3 nights at Tiny House + Marina near springs!

Very nice tiny home on the water, loved the sunset and abundant wildlife, gators, turtles, cranes, even saw a momma otter and her two babies. Boat ramp is decent, should be deep enough for boats up to 20ft but it was very shallow in most parts. Just stick to the marked areas. Will definitely be back, great place to unwind and far from the more crowded areas.

Great spot! Level, spacious, excellent Wifi. I plugged in for the night. Hosts were friendly and gracious. I'd come back!

Weekend Trip to Destination Sunset

Destination Sunset was the nicest Hip Camp we've visited. The grounds are beautiful with towering trees dripping with Spanish Moss. Watching the water was so peaceful and we saw dolphins and a flock of flamingos flew over our heads. Our pup.wqs in heaven with the ability to run free and swim. Tim was friendly and communication was great. Highly recommend!!

2 nights at Twin Cedars

Well shaded, quiet and relaxing. Lots of areas to relax, hammock, outdoor furniture, bug screen gazebo. The outdoor shower has lots of hot water, the Porta potty was clean and well maintained. Kitchen area is more than adequate plus there is a really nice barbecue. There are some free roaming cats around but they seem to stay away from humans, the next yard has chickens but they were all quiet. There is some of the biggest geckos there. I am sure I'll go back.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Freedom at Earthperks Farm

What a treasure to find! The #2 tent spot is secluded enough for complete privacy, but close enough to the main house that I felt safe, camping alone as a woman. All the ammenities are there, water and standard 120v electric at the site, picnic table, fire pit and well-maintained grounds. It's approx. a 25 min drive to the Speedway and downtown. This is now where I will stay every tine I visit Daytona. I attended Jeep week. When I arrived, I knew my initial accomodations weren't going to work for me, I needed a quiet spot to wind down at night. I reached out and Mindy responded right away, answered all of my questions and I was booked within 20 mins. She even sent me a detailed map and instructions on how to find my spot, the showers and the kitchen. As an Airbnb host of several units myself, my expectations can be high. This is a hidden gem so near to downtown.

I liked the camping site it was quiet and peaceful the check in easy. The person incharge was nice and polite. The only thing is they need to work on the heart shaped pool thing to make it a lot cleaner other than that it was good.

Weekend Trip to Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We chose Sherri and Robert mid afternoon (last minute) after being unable to secure a walk in site at the Anastasio State Park. They were very accommodating, and the camping spot in front of their home worked out perfectly for our 24’ Winnebago View with a rear and side slide. The WiFi connection was superb, and of course there was ample power and water. The neighborhood was quiet and provided a nice, safe place to walk our dog. This was our first Hipcamp experience and we would certainly stay here again.

1 night at Camp Seminole Springs

We were so excited to get to this camp! It was amazing! Tent was so fun! The kids loved it! The spring was cool, there was grass at the bottom and the kids were screaming because it was touching them it was so funny! The mud bath spot was amazing! It was our favorite!

2 nights at Wooded areas in a horse pasture

Gayle has a beautiful property with a pasture being used just for campers. There are firepits scattered around the large area. She welcomes guests to see the horses, chickens, cats and dogs, which roam the property. I would certainly bring earplugs, especially if you're in a tent as a loud train goes by a couple of times in the night. There is only one outhouse for all guests, which may not be enough if it gets busy. Expect rustic, but pretty with nice vibes.

1 night at Camp Seminole Springs

Former Girl Scout property, so it’s ideal camping property. The spring swimming hole is clean, beautiful and not as cold as most. Property has a rich history and the owner is very willing to share his knowledge with passionate detail. Under his ownership, this land has a bright future of enhancements while preserving its charm. Check out the est. 500 year old Live Oak near property entrance and the working grist mill at the spring head that doubles as a nice studio cabin with hot tub. Wonderful and relaxing stay.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

Very chilled and easy experience staying at Runaway Bay Lodge. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Bed very large and comfortable. Nice shower. Lovely watching the sunset over the lake with a nice wood fire going.

5 nights at Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We loved staying at Sherri and Robert's site. It is so convenient to historic St. Augustine and the beach. The pad is level, and the site has full hookups (30 amp). The hosts are friendly and helpful. They even loaned us camp chairs as we forgot to pack ours. We will definitely return when we visit St. Augustine.

3 nights at Waterfront Island Bungalow

What a piece of 'old Florida' paradise! The cabin was absolutely perfect for a quiet, unplugged weekend. Highly recommended!!! The cabin has everything you need to make modest meals and the beds are comfy. We especially enjoyed the sweet cat, fireflies at night, reading on the dock, and watching the ducks bathe. We are definitely going to be back! Side note - the dock was pretty shallow when we were there (water is low in general right now), so I would check with Christina about your boat draft before booking with your own boat.

The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length.
