Homesteaded more than 100 years ago this farm is somewhat stuck in time. Once this was a prosperous dairy operation. Location location location, this place is my slice of heaven on earth. Located in the corner of 4 townships on an extremely quiet road. Our farm now raises grass fed beef and wooly pigs pastured along driveway along with the usual cast of a farm, dogs, cats, chickens, guineas and goats

Our bus was recently reviewed by Regular Car Reviews https://youtu.be/3641ixc3FkQ?si=_FVBOYz8TAEi_TFg Don't worry, you won't be driving in it! We are offering the opportunity to stay on the back hill of our ten-acre rural property. You can go for walks around the pasture on our mowed trail or just sit and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota views. The site is on a gravel road and you cannot see our house from where the bus is parked. While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing. The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want). There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

Spanning 1,743 acres, the tribal land is home to approximately 145 families, contributing to a total tribal population of 982 that resides within a 10-mile service area and beyond. The name "Lower Sioux" was assigned to our band and homeland following treaties with the United States in 1851. However, we are proud members of the Mdewakanton Band of Dakota, a name that translates to "friend" or "ally" in our language. Our ancestral homeland, known as Cansa’yapi, is where our people historically marked trees with red, signifying our deep connection to the land. At the heart of the Lower Sioux Community is a profound pride in our history and culture, which shapes our identity and community initiatives. Currently, there are nearly 930 enrolled members, with more than half residing on tribal lands.
