We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

Acadia National Park, Blue Hill Mountain, Schoodic Mountain, and Beech Mountain are nearby and all part of this panoramic view. There is nearby hiking, fishing, or just explore the many local shops, antique vendors, and restaurants, downtown Ellsworth - Bar Harbor is approximately only 20 miles away.

This beautiful cabin nestled right along the Pennamaquan River has 3 bedrooms all equipped with full sized beds, one full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. We provide the linens for the beds but ask that you provide your own towels. The kitchen has only a mini fridge and no freezer access. The house is located 1/2 a mile up the road from our Farmstore (12 Little Falls Road) and is about 2 miles down the road from a local swimming hole.

Sunrise Shores Hideaway

We have an inviting, cozy 2-bedroom cottage on Flanders Pond. The sunrises are fabulous, there is a private dock with kayak and canoe in the summer, hammock hanging between the shade trees, firepit for evenings outside and lots of stargazing to do! Unplug, recharge, and get away from all the hustle & bustle. We do have a TV for the occasional rainy-day movie, with 2 comfy recliners in the loft. The living room, however, has a fabulous view, not only of the sunrises but sunsets across the pond on the other shore. Grab a glass of wine, sit on the couch and watch the sky change right before your eyes. Approximately 45 minutes from Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor or 35 minutes from Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point. Spend the day exploring Ellsworth, Bar Harbor or Downeast, hiking one of the many trails or mountains we have nearby, or hang out here swimming, paddling, fishing or napping. Regardless of what you do during the day you will find Sunrise Shores Hideaway very restful, calm and welcoming when you return. With a full kitchen to cook some delicious Maine food and a spa-like bathroom to soak in the tub or shower before you head to bed, you will be well rested and ready for the next adventure. The downstairs bedroom has black out shades and a closet to hang your clothes. The upstairs bedroom has dresser for your clothes, a skylight for stargazing as you drift off to sleep and eye masks if the moon is too bright or you want to sleep past sunrise. I guarantee you will want to be up having a cup of coffee on the deck watching the show the sunrise puts on. We have a designated workspace for those who must bring work with them, and Wi-Fi to get connected. Our land is great for those who travel with their dogs, we have a pet bed and if your fur baby is well mannered and friendly, being off leash is fine.

I can’t say enough great things about this spot! My dog and I stayed for two and a half months and easily could have stayed twice as long. -The location is perfect — tucked in a residential area that offers plenty of privacy and peace, yet surrounded by friendly neighbors so it never feels isolated. You’re close to everything: most Acadia trails on Mount Desert Island are within a 25-minute drive, with many even closer (10-15 minutes). Bar Harbor is just 10 minutes away, offering great restaurants, shops, boat tours, and more. -The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable — I work remotely full-time from my rig and never had a single issue, even with constant Zoom and Teams video meetings. -Scott, the host, is fantastic — friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming, with excellent local recommendations. -It’s also a dog-friendly spot. There’s plenty of grassy space for short walks, and the lawn was mowed weekly, which I really appreciated. -The full hookups were in excellent condition and worked perfectly. There’s even a garden hose attached to the water line for convenience. -Parking was a breeze — the site is spacious and easy to maneuver into no matter the size of your rig. I live in a 30-foot Airstream and had no trouble backing in at all. Overall, this was one of my favorite stays — private, convenient, well-maintained, and hosted by someone who truly cares. Highly recommend!

This was my second stay at the Biker’s Bunkhouse, and it was just as awesome as the first. I spent three nights in the cozy barn tucked close to the wolves, and it was incredible drifting off to the sound of their howls at night. Heather is an attentive host who makes sure you have everything you need. I slept great, felt completely relaxed, and can’t wait to come back.

Quarrys Ledge was wonderful ! From the hospitable staff to the beautiful grounds, we had a great stay! The bathrooms were definitely note worthy as well, always clean and stocked. We stayed in a waterfront site which was definitely worth the extra money in my opinion. However, even the other campsites looked great. I also love that they gave an option to add firewood to the reservation - saved us a trip to the store! I highly recommend and would come back again!

This campground was the perfect place for us "home" during our fall visit to Acadia. We are a self-contained unit when we are on the road. That being said, it was nice to hook upto power and refill our water tank during our stay. It was also nice to have hot showers available. The campground was quiet at night. I slept well at night. The site was very close to all of the hikes on MDI. Some just down the road, trailheads no more than a 30 minute drive away. The site firm ground and fairly level. Perfect for our campervan. Being on the westside of MDI, it is away from the constant traffic that you face near Bar Harbor. We would recommend staying here.

Very scenic sites. Close to Acadia. LShowers and bathrooms were extremely clean and appeared brand new. Sites are close together. Our first night was not full so we had plenty of privacy. The second night we had fellow campers in very close proximity. Not a deal breaker, but something to know. The bathrooms, showers and location are hard to beat.
