5 nights at Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We loved staying at Sherri and Robert's site. It is so convenient to historic St. Augustine and the beach. The pad is level, and the site has full hookups (30 amp). The hosts are friendly and helpful. They even loaned us camp chairs as we forgot to pack ours. We will definitely return when we visit St. Augustine.

Robert and Sherri are awesome hosts. They made us feel at home and their place is so cute and well taken care of. Saw lots of birds and some turtles in the pond. The back yard is very serene and quiet. The camping neighbors in site 2 were real nice too. The pad is a driveway, but the way they have it set up, with hedges and a nice paver patio, you don’t feel like you’re in a front yard.

Staying at Robert & Sherri's quaint and quiet space for a week was just what I needed to feel some respite and renewal. I was at pad #2, which had access to a lovely patio set and a couple of chairs in a grassy area for relaxation. Having hook-ups for water, electric, and wastewater was such a convenience. I had the opportunity to ride my bicycle to the beach, which was incredibly fun. It was a very simple and safe route down well-maintained sidewalks with beautiful scenery. They recommended that I visit the local farmer's market at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, which I also did by bicycle on very safe sidewalks and one manageable crossing. I was able to buy some fresh vegetables and fruit as well as enjoy a really nice breakfast from a couple of food vendors. Listening to the stylings of some local musicians playing at the market was a bonus. In the afternoons, I enjoyed sitting on the lounge chair by the lake in their backyard watching turtles poking their heads above water and local birds fishing. I truly appreciate the privacy that I was provided by Robert and Sherri. They were so friendly and truly respected my Skoolie as my home. They did invite me to have tea and snacks with them. It was wonderful to talk story and get to know them. They are incredibly kind people and have created a little oasis by the beach in a safe and quiet neighborhood. *There is a KOA literally a street over...so glad I came across their place.

It was away from city yet close to main stores. The host was great and explained the farm. The kids even saw an armadillo running around.

This place was exactly what I needed! First time solo camping and felt completely safe and comfortable. This was such a great place to unwind and relax! I camped lakefront on this beautiful lake, which offered peaceful kayaking and wildlife. The camping area was clean, well maintained, and exactly as advertised. I plan to return again soon! No complaints at all!

Kenny’s land was perfect. He was extremely responsive which was awesome because I was tired on the road and booked a late night, last minute reservation. He even lent me the correct adaptor to hookup my camper. His dogs were really cool and super sweet. They stayed over on their side of the property which didn’t interfere at all with me walking my dog on the other side of the property. The lake was beautiful to wake up to! We will definitely be back :)

This was a great place to spend a couple days...more if you're not passing thru like we were. A nice private patio next to the spot gave us enough space to put up our 2' tall fence for the pups. Robert and Sherri were very accommodating, and he provided us with pamphlets about things to do and places to eat in the area. We could not have asked for a better St. Aug area stay! Spot is level and easy to get into and out of. Will ask to stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

There aren't words enough to explain the amazing vibe of this place.....just book a site. We recommend the Tikka masala add on. Beautifully done 4 course meal, fine dinning meal in a laid back casual setting with one of a kind hosts! Kudos Christina and Kennedy can't wait to return for a 3 retreat!

Great location that gives a nice sense of privacy. Well maintained. We walked to the beach daily, took our pup on a neighborhood stroll and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. While we did t get to meet Sherri, Robert was very friendly.

It was lovely! Near downtown st augustine which was perfect for us, loved that our dog was allowed off leash as he stays close anyway, got to feed the horses in the morning - shower was hot and felt safe and had enough privacy!

Karin and Phil were exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The space was lovely and I enjoyed the hot tub. They had such comforts like an on-demand hot water shower, a clean restroom, a screened structure with outdoor furniture, a nice grill and more. The hosts are experienced campers and hikers and know what their guests need to be comfortable. Thank you both!

Depending on the location of your camp site we may have 120V electric available, consult with us on this prior to booking. Please bring your 4x4 or own tents if you will be riverfront camping because it’s a steep slope to access this location. We also have a separate acre lot on the edge of a huge forest if you want to go hunting. This is only an 8 minute drive from our property. For cooking we provide options including a charcoal grill, gas grill, charcoal pizza oven and a portable fire ring. We have free fire wood available but you will need a hatchet or some other way to cut it. We do not provide propane or charcoal. Guests are welcome to go fishing here so bring your rods and tackle. Lakefront property is located in between Hawthorne and Interlachen out in the wooded countryside (decidedly rural) on a dead-end road as it turns to dirt -- usually very peaceful and quiet. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20. BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Our two level (full hookup) RV pads are on beautiful Anastasia Island within walking distance to the Atlantic ocean, Pier Court Park and the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Anastasia State Park is within a mile. St. Augustine is just over the Bridge of Lions three miles away. Our pad are very private behind an 11' privacy fence. Each has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as an historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is there along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes 32' and under, Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street. OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND. We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 3 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 12 total guests. We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins. We offer our exclusive Magic M Meditations, Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Moxibustion, Kundalini, Tantra, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals. Use of a private vehicle is required. The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River. This location offers abundant wildlife refuge. This can be exciting, but dangerous. Please do not feed or approach the wildlife. You may see alligators, snakes, otters, manatees, as well as several species of fish and birds, including, but not limited to, american bald eagles, egret, heron, seagulls, bass, mullet, crappie, bluegill and more. Please simply use caution and do not attempt to disturb the animals or their environment.
