Weekend Trip to Trace Space KY

We really can’t say enough good things about this space and the host. The space is incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The birdwatching is amazing. And the garden was beautiful. My wife spent the weekend identifying and researching all of the plants in the garden. We were visited each day by a variety of birds including (but not limited to) Red Headed Woodpeckers, Orchard Orioles, Brown Thrashers, Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, and many others. MJ was incredibly friendly and accommodating, answering any question we had very quickly. She is simply the most thoughtful and kind host. We highly recommend staying here.

My friends and I tent camped and we all loved the area, All of the animals we interacted with we're very nice. Lexington has a lot of nice restaurants and attractions. Keven is an incredible host and interacted with us a few times, he was very funny and kind. I'd very much recommend this site.

My family loved camping in this laid-back quiet farm. The host Keven was excellent. Great communicator and wonderful company. He showed us around, helped us pick a spot, and even offered to help set up. He had work to do in another location on the farm (flood damage) but checked in us ever so often to make sure we were good. The kids loved the animals that run freely through this beautiful fielded property off the river. We petted horses, min horses, donkeys, and goats. There were chickens and ducks too closer to the outhouse. This farm is located down a road across from the wild turkey distillery. It’s protected by an electric fence that Keven ensures you are familiar with during the first meeting. This was weeks ago and my kids still talk about this camping trip. Thanks, Keven!

3 nights at Ohio River Private Paradise

What an honor it was to stay here on Hollys Ohio River Paradise Pavilion! This place is gorgeous & pictures simply don't do it justice! The Pavilion itself gave an extra cozy feel for an easy camp kitchen set up & area to hang out & stay dry when the weather just isn't cooperating. There was more than plenty of room to set up our tent, & even with a cabin just a short distance away & within site there was plenty of trees and natural cover to tuck away & not be seen if you want a more private feel (we had the property all to ourselves so that didn't matter much to us). There is a nice and clean outhouse to use as well! The campsite is just a short walk from the river with beautiful views of the river from the campsite area itself. The fire ring was large & could hold a good size fire that several people could sit around. It was just 2 of us & it was quiet & secluded but the area is large enough that it would be an amazing group camp site. We enjoyed watching the barges & there is a train but we maybe only heard it 3-5 times the whole weekened. If your going for the fishing come prepared because it's a harder area to fish unless your experienced. Luckily we had everything we needed & caught a couple blue cats & striped bass. We also enjoyed a variety of birds & listening to the owls at night. So you may ask, beautiful place with a view, fishing, wild life, and privacy. How could it be better. The answer is Holly. She is kind, helpful, responsive, and makes you feel at home!

I really enjoyed spending time with the mules and donkeys — they were incredibly social and gentle. The peaceful, secluded location was just a stone’s throw from some excellent river fishing, which made it even better. Keven was a fantastic host and went out of his way to help us multiple times. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

Loved the land it was sandy beach area with amazing view of ky river. Couple of creeks to kayak an one to even hike. My brother and my dad floated down river to the boat ramp an walked back. Owner was friendly and gave you your space even with it being on their land. They have multiple animals which we love. The only thing Is if you have a nice car I would park outside the fence to keep it safe from the Animals. We had amazing time an we definitely plan to go back. Owners were great!

Ohio River Private Paradise

Enjoy our private paradise with over 800 feet of riverfront on 17 acres along the banks of the beautiful Ohio River. We have a great landing for fishing, swimming, or kayaking. The sunsets are fantastic and the night sky incredible! Behold the barges passing by on the river as you unwind and relax in the peacefulness of nature! This is a primitive camp with three sites available for you to consider. We are dog friendly and allow all supervised, friendly dogs to be off leash. Some things to know: We will provide a key code close to your arrival time so you can enter the gate by the road. If you are coming by river, we will put a flag on our landing. You can drive your vehicle right down to the sites. The farm is flat and easily navigated as long as it is dry. There will be a 5 gallon cooler of potable water for you to use. More water is available if we are at the property. We have 2 outhouses located on either end of the property. This is a primitive camp. Please pack out all your trash and leave no trace. 2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets are available for an additional fee, but we need ample notice. Firewood is plentiful by the river in the form of driftwood. We have some wood under a black tarp by the pavilion fire pit available for an additional fee. We have one neighbor who can make some noise with ORVs especially on weekends. Activities in the area include: 4 nature preserves The Conservancy properties Adams Lake State Park Lynx Prairie Serpent Mound Cedar Falls Moondoggie Livery Shawnee State Park Shawnee State Forest with over 60,000 acres and 8.000 acres of wilderness. Learn more about this land: We are a 33 acre farm in the middle of Horse Farm country, surrounded by horse farms. We have a home built in 1796 on the property.
