1 night at Taconic Forest FALL Camping!

I had a great experience with Constance and camping there! I was a late arrival 11:30pm and they came out to show me the site and the restroom! I appreciated that after a long drive and tired. She was a great communicator and hostess! She even gave us a basket of fruit! So kind. The location is great. You can get gas nearby, a convenience store, and Dunkin’ Donuts! Thank you, Constance! I would stay again!

Repeat camper here, this is a place where, nature meets impeccable cleanliness. The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring a Many hiking trails, stunning waterfall and a large pond perfect for swimming and even has a rope swing!. Kathleen herself is a gracious host, making every guest feel welcomed and at home. This campground is truly a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature! Site 8-9-10 are great for us overland camper’s. Will be returning again 110%.

Jonathan and Jennifer are very pleasant and easy to work with. The spot we had was spacious for our 18 ft travel trailer with slide out. They have a playground and plenty of acreage though we didn't walk through the woods. They had a fire ring for our spot as well as our neighbor's. The area is private, but you're only 2 miles from the town center of New Milton, which is cute.

We had an amazing time at Mike’s camp, even when it rained one night! There was plenty of firewood available, and the space was vast enough to accommodate a large group. We were upgraded to Phoenix Landing, which is more secluded and away from road noise—definitely a great spot for a peaceful getaway. We visited at the end of winter and could already tell that the area would be lush and beautiful in the summer. There’s a nice walking path on the property, perfect for a leisurely stroll. While there is a bathroom and shower on-site, we didn’t use them since we were only there for two nights and brought our own setup. The campsite was clean and well-maintained, and the land at Phoenix Landing was leveled, making our tent setup super even and comfortable for sleeping. There’s also a platform available, but we opted for a more primitive camping experience. We met Mike at the mushroom factory, and he was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and polite. Checking in and out was a breeze, and whenever we needed to communicate, he was always available and responsive. Overall, we had an awesome experience and would highly recommend this spot!

Honestly was pretty surprised how good this was for $30 a night. Don't get me wrong, these are primitive tent/RV sites so no electric or toilet access or anything, but it's behind a beautiful restored bed and breakfast, there are horses and stuff, walking trails behind. The sites themselves are clearly marked with lit up markers and are in a beautiful country field. I booked this with like a 2 hour notice and was able to just come in, set up, sleep, and leave the next morning. Quick responses from the owner with questions, too.

Joan runs two nonprofits related to psychological abuse and custodial interference as well as dabbles in the arts creating products from recycled and repurposed materials. Chris has been master carpenter and cabinet maker since the 1980’s. The two spend time keeping the grounds and gardens up and going out to dance. They love live music. The property is also the home to 3 cats. While physical check out of the tent is 10am, please ask if you would like to stay later. We can do a day rental of just the pool and gardens for an additional fee of $600 for parties of up to 20 people. For larger events, such as weddings, please contact us to discuss. Please ask if you would like to stay a little later than typical check out time. We often can accommodate. Please do NOT pick the fruits or veggies without asking as often things are not quite ripe yet. When things are ripe, we will try to put a bowl of fresh stuff out for you to choose from. Of course, it goes without saying, Please be considerate and clean up after yourselves. No smoking cigarettes or e-cigarette, vapes in the tent. If you need to bring a pet, they must be well-trained and not have an issue with cats or other dogs as we have 3 cats. Pets are NOT allowed to go to the bathroom on the lawn or in the gardens. They must either go in the woods or in the designated area for this. Please clean up after your pet if in the designated area. Ask us for how and where. We provide a wide range of amenities including first aid, bathroom and shower supplies. If you forget your tooth brush we usually have new extras around. Please bring bathing suits. Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
