The Point

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents8 acres · Gouldsboro, ME
The Point is located in Gouldsboro, in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula near the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park on occupied Wabanaki land. The point is our home, offered to guests as a place for seekers of peace and solace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. A priority here for me is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save and protect our natural environment and keep it natural and wild can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of you. We aim to prove that hipcamp can be a magical experience for private landowners and campers alike, to provide a means of temporal community and beneficial alternative to traditional campgrounds; one that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain. Please be mindful of the trash you generate and mindful of the noise you are making— we aim to provide seekers of peace a *quiet* time in nature. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world. Thanks for caring to come, see, explore, learn and being apart of the solution! <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Blueberry Land Tent Platforms

11 sites · RVs, Tents12 acres · Eastport, ME
We have four raised platforms, accessible by car, each with a canvas-covered A-frame, and each with a canvas/sawdust queen size futon bed in it. Each platform is nested in their own private setting around the edges of our 12-acre organic blueberry barren. Three of the platforms are fully screened-in, with stylish canvas-covered timberframes and circular red doors. One is fully covered but does not have screens. Blueberry Land is part of Smithereen Farm. Surrounded by woodlands, the barrens is on Youngs Cove Road, near Reversing Falls. This is an off grid, rustic site with only a port-a-potty. If you need to use any other amenities, you are welcome to use the WIFI, fill your water bottles, charge your electric vehicle and buy supplies at the Smithereen Farm Store (12 Little Falls Road, Pembroke). That's also where you can jump into the Pennamaquan River to cool off after exploring the town by bike. Note: there is no potable water at the site, you will need to bring a vessel and fill up in town. There are beautiful walking, biking and canoeing opportunities in every direction—check out Cobscook Shores, Downeast Coastal Conservancy trail by Reversing falls, Maine Coast Heritage trails on the bold coast and at Sipps Bay. Blueberry bushes are low, native, fruit-growing, covered in flowers in spring and then berries in summer, turning bright bright red in the fall when kissed by frost. Our blueberries are certified organic by MOFGA and surrounded by birch, fir, spruce and flowering perennial beds to improve insect habitat. We ask that you NOT DRIVE ON THE BERRIES! Park in the parking lot, three sites are immediately visible, the fourth site is a further drive down the road, past the port o potty, in the back field to the left. Low hung vehicles beware, if in doubt park in parking lot. Upon booking, we will send you a PDF welcome packet filled with helpful information about the farm, local sites to see, and a comprehensive list of our recommendations. Remember to prepare for MOSQUITOES in summer! We really recommend you approach Washington County as an opportunity to picnic, so bring a pocketknife, a frying pan, a big cooler for butter and milk, a big water jug, a thermos, a camp stove/kettle, warm socks, and a sense of adventure! We wish you a pleasant stay all the way DOWNEAST!

Eagle View Coastal Campground

Sunflower Ranch Camping

1 site · Lodging4 acres · Ellsworth, ME
Sunflower Ranch is the name of our home and property. Not only is our cozy, modest house sunflower yellow but in August it is surrounded with sunflowers of all sizes. We share our property with a flock of sweet hens and ducks.....and a few bossy roosters. Eggs are available for purchase if needed. There is a little greenhouse with herbs, greens and strawberries. The field is also an apple orchard that mostly feeds the wildlife. The tent site is privately placed in our cove unseen from the house. We wanted to offer a site that we would enjoy as well and feels like it is in a world of its own. We spend all of our free time outside, camping and paddling the local rivers and lakes. Tommy and I can recommend many beautiful remote Maine adventures for you to experience that are located off the grid and away from all other humans. The sweet city of Ellsworth is only 7 miles away for all of your provisions and Otis General Store is 1 mile away.. they have everything to get you through plus beer, wine, ice and homemade pizza. We can give you a pass to visit the Beech Hill Pond Beach also only 1 mile away (I walk there all the time) which has clear water and a sandy bottom. Great spot to spend the day sunbathing and swimming. I can offer yoga, personal training, boxing and paddleboard lessons or SUP yoga for some onsite physical fitness fun upon request. Learn more about this land: 16 by 12 ft A-Frame on a platform overlooking our private cove on Graham Lake.  Walk through the forest trail to the Beech Hill Pond Stream and find a private little swim spot under a mini waterfall . Karen’s Campsite - Boyden Lake

2 sites · Lodging, RVs1 acre · Calais, ME
My great-grandfather had a camp on Boyden’s Lake. My Mom has spent summers at Boyden’s Lake since she was six years old. I grew up spending summers at Boyden’s Lake in the same camp my parents still own. As an adult, I bought a camp on the same lane as my parents’ camp. We call my camp “Karen’s Cabin” to differentiate between the two camps. I have been renting my cabin by the week in the summer. I also own the vacant lot next to my cabin lot. I would like to rent my vacant lot to people with RV’s. A friend of mine suggested that I rent it because more people are traveling in RV’s these days. It is a nice spot, a gravel lot near Boyden’s Lake with beach access. I am posting this on August 10th, 2021. It is available immediately. If all goes well and I rent the lot this year, hopefully, I can get feedback on amenities to add next year. Visit Boyden’s Lake, I hope you like it as much as my family does.
