Ten acres overlook the La Plata Mountains outside of Durango, CO. My small farm borders pinyon forest and rings with crickets, redwing blackbirds, and chorus frogs. You can find shady spots in the Forest, the orchard, or enjoy the view from the clearing. The irrigation ditch offers fun for dogs and ambient sounds. This is a working farm, and we are often in the greenhouse and garden. Leashed dogs only to protect wildlife and chickens! You’re likely to see deer, raccoons, foxes, hawks, hummingbirds, and maybe a skunk!Tent Site 1 is a level tent pad tucked up against the back of the property. It is quiet and has a great view of the mountains and surrounding farmland.

Beautiful campsite! I was grateful to be surrounded by peaceful cows all night, too. I felt safe and taken care of, and it’s clear that the host is very intentional with all the amenities that were set up and available to me. I would highly recommend this place for those traveling.

Gorgeous sunsets
Lorena’s land is beautiful. Lots of space to spread out. The sunsets are stunning and she had two big things of water and the portapotta is rustic but when you weren’t expecting one, it was a very pleasant surprise. Also the farm fresh eggs were delicious and only $3 for half dozen. Lorena was a very gracious host- there if you need her but also gives you plenty of privacy. I’d book again.
