Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water).
We have two primitive campsites these campsites are first come first serve, they are not assigned when booking. Plesea see pictures.
Our Glamper tent is a 10x12 canvas furnished full size bed with bedding, pillows and enough floor space for two sleeping bags.
The tens are located off a short trial, but rugged 2-minute hike from the parking area. We provide the opportunity to go camping without having to pack the tent.
Closed toed shoes are highly suggested as well as plenty of lighting with batteries or solar charging capability. This is a rugged, fun and serene camping experience.

Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street.
OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.
We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 4 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 18 total guests.
Not all campsites have water views, from the units, but none are more than 30 feet to the water…
We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.

Runaway Bay Lodge - a place where Love and Magic Happen
After the 4 mile trip through The Lake George State Forest, you will pass two small RV campgrounds of Pine Island.
Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street.
OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.
We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 4 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 18 total guests.
Not all campsites have water views, from the units, but none are more than 30 feet to the water…
We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.
We offer our exclusive holistic services and Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals.
Use of a private vehicle is required.
The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River.
This location offers abundant wildlife refuge.
This can be exciting, but dangerous.
Please do not feed or approach the wildlife.
You may see alligators, snakes, otters, manatees, as well as several species of fish and birds, including, but not limited to, american bald eagles, egret, heron, seagulls, bass, mullet, crappie, bluegill and more.
Please simply use caution and do not attempt to disturb the animals or their environment.

The land is perfect for country cottage vibes.
Collecting fresh eggs from the Hens every morning was a bonus. The cottage my husband and I rented was adorable, quaint, immaculate, had All kinds of appliances fully equipped and decorated kitchen necessities, toiletries, nick nacks, firewood and the s’mores kit was awesome! I especially enjoyed the birthday welcome note /card and tokens for our stay! Cassandra and Walt came by to greet us for our stay and we’re wonderful hosts. We plan on renting each unit until we make it around the property! What I enjoyed about our stay is it’s close to our home but far enough to feel like a hidden gem . We had a little glamping, camping and rustic tranquil vibes. The outdoor shower was so peaceful after going for a walk /run near the wood trails. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Absolutely fantastic hipcamp, this is was the exact reason why we love to hipcamp: connection, safety, and adventure. By far my favorite so far. The host was so lovely and immediately made this place feel safe and like home. From the thoughtful details like a tree swing and coffee station to the cozy cabin itself with a fire pit, we felt at home miles from our own. I will most definitely be back with my family and friends.

Staying here was our favorite part of the trip! Great location, great eggs, awesome to see the chickens and we LOVED Calcifer! The friendliest cat, he hung out with us the entire time and really helped with us missing our cat back home! We had some eggs in the morning that we picked and washed ourselves! This my second time staying here and will definitely not be my last. My wife, two teenage children and two dogs loved every minute of our stay. The weather didn't cooperate on Sunday, cold and rainy, but the campers were clean and warm and we spent hours just playing card. The hospitality from our hosts was outstanding, they even delivered dry wood after the rain. We will all definitely come back.

Grilled steaks, enjoyed 2 evenings by the campfire.
Archery hunted Boggy Hollow for 2 days and got to hunt in the snow.
We had everything we needed in the cabin and hope to be back soon!

The camper had absolutely everything we could need and more and Cassandra and her husband were so nice and attentive . I stayed in Glamper 1 and had a good experience! Very close to the water, very cool natural shower and water spout, it’s definitely a little bit of an elevated camping experience compared to the average tent. It was peaceful, I felt safe, and overall I had a good experience.

My favorite campsite I’ve ever had and I’ve been to quite a few. The price is so cheap for an absolute perfect getaway. Two people might have to squeeze in the bed or if you’re really tall it might be but I’m 6’1 and fit perfectly.
