my husband and I acquired the property. We initially were going to be snowbirds and make this our winter
vacation home. After much thought and many winters in PA, we decided to sell our home in PA and make the move south. It was a difficult decision to leave our family,
friends and what was comfortable to us. About 3 years after our move, our neighbor asked if we were interested in his property. At this time we have potable water via a well system on site at 3 locations throughout the property but no electric or sewer is available yet. If you are planning to run a generator it must be turned off during quiet hours (11pm-7am) unless it is quiet enough not to disturb the neighbors. Thank you to Lynn and David for making us feel welcome on the property. We spent 3 nights camped at Artists Nature Retreat. The property was quiet from road noise but alive with sounds of birds, chickens and roosters. The campsites were spaced apart for privacy. Lynn and David greeted us on arrival and showed us the campsite, bathroom , walking paths, etc. They borrowed us a longer extension cord to reach our camper. Lynn and David were both very kind and shared stories about life in the circus with us. We're looking forward to another visit in the future.

We didn’t know what to think before we arrived as we were just looking for a place to test out the new RV and Crossroads was very biker friendly. Turns out it was a perfect weekend. There just happened to be jack Russel Terrier races going on so there were dogs everywhere but the wife and I love dogs so it just added to the adventure. The campground was perfectly fine. Everything worked great. The only downside was we wanted full hookups and to get sewer we had to take a location close to annuals, but nobody messed with us or was loud. We walked the grounds and it was beautiful land. The waterfalls were all working and flowing as they should. We don’t drink much but the bar looked excellent. We did have a cheesecake on a stick and it was amazing. All in all it was excellent for the price. The owner was fantastic and very helpful even offering to let us use things if we forgot something.

Very nice setup. Close to the springs, restaurants and shopping if needed. Dock area is very nice. Comfy chairs and a table. The water is crystal clear so you can see all of the varieties of fish. Didn’t see any manatees at this spot as the weather is warming up. Kayaks and paddle boards are available and in good shape. The site itself is large with a nice table setup, solo fireplace and hookups. Site is level which is nice. Only met Alonda once as we pulled in but we had no issues so there was no need to bother her. The resident dog Jazzie, was friendly with my dog and she was very sweet. Excellent experience overall.

Kim was an incredible host from start to finish. She was kind, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to make sure we were comfortable, without ever being intrusive. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and the experience they have at her ranch.
The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and well-maintained, and it felt very safe and family-friendly. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back.

We had such a wonderful time at Kate’s campsite. Highlights: easy to find. Shore power was easy to hook up too. Fire wood available for a small fee. It felt private. The springs were absolutely amazing. We saw manatees ❤️. Please note they do not have a bathroom. We were camping in a small van, and used a portable toilet set up. The space was private enough that we felt comfortable using it outside the van and without a tent. I really hope we get to return to Kate’s space.

We had an amazing weekend at this Hipcamp. Kate was the absolute best—super communicative and helpful from start to finish. The site was exactly as expected: private, jungle-like, and a great place to unwind. We had fun exploring the property and finding Pepper Trail, which was a nice bonus.
The highlight of the trip was kayaking with the manatees—an unforgettable experience.
One note for RVers: if your rig (or Travel Trailer) is longer than 25 feet, you may need to back in from the road. Our truck couldn’t quite make the turn, but backing in was easy and not an issue at all.
Overall, a fantastic stay. We’d absolutely come back again.
