A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. The Meadow Grove is a wild and natural pasture with campsites located near the historic Narrow Gauge Railroad bed on a family owned working ranch in coastal Northern California. The camp sites are nestled in a pasture and grove of mixed Eucalyptus, willow and cypress trees. The sites are perfect for tents or camper vans, or small trailers. [When we open in the spring, the grass can be 'slippery' and it is recommended you have 4WD. Around mid-June it is dried out enough for 2WD access to all sites]. The grounds are a working ranch, so there is variations of the soil- some lumps and bumps and general natural state of a pasture v. a groomed lawn. We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries. Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more. The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. There can be however, some heavy weekend traffic during the day with car clubs and motorcycle riders enjoying the coastal highway. *The Friendly Gray Cat's name is Boots!*

Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. We listed the site for up to 12 campers but feel free to reach out if your group is bigger. Please check out the newest addition of our cabin bunkhouse. Take a look at the pictures - you can add it to your stay as an extra when you book! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

Welcome to our family land! As an educator, I run the camp during summers primarily. As a proudly affordable option in Calistoga, all camps are set up to be user ready and campers are responsible for leaving the sites cleaned up and “better” than you found it. If this sounds good, read on! We offer rustic nature, space for tents and smaller RVs, and two levels of cabin camping just 10 minutes outside of our hometown, Calistoga. Our land is beautiful with amazing views and lots of wildlife - which comes with your fair share of roughing it. All sites have their own compost toilet and handwashing station. For glamping experience, CORAL CABIN guests have step up access to hot shower at the Hilltop “Cafe,” which also has a grill, sink, power outlets and Wi-Fi, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, and bathtubs for an extra charge. We currently try to rent one site at a time, so all sites have private access to amenities at the Hilltop Cafe. *Coral Cabin also has the largest, flattest spot for an RV, with great views and cabin access if you wanted. This cabin is our premier ‘roughing it’ experience complete with electricity, WI-FI, TV with Roku, and an AC unit. *Married Manzanitas campsite or cabin rental is high clearance or walk-in only (no RV access) and has an ambient temperature shower at their site fed by a hose. (Hose may need to be turned on at hilltop.) Guests can also use hot shower at the hilltop. If you choose to rent this cabin, this is our really roughing it experience with no Wi-Fi or electricity, just walls, high ceiling, floor, door and bed (comfy futon). It is very peaceful. Camp has a propane fire pit and camp stove available, and table/chair seating areas. *Shaded Oak is furthest from hilltop but can accommodate small trailers (up to 15 feet…), also great sunsets and a rough trail down to our ‘fern gully’ area. Lovely site with relatively easy access to the driveway. Shower and sink access at the hilltop! …has propane fire pit, table and chairs, and water for handwashing. All sites: Pack your trash (just to the trashbin at the bottom of hill)! Add mulch to the toilets! Leave it better! We are proud to be an affordable option in Calistoga and If you can clean up after yourself (to avoid cleaning fee), we would be happy to host you!

There are also 2 tent sites available on the property, located in one large area, further away from the RV sites. Barely 7 minutes away is downtown Gualala, with amenities such as 2 supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants and more. There is a beautiful holistic gift store, The Sea Trader, Four Eyed Frog Bookstore, and some lovely art galleries in town. Kayaking is available at the Gualala River. Hiking at Gualala Regional Park, the Bluff Trail, The Sea Ranch public access beaches, Stump Beach, Salt Point Park with a petrified forest, Bowling Ball Beach with its amazing natural formations (can only be seen fully at low tide of more than -0.2m), Manchester State Beach, Elk Beach, and more. Swimming at the Navarro River, and various bays. It is a place of incredible scenic beauty all along CA 1. Watch whales spouting during whale season. (Gray whales and orcas is December to May. For humpbacks, visit May through November, and for blue whales, the largest animal on Earth, plan your stay between July and October). Bower Park, just 0.5 miles away with a lovely lake, tennis courts, a baseball field, a basketball court, and two separate playgrounds. Play disc golf or hike along the nature trail/fitness course. Anchor Bay is 5 miles up CA 1, with a supermarket, a few cafes, restaurants (including a great Thai place!) laundromat, hair salon, and more. The quaint town of Point Arena is 12 miles north, with a supermarket, Frannie's Cup And Saucer, The Bird Cafe, a beautiful historic lighthouse, a theater, a pier, a mini-safari park (B Bryan Preserve with zebras, giraffes and more. Tours need to be booked in advance). Also visit Roots, a natural pharmacy for herbs, teas and supplements. There are also spots like Occidental, Bodega Bay, Jenner (with the Russian River to kayak and swim) and Timber Cove, all on the way to Gualala from the south. Bodega Bay has lovely spots to eat, with clam chowder, fish and chips. Enjoy wind and water sports, and walk on the pier.

The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds. The site offers great star gazing, sun rises, moon rises and access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane for sunsets. We highly recommend visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience. The space The antique Indonesian cottage is made of beautifully hand carved and hand colored teak wood, and is quiet, cozy and romantic with lovely views. It abuts a large private deck and hot tub. Just a few steps across the deck is the very large, luxurious, art filled, centrally heated private bathroom and sitting area. The cottage itself is unheated although there is a premium electric mattress pad with separate controls on the California King bed. That and the hot tub make for cozy sleeping on chilly winter nights Guest access Aside from the private deck, hot tub and bathroom/sitting room (with 6' tub and shower), guests can access 2.5 peaceful acres, woods and fields and Helen Putnam Regional Park one mile down the road for spectacular hiking. Other things to note In the 1970's this property was Swallowtail Studios, a famous glass blowers cooperative. The Grateful Dead played in the barn and hung out here...their manager lived just down the road. The barn is redwood, quite large and beautiful, with stained glass windows."

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy. Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in. Weekend Trip to spirit chicken ranch

This is an incredibly special place. The land itself is spectacular, with some of the most stunning views I’ve seen. Campsites are spread out and each very sweet. We bought out the whole place for a big group of families. Kids ranging from 2-10, and they couldn’t have been happier. And the amenities are the best! Chris has done such a nice job with the sauna house and outdoor shower and kitchen. Perfect gathering places. The coyotes, birds, and wild horses were wildlife highlights for us all. Stargazing is awesome as it’s far from most light pollution. Note that the road is rough and took us 35 mins in a truck, but our two kids who get carsick a lot were fine with a little Dramamine.

Great spot and within walking distance to town and the ocean. Farm animals were entertaining and the host was very kind. Bathhouse was clean and the hot tub was an added bonus. Great that a grill, gas stove, cooking supplies, and propane fire pit were provided! You will be in the company of a few other campers, but we didn’t mind and enjoyed some conversations with others. We’d love to come back!

I loved our glamping spot. The free complimentary firewood on the first night and free complimentary extra mattresses were nice for my family and I. the mountain views 360 all around were so pretty! It was also very shaded. We saw many deer, quail, and squirrel by our tent was a treat for my children. The restrooms were not horrible. There is also an observatory nearby so we got to view the stars at night. It was a pleasant trip. The glamp itself was nice and furnished, perfect for my family who usually have a very hard time camping in nature.

The host met us as we pulled up and gave us a quick tour of the area and amenities which was fantastic. It’s always a little weird thinking you are staying in someone’s yard but they had a great set up. The campsites were level and large enough for our three tents. We brought our own kitchenware but they had sinks, soap and anything we may have forgotten. Yes the rooster can be loud but I pretty much slept through it. Great spot!

What an amazing spot! Just 10 minutes from Dillon Beach, the campsite was super easy to find—and we ended up having the entire place to ourselves! The property is beautiful, set right along the creek, and we loved relaxing by the campfire while watching cows graze nearby. The 24/7 farm shop was a huge plus—we could grab firewood anytime, and their meats and eggs were absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Eagle's Nest Treehouse is truly magical! Lesley was such a kind, responsive, and accommodating host and made everything easy. We loved all the sights and sounds of the Highland cattle, geese, ducks, dogs, deer. We purchased meat and eggs from the ranch and made delicious burgers for dinner and scrambled eggs for breakfast. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores around the fire pit. The treehouse itself is nestled in a beautiful and secluded wooded area, and is so well-appointed and cozy. I could not have asked for more and can't wait to come back.

As soon as we exited onto Atherton, our dog stuck his head out the window and started sniffing non-stop. The Olive Farm is his favorite place, and he ran and ran and ran during our stay. It’s so much fun to watch him. Mother Nature made this visit more challenging than usual, but our tarp and tent pulled us through. Sam’s property is truly amazing, and we feel very lucky to be able to visit it.
