This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. Oh, and if the natural beauty doesn’t get you: this was the place where they first spotted Bigfoot. Yeah, the original footage that basically made everyone believe in the hairy bi-ped. That, on its own, is reason enough to check it out

There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end. FIRE BAN IS IN EFFECT ALL YEAR ROUND. This includes NO USE of camp stoves, jet boils, bbq grills unless inside your van or trailer. Please plan on picnic foods. Thank you. This is a high desert terrain highly volatile and afternoon breezes can come up in the summer. There are 3 RV and/or camping sites available for campers to book. Please note that there are no RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose. Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. The property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

This spot worked like a charm for car camping during my weekend gem show at the Shasta District Fairgrounds. Restroom with composting toilet was clean and well set up. The barn has a nice "hang out" toom at the back. The site was easy to find and not too far from the fairgrounds, but much more peaceful than staying there would have been.

We had a great stay at Eddies place in Dunsmuir! Nice deck and picnic table for happy hour and morning coffee. The site was level and easy to access. The location was quiet and walkable to the Dining car at Jubilee Railroad. Eddie was a great host who greeted us when we arrived. We will be staying again the next time we go to Dunsmuir.

More expensive than all other places we used but it was a unique location with amenities and good restaurant on the location. Train caboose and engines were an added boost. Would be great for a longer stay and children would like it

It’s hard to put into words how special Michael’s property really is. The setting of the campsites on the river is just spectacular and the solitude and peace we found during our stay there was everything we were hoping for. We have a 23’ travel trailer and lot was pretty nice and flat for our unit. We also had the place to ourselves which was magical. The location is in close enough proximity to a few little local towns in case you needed to grab anything or want to go grab a bite in town. Michael’s communications were great, directions were easy and I would go back in a heartbeat. We hope to be able to go back again someday! Thank you so much Michael!

Amazing, magical natural hot springs. Campsites themselves are a first come first serve deal and they're pretty good, with most of them having at least one especially nice thing going for them (privacy in the trees, less privacy in the open field area but the sound of the river flowing by and goodnight sky viewing). I'll definitely be coming back.

The spot is beautiful. A little oasis with magical river and hot pools. I would visit again. It was late September and there were maybe 10 spots taken on a weekend, which gave everyone privacy. Instructions clear. The only downside: the teenage steers on the other side of the river were being weaned from their moms that weekend, and the 100 or so cows were very loud much of the day and night. Maybe just a once/year thing? I spoke with the rancher and he said that his cows are very talkative. They do look very well taken care of and mostly they look totally happy in the pasture. However, the bellows were quite loud and a bit distressing. Some people said they liked hearing them. Others didn't.

Had a wonderful family camping trip this past weekend. Hot Springs are incredible. Such a unique experience overlooking a beautiful river. You must bring everything in and out, which is a little bit of a hassle. Would highly recommend.
