Our goal to provide a peaceful, quiet ambiance for all our guests and so we don’t allow loud music and we require adherence of our quiet hours from 10pm to 10 am. If you’re using a generator, please run it during the day until 10pm, so that it’s not running all through the night.

Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented.
Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge.
Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away.
Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac)
Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from.

Hello, and welcome to Superior Times Resort and Campground!
We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves. Our names are Tom and Heather Holmstrom. We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times Resort and Campground was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and show them there is more out there than the traditional path. We also wanted showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula; the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.”
In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history.
Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work!
Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to be part of the memories that you create here. We know that you work hard for your own money, as we do. Knowing that you chose our resort to support, means a lot to our Superior Times and Resort family team. We truly appreciate your loyalty and give special thanks to our returning customers. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids.
Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special.
About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River.
All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table.
We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water.
A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink.
You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee).
We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you.
Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home.
If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited!
Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Kayak and Canoe Rentals are also available on sight, best to reserve in advance. Hiking trails nearby offer a great way to explore the Allegan Forest or the lakeshore sand dunes. We are 7 miles east of Saugatuck and 5 miles north of Fennville, our site makes a perfect escape from the nearby lakeshore shopping and dining district while keeping you in close proximity to local wineries and other attractions. There's also a shower available in the house.The best time to visit Michigan forests is in October when the leaves turn color and the nights are cool. Weekend Trip to Dreamland Of MI
I loved glamping at Paige's property!! Her little homestead and woods are absolutely magical, while still being close to the charming towns of Montague and Whitehall. Beautiful gardens and chickens made the experience extra special!!
Everything was perfect for our stay - the tent was set up and very cozy as soon as we arrived. The guest area bathroom and sitting area is very comfortable and clean. Paige was very responsive and her instructions for getting to the property were very clear. It was pretty chilly when we stayed, and she offered us a space heater and extra blankets which was great. We were very warm all night!!
Paige (and family) was an excellent host!! I'd 100% recommend to stay here if you're looking for a camping experience without needing tons of gear.

Weekend Trip to Dalton Traders Tents RV's Cabins
Ed was very welcoming, thoughtful and communicative. He greeted us upon arrival and gave a quick run down of the cabin/land. He even had a fire already started in the cabin as it was a bit chilly.
The grand cabin was so cute and cozy. The bed was comfy and the portapotty was clean. There was no one else there when we were there so it was really private. A lovely place to unplug and unwind in nature.
There is plenty of clean water and firewood. There were also a few spices, tea, hot chocolate and instant coffee. There is a pan and grate for outdoor cooking but I suggest bringing a pot, utensils and cooking tools!

Everything was perfect! From the friendliness of the family, tp the sounds of the farm and nature around us.... one of the best places I have stayed outside of the Forest!
The family did a excellent job giving a tour of the place and making us feel welcome. I got a tour and layout of the tree house and they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for the night including water, dishes and a propane stove.
Frogs were active all night which made it easy to sleep to. My grands were not wanting to venture to the top of the fort so we made due bit had a blast! Already looking to get back out for a longer trip once weather warms up more.

Everything was perfect! I stayed at the grand cabin with my grandkids. ED and Coco gave us a tour of the property and told us how and why the cabin was built which was very heart felt.
There was a nice pond, playground, trails and the out house was clean and decorated.
I loved the fire pit, loft space and the photos and art in the cabin.
I am hoping to get out again soon!

Everything about my trip was perfect. First off thank you to Ed who is an amazing person. He goes above and beyond to make sure you're set up and his hospitality was top notch. The Grand Cabin was a beautiful place to relax and recharge for a few chilly nights. The woodburnng stove really added to the charm and kept the cabin beyond cozy on 20 degree nights. The grounds were beautifully kept and secluded. The porta potty was meticulously clean and well stocked. There was plenty of firewood and kindling to keep the stove and campfire going. The cabin also had a lot of amenities and way beyond the basic offering. If you're looking for a place to unplug and recharge for a few nights I highly recommend you book a few night here.

Had a great overnight stay here with my partner and dog. Ed was extremely helpful and communicative. Upon arrival, he greeted us and gave us a walkthrough of the cabin and property and had plenty of recommendations and firewood available. The Grand Cabin was cozy and stayed warm through a chilly night. We really enjoyed our stay.
Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon for a longer stay.

Dalton Traders is an ideal place for a peaceful getaway. I truly enjoyed the time spent there, and plan to be back often in the future. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat, solo or a couple, this is the place. Ed was extremely kind and communicative. Even had cabin heated!
Te cabin itself was perfect and had all you need. Wood stove warmed the cabin well. The trails on the property were great, even got to see some deer. All around Dalton Traders is amazing. Looking forward to spending more time there in the future.

Cabin had everything we needed. It was clean, cozy and peaceful. Long hike in the morning and relaxing by the woodstove with a good book in the afternoon. Great way to unplug and revive. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be back next year.

Weekend Trip to Dalton Traders Tents RV's Cabins
This is my boyfriend's and I'd second time staying at Ed's Hipcamp - this time in the winter for Valentine's Day! Once again, we both cannot recommend this Hipcamp ENOUGH! Thankfully, the driveway heading back to our "parking spot" for the weekend was perfectly plowed for us by Ed, so we had no issues whatsoever! Due to us having front wheel drive on our car and there being lots of snow the weekend we came up, Ed provided us with sleds to hike in our belongings a short amount, back to the cabin. The small wood stove kept us nice and cozy all weekend long and we had zero problems staying warm. Ed even provided us with snowshoes to borrow the entire weekend we were there to use around his beautiful property - which was such a fun opportunity!
If you enjoy being locked away for the weekend in a delightful setting and putting your wood-fire stove skills to the test, then I promise you - you cannot go wrong staying at Dalton Traders Lil' Cabin! Thanks again Ed for such a wonderful weekend away - we are sure to be back (again) soon!

We loved staying in the cozy cabin in the woods! Quiet spot to rest and get off the grid for a few days. The cabin is full of amenities that are not usually provided, for example sleeping pads, potable water, camp stove. Clean spot and the hosts are gracious.

The Lil Cabin was so cute and cozy! I was there during a winter storm, 8" of snow overnight, and the cabin stayed 60°and dry the whole time! It was extremely well stocked with wood for the wood stove and Ed plowed the path leading to it before I even woke up both days so I wouldn't be stuck. My dog and I had a great time exploring the trails on the property and at the state park a few miles away
