts yet simple and relaxed. Thanks for sharing your space Troy! Hope to be back next spring or fall!
