Monarch Manor Farm is also an official Monarch Butterfly weigh station and safe respite for migrating butterflies. These beautiful pollinators have been on Earth about 175 million years from what we can gather from fossils. Beyond the splendor that would be lost from the world if monarch butterflies went extinct, there would be ripple effects in the environment. Monarchs share their habitat with many other species of insects and birds. The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again. I loved the coziness combined with the ruggedness of the Barn. There were plenty of amenities to make the stay very pleasant, including a surprise of coconut water waiting for me in the cabin. Great camping spot! If you follow The Crossroads on Facebook you can see what events are happening. There is plenty of space across the property. Rv spots are large and a few with full hookups. Several with just water and power and plenty for tent camping. The whole property is impressive with tons to do. Frank and everyone else out there are super welcoming. We will be back for sure. Incredible land and setup! We were the first couple to camp under the mini temple wooden structure and it was a very short walk from the bathroom and outside shower (awesome experience, especially with some hot water) but still tucked away in nature. We would wake up to rooster calls and some movement from the cute chickens nearby and it was a very pleasant experience—let alone getting to know the owners, Lynn and David, who were very welcoming and kind. Would love to come back!

This was all around an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Rick, the host, is a great human being. He was waiting for us at the site, willing and available to help out in whatever thing we could need. He went the extra 2 miles for us to feel at home, and we did. The site is beautiful, clean, peaceful, quiet and full of nature everywhere, including a pond where you can fish and then cook your own caught meal (and a boat to ride too). The bathroom, the showers, and the place in general is fantastic. The kids had an amazing time all around. You have stores 5-10 minutes away and you can get whatever you need. The place felt very safe and the experience was way more than we expected. We made a friend for life and found our camping spot for years to come! We are already planning our next trip. You will not regret coming to Monarch Manor Farm. 10 out of 5 stars!

I had a wonderful time at the Artists Nature Retreat. This was my second visit, and it was breathtaking, beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Lynn and David are exceptional hosts. This gem is tucked away in the woods beneath mature trees. The grounds are well-groomed with artistic accents and some circus memorabilia. A bathroom with a small sink is available. There's a good-sized outdoor shower with hot water. You'll also find an outdoor sink for washing dishes. Having electric and water hookups at your campsite is a true bonus. A fire pit, lighting, and a picnic table complete the perfect camping scene. I enjoyed listening to the variety of birds that visit the property during the day and at night. The roosters are a welcoming sound. Their dog is sweet. Squirrels scurry by. I saw beautiful spiderweb art, too. I had a great time. I plan to visit again. The property is down a dirt road but it is safe to travel with caution. What a beautiful place!!!
