My wife and I stayed on this very spot in January 2020 and fell in LOVE with it!  Being relative newbies to RVing, we wanted something private but also wanted a beach front vacation without spending 5K for a house.  So, we decided to start searching.  Turns out, there isn't a whole lot of RV hookup spots right on the beach.  But, we ran across this lovely privately owned gulf front lot on Cape San Blas in Florida and stayed for a week that January.  We loved it so much we tried to book it again in May of that year, but it was of course booked the entire month.  So, we booked another spot and headed to the cape in May anyway.  We wanted to see our favorite spot again, so we drove by one day and low and behold, it was for sale.  We couldn't pass up an opportunity to own something we fell in love with so quickly, so we took the jump, and bought it!  And now, we can share it with all of you.  Treat yourself to a beach front vacation in your own "home" and enjoy the journey friends.  You only live once!   GULF FRONT! Yes, you have your own path directly to the beach along with outdoor shower to rinse of your day on the sand and then enjoy the grill and picnic area for your afternoon dinner with your group. This 1/2 acre private property gulf front and equipped with 30/50 amp service, water, sewer, trash pickup, an outdoor patio, grill and misting outdoor shower. Just bring your swimming suits you'll be set. Cape San Blas, FL is one of the most beautiful and laid back places you will visit. This property is located on Cape San Blas and is right on the water (gulf side).  The cape bike path you can take all the way to the state park and explore the entire cape and all it has to offer (22 mile round trip bike path).  Also, check out kayaking in the bay or horse-back riding on the beach! Salinas Park is just a stone's throw where you can enjoy picnics with the family walk out to the bay or even drive onto the beach (permit required).   The sleepy little towns of Port St. Joe and Appalachicola have so many great local restaurants and shops and you will love the laid back chill of these old Florida towns. If you've never taken your crew and camped right on the beach, then this is the place for you. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

I am offering short-term rentals of my houseboat this season. It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move. It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back. You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river. My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not. This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required. This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

Really enjoyed this spot. We were passing through for a few days and needed to be in between friends that were located in PCB and apalachicola. It’s walking distance from public beach, great food/ Dollar General/Ace Hardware near by and very quiet at night. I mirror what others have said about unevenness of Pad and sewer hookups being a bit high. Probably only challenging for those of us with smaller travel trailers. Having two water supply hookups, 50,30,20 amp electrical hookups and this awesome shed with RV accessories extras, a washing machine, chairs, table, hoses, etc. makes up for any of the small site inconveniences. Can’t wait to stay here in the spring/summer so we can really enjoy the area. We recommend this spot and the host was great, instructions were great and communication was timely. Thanks for a great stay!

Leila’s spot was great. We loved that it was only a block from the beach. The shed storage and laundry machine was helpful- especially because of the humidity and moisture over night. It was hard to get clothing dry without a dryer. (We used a laundromat in town) The black tank hook up was not threaded to secure a connection but it still worked. Red tide was high while we were there. Overall it was a beautiful spot just steps away from a beautiful dog friendly beach. We loved the location and so did our pets. Would recommend!

Our family loved the proximity to the beach and to the Shipwreck Oyster Bar-walking distance to both. Having access to a washing machine was such a great bonus-saved us from having a bunch of dirty laundry to deal with when we got home from our trip. And having WiFi was great for our student that is enrolled in a summer class. Nice large site. Being a block off the main road and July 4th weekend, it was surprisingly quiet.

Corner paradise one block from the beach. Well maintained, concrete slab with full hook ups (30 & 50 Amp) plus WIFI (great for remote work). Short walk to the beach and a DG store. Make sure you visit the Ship Wreck restaurant, you wont be disappointed. Outdoor shower and washer are available. Easy access in and out. Motion sensor lights for convenience. Very nice location and will definitely stay there again.

My family and I loved this spot! My husband said we will probably be putting it on the list to visit every year. Recent got a conversion van and we let the kids tent camp. If you can live without amenities I highly recommend this place. We loved when people would honk as they drove by. Previous campers left glass bottles in the fire pit (lame) and burned wood with nails-we did pick up any nails/trash we found. The tide went down at night and we got to see wild hermit crabs, tiny shrimps, and crabs. Dolphins were in the bay during the day too. Lovely spot and cant wait to come back!

Personally we loved it! Short walk to the beach, to shipwreck and a bike ride to store. The site is pretty level but does require some manipulation. Theres 2 water spigots both located at the front of the camper (a 25ft hose should suffice but a 50 would get it done.) Power is located at the rear as well as the septic hook up. Make sure to bring septic hose support so you can fix the slight incline. Grass perfectly mowed, storage buikding on site made putting stuff out of sight easier and a washing machine to stay ahead of the laundry. Neighbors are fantastic and it made us feel a little easier knowing they were around. We highly recommend the site and will absolutely be back soon.

We have two primitive campsites these campsites are first come first serve, they are not assigned when booking. Plesea see pictures. Our Glamper tent is a 10x12 canvas furnished full size bed with bedding, pillows and enough floor space for two sleeping bags. The tens are located off a short trial, but rugged 2-minute hike from the parking area. We provide the opportunity to go camping without having to pack the tent. Closed toed shoes are highly suggested as well as plenty of lighting with batteries or solar charging capability. This is a rugged, fun and serene camping experience. I'm always happy to show folks around and share the story. Please note: During the rainy season the grass may get a bit long at times. You can also expect to experience a wide variety of agricultural activities, outside of quiet hours of course. Born out of a dream that started 10 years ago when I acquired 40 acres of forgotten and unmanaged rural woods. Having dug right in with the help of the Florida Forestry Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS and a very knowledgeable private forester; we developed a conservation management plan to restore it to its native state. The neighboring land became available and happily added another 40, I've learned so much on this amazing journey. 25K pines and a great deal of sweat equity later, it is time to share and encourage others to join in on the conservation efforts and make sure it's around for future generations.

Short-term reservations, lasting less than 30 days, necessitate full payment at the time of booking. Please note that canceling a short-term reservation incurs an $80 non-refundable deposit fee. To make reservations, contact the FamCamp office at 850.883.1243. Each campsite accommodates one RV and two vehicles. RV spaces are available for $40 per day, $250 per week, or $800 per month. Tent sites are priced at $12 per night, with a maximum stay of 30 nights. The campground welcomes active duty, retired military, and DoD civilians, while non-DoD guests can stay if sponsored by a military member who is also a guest. Sponsored guests may stay for a maximum of 14 days and must be reported to FamCamp staff
