Welcome to the Scott Ranch located 10 minutes east of South Fork, CO. Our ranch is easily accessible via a flat, state-maintained road, just seconds off Highway 160. Our family purchased the ranch a couple years ago. We are native Coloradoans who are interested in conservation. The Scott Ranch is a 147 acre, conserved ranch and boasts some of the most beautiful riparian grassland in the valley. We have hundreds of tall cottonwoods bordering 7/10th mile of private, gold medal water on the Rio Grande river. There are literally thousands of species of plants and animals on the property. Come enjoy the incredible sunset views from the firepit perched high above the large pond and be prepared for one the best stargazing experiences in the valley! Please know that we are not an RV park, nor do we want to be. We have only three sites overlooking the lower river corridor. This is intentional because we want your experience to be focused on the beauty of the ranch. The sites are flat and relatively private. Each site is 26x80 (easy pull through) with individual access to power (50 amp, 30 amp and 110 outlet) and water. There is common area that includes a large firepit, small table and charcoal grill for your enjoyment. You also have immediate access to a septic system station next to the sites, at your convenience. The Scott ranch is a working ranch. The lower corridor of the ranch will have livestock (cattle) grazing for several weeks out of the year. (Calving season is adorable!) For insurance reasons, guest access to the lower pastures and river corridor -- defined as any part of the ranch beyond the RV sites -- is only allowed through a separate reservation. If you are interested fly fishing our gold medal waters or simply want to explore the ranch's forest and pastures, please book an RV site first. Access to any part of the ranch beyond RV sites is foot traffic only and 75$ per person per day, unless otherwise arranged. It's first come first serve, limited to one group per day (arranged separately after the RV reservation is paid). 4 nights at PR Ranch - Fly Fishing

This is a little secret I hate to let people know about. We were the only ones camping this week. We had the entire place to ourselves. We ran into the owner and 2 ranch hands a couple of times, but besides that we were all alone. The owner and ranch hands were extremely nice. The fly fishing was top notch. I fished for 3 days and caught 15-18 inch trout every day. The river was maintained very well. We were here the first week of October and the colors of the trees was unbelievable. My wife wanted seclusion, river, and colors. I wanted fly fishing. We got everything we both wanted. I want to visit this ranch again.

The parking spot was level on gravel, close to the other two campers, but the forest was just up the road where we could walk our dog. Neighbor campers including our host were super friendly. Close to town on the highway. Convenient location.

Beautiful spot on the river! County rd next to it but is rarely used. I did have some families of Amish drive by in horse and buggy. Good fishing. River was low but I managed a handful over a day and a half, one 18”. Height of leaves changing and so colors were amazing. Great hosts. Provide all firewood too!

This spot was perfect. It was in a great location close to the hot springs which is what we go to pagosa for. There are some woods nearby that our dogs had a blast in. Beautiful and peaceful. Totally will come back!

Our 32 ft Class C fit perfectly within the mature pines at Paula's land. The river and views were top notch. You really dont find places like this with full hook ups. Will definitely be back. Thanks for putting your land up on hipcamp Paula. Beautiful!

Rich was kind and accommodating! The camp was clean and felt close to nature, and fairy close to both Pagosa and Chama. We will certainly keep this on our list of places to stay in So Colorado!

Lance is an exceptionally courteous and responsive host. His land is truly spectacular. It's a private paradise for people that want to get off the beaten path with a camper. The river is beautiful and this spot it is totally worth the price. It may not be everyone's cup of tea without the amenities of a campground/RV park, but if you don't want all that and are looking for quiet breathtaking views, with space for your fur babies to frolic through fields and swim in the river, this place is for you. I'm so grateful I was able to spend time here and will likely return next year!

Weekend Trip to The Last Resort on the River

We arrived late and checked out early. A quick overnight on our journey. So we didn’t get a chance to experience everything. I can say the host was wonderful. Walked us to our site. Explained everything about the grounds. They seem to have everything you could need. We backed our van to within 15 feet of a running creek. Nice. Beautiful location, not far from Pagosa Springs (10 miles ish). Would definitely return when in the area. Thanks!

4 nights at Riverfront Campsite on a Ranch!

We LOVED our time at PR ranch. It was exactly what we were looking for- secluded, beautiful, and accessible. We hiked a bit, played in the river (young sons), fished, and just enjoyed being outside together. We drove through some of the Rio Grande National forest and that was awesome, we even got to see Bighorn sheep. Glenn is a lovely man and took us around the property in his mule (4- wheeler). We highly recommend this property.

Weekend Trip to PR Ranch - Fly Fishing

We stayed at site#1. It was truly one of the most amazing sites we’ve stayed at, and we’ve stayed at several. Glenn’s ranch is about 20 min from Monte Vista. The Alamosa River cuts through much of it. Site #1 sits right off of the road, which is no big deal because there is very little traffic that comes through that county road. The site is big and flat with plenty of shade. Sits directly on the river with a nice shallow wading area. My husband enjoyed lots of fly fishing & caught several fish. There are 2 nice fire pits & a grate. Glenn was very accommodating & communication was easy. We enjoyed meeting him & learning about the area & ranch. Hope to be back again sometime. I suspect my husband will look him up to come back to stay on the ranch & flyfish someday:)

Our stay at Bristol Mountain/Broken Arrow Ranch was wonderful! We stayed in our 27ft fifth wheel and it was perfect. Plenty of room in our spot. The views were probably my favorite part of staying here. The property was clean, nice and very quiet. The location is great close to a few great hikes and scenery. It was close to Creede you could be to town in about 15 minutes which was perfect. I loved the phone booth lol. We had 2 dogs with us and it was fine for them! I would definitely recommend staying here. I have no doubt we will be back.
