3MOONS Project
6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents3 acres · CAWe are in the Mojave Desert, 27 miles east of Tecopa California. We are off the Old Spanish Trail . At the Old Spanish Trail, turn south at triangle with 3 moons., About a mile , 3 moons is at the corner of Falcon Way and Sunbake Way. We are halfway between the bright lights of Las Vegas and the expansive starry skies of Death Valley. A few generations ago roamed here the Shoshone Tribe. At the same time, pioneers from the East traveled on the Old Spanish Trail which crosses our own land. Now, a few of us who enjoy the great space and silence are creating with the earth. We build comfortably, off-grid, with the challenges of unpredictable weather and extreme climate. Some of us, like me, guided by a passion to create space in and with this earth, build with earthbags and bottles. In Spring, 2015, we began building. Slowly, thanks to like-minded, enthusiastic helpers, we grow! Enjoy sharing with others, like You?! who also love the hum of our planet Earth, its critters and being in touch with our own selves. Sleep in the arms of the Earth. Bring in, take out! BE responsible for yourselves and for our fragile desert!

Desert Glamping
18 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents5 acres · Meadview, AZMeadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center.  Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River.  We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available.  We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!..  The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels.  However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar.  We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees.  There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Wits End Ranch
8 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Yucca, AZ"Thar's gold in them thar hills" could've been coined right here.  There are gold mines and evidence of miners picking quartz etc. all around us.  Cairns marked off areas that are still here over a hundred years later.  We are the center of the oldest examples of Arizona cattlemen starting herds right here.  Round-ups and branding still go on every year.  One of the prettiest areas in the state for all kinds of unique boulder and rock formations, flora and fauna.  Wonderful hiking and scenic drives.

Land Beyond Zion Stars & Sunsets
8 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents2 acres · AZZion National Park is the 3rd most visited park in the US, so when we had an opportunity to purchase property in a rural area outside of the park, we jumped on it. The property is 2 acres surrounded by numerous acres in all directions that are empty land. Across the street there is a 600 acre cattle ranch, then a vast swath of Bureau of Land Management land you can hike to from the property. Our property has water and power hook ups. We have shade/rain structures, a BBQ area, a propane firepit (no wood fires please! too dry). Propane is a $10 per day additional fee if you want to use. You can pay per day. We purchased the property from a family down the road and they have helped us develop out the piece we have. Currently we park a trailer on it that we rent out, plus we have 1 glamp tent, 1 little cabin, 1 camping platform and a few rock areas for tents and vanlifers to pull up! There's a bath house with 2 flushing toilets an outhouse and an outdoor heated shower. We also have a great outdoor kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal! Stove, pots and pans, dishes, etc! Our property is 50 minutes to the east side of Zion. We are 15 minutes away from Coral Pink Sand Dunes state park (you can rent sand boards there) 25 minutes to Hurricane. We are 5 minutes away from a great grocery store (Bee's Market) with EVERYTHING! Just past that is a great microbrewery and pizza place called Edge of the World. Basically you get the quiet and dark skies at night, which are perfect for camping, but creature comforts of a bathroom, outdoor shower, Wifi, firepits and BBQ. We have cool art, horseshoe put, an outdoor kitchen with stove and all the cooking utensils and pots you need! Hot water! Land Beyond Zion is available for group rentals and great if you are trying to plan a camp out with numerous people, but struggling to find a campground that will accommodate. We are kid friendly, dog friendly, BIPOC, LGBTQ and senior friendly. We are not an RV park but can accommodate some smaller rigs, so reach out to us if you are interested in staying. We have room for a skoolie if it's the right size! Up to 24-26 feet vans and skoolies. Inquire if your rig is bigger. DOGS IMPORTANT!!! If you have a dog we ask that you please keep it near you at all times. If there are other dogs on the property you will need to leash up dogs. Also, please walk the property and pick up poop!!! Lastly we require a $20 fee for dogs. Please pay to our venmo (@shantihodges) Thank you!

Zion's Camp and Cottages
8 sites · LodgingLa Verkin, UTA couple of years ago we started looking for a great location to build a cluster of buildings to serve all of travelers to our area. We found an idyllic place off of the main road with a grove of huge cottonwood trees. It was being used as a pasture as it had been for many decades. We decided we would try to keep that same feel, so we have dedicated a large portion of the property to a meadow type environment with the idea of attracting birds to the area.We have also created a great mural wall with depictions of Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon and Zion.We feel like we have created a great place for travelers to relax after a long day of hiking. Our bunkhouses are beautifully equipped with all the things you need to be comfortable and well rested for your next trek.Begin located in La Verkin you have access to a great neighborhood market, coffee shop and a couple of gas stations.
