The well equipped, easy to get to campsite boasts, running water, electric, hot tub, shower house, screen house, picnic table, hammock and horseshoe pits. The essentials are at the site (cooler, camp stove, pots, utensils, lanterns, coffee pot, firewood and more). Interesting trails right outside your door. We added an outdoor hot tub to the site as well as a shower house. Bring your swimsuit! The shower house has a private side for the portable loo as well as a shower side with running water. You may not want to leave, but Onteora Lake in the Bluestone Wild Forest is great for hiking, swimming and boating. Our campsite is located only 5 minutes from Ashokan Reservoir where you can fish and boat. Bring your own camping gear or rent ours, the adventures are endless! This lovingly created off-grid oasis was built by hand (and machine) over the course of eleven years of dutiful stewardship. We certainly hope you will enjoy this peaceful, remote experience as much as we do. Set back from the road over a thousand feet, fully accessible by car with solar-powered Wi-Fi, a wood-fired hot tub, and a perennial herb garden. Take some time to unwind and connect with loved ones in this unique woodland landscape. The 600 square foot open-layout cabin features a queen-sized Murphy bed and additional sleeping mats for kids or wayward adults. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4-6 people, with additional tents available on-site for camping. Amenities include a fridge, stove, and Wi-Fi, all powered by propane and solar energy. A Tesla car charger is available upon request, along with 60 gallons of running hot water, re-fillable upon request. Indoor facilities include a shower, tub, and composting toilet, with an outdoor shower and porta-potty also provided. A neighbor is available to greet you on-site and offer a quick walk-through of the space and utilities upon request. Please be mindful of ticks and conduct a thorough check after any trail walking.
