Right on the canal and the ground is nice and level with gravel. It was a little hard to get there with the GPS but the directions on Hipcamp are helpful. Campsite was very tidy and there is a designated fire pit there. When we were leaving there was a really nice fellow bringing garbage bins and picking up garbage. Side note, there are raccoons, so don’t leave your garbage tied up anywhere. We had to pick up a huge mess as they raided our campsite the night before we left, but this site is fantastic!

The site was in a very nice, Old Florida, natural, spot. We were there by ourselves, so it was very private. It would be great for a couple of camping units traveling together. We really enjoyed it.

The site was as described. Large level lot. If it hadn't been raining the area would have been much more inviting. Unfortunately it poured nonstop and so much of the area was flooded.

The site itself was GOOD; clean, quiet, easy in/out, full hookups that were well laid out. The reason we hesitate recommending it to friends is that the area suffered greatly from 2 hurricanes in the fast year or two and there is still a good deal of destruction in the area. Many stores and restaurants are still closed and downed trees, building materials, toppled campers, refrigerators, and such still litter the area. The host at this site did a SUPERB job getting these two sites completely clean and refreshed. It seems that the city/county/state/FEMA needs to be more active in the city cleanup in order to refresh the entire area. I know of nothing else this host could do to improve the situation other than add 1 or 2 picnic tables and a trash receptacle of some type.

Great private spot. Hubby caught 3 catfish there in the canal so he was happy. Would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area

Very private and secluded, yet you can walk to restaurants and shops. The property is a huge flat gravel pad (see pics) that can comfortably host 2 RVs of any size. One side is a small canal with tropical forest on the other bank, 2 sides are tropical forest and remaining side is a dirt road with tropical forest across it. Stone firepit right by the canal. You can launch a kayak or canoe from the property and paddle to Steinhatchee River, but we didn't do that: launch is not very easy and the canal can get low when tide goes out. There are so many wonderful places to paddle within short driving distance: rivers, State Parks, springs, WMA and of course Gulf of Mexico! We saw manatees, gators, armadillo, racoon and dolphins (in Cedar Key, 80 min drive) and various birds.
Hook ups are good: 50A power, water and sewer (just a pipe, no screw-in: a standard RV sewer hose fits well).
No flies, very few mosquitoes and some no-see-ems. A racoon comes at night: lock your food!
I caught a catfish in the canal and a bowfin in the river.
We will certainly be back!

Sean’s property was just what we were looking for. We had a very good time kayaking from the falls and to the boat launch. Good water access, very quiet and clean . Would definitely come back if in area !!

Overall it was a nice basic campsite. We had water & electric..... unfortunately the dump station was full. It is gravel and level. It is tricky finding it and if you are in.a big rv it might be tough getting down rhe road to the site. There are alot of overgrown palms on the road to the site. But it was clean , level and private & peaceful. It is close to a good restaurant . We enjoyed our stay

Location is close to town. Def stop by Steinhatchee marina bar “ ask for David “ and eat dinner at Roy’s literally one of the best salad bars in the world !!

Really clean and quiet 🤫 camp site. We fished in the canal. Even had a camp fire. Neighbors were super nice 👍. FIY watch for alligators 🐊 swimming up stream.

Pretty nice and wide…. Easy to have some “space” between our neighbors who were also camping there. We turned our RV opposite so we didn’t have to share the same space with our awnings facing each other. We brought our lab dog and it was secluded enough to let him walk without a leash. Very nice and quiet for sleeping. Only caution is the dirt road in has some wispy tree branches that are beginning to cover the road. With our large RV I was a little concerned but it was ok. Probably needs to be trimmed in the near future. Great and seemingly new hookups. Easy to book… thanks for the opportunity to stay in Stienhatchee!

Sean’s campsite was well laid out and very clean. All electric, water, and sewer worked correctly. The site was very quiet and the neighbors were friendly. We even caught catfish and mullet in the canal. Looking forward to making a return trip this summer.

The directions were perfect and the campsite was easily accessible. The water hookup is convenient. The area around is a great example of Old Florida. We walked around the neighborhood with our dog and it is quiet and full of nature. The night sky offered many stars being that there is little light pollution. Great place, especially if you are camping with another group so you can take both spots. When we were there, we were the only ones, so it was very private.

Great price for full hookup. Don’t forget a 50 amp adapter if you use 30. We just used the trailer battery. Good location. Has a creek behind lot for canoe or kayak. Shade for tent site but not for camper. Would use again.

The campground is great and secluded. However there is not anywhere to dispose of trash. Also recommend a connector for the sewage hose on the 3 inch pipe. Highly recommend the campground.
