Our farm is dog friendly tho we wish pets to be kept close, must be neutered and friendly to other dogs and people. Please be sure to bury or bag the waste. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them. Converted into my home over a decade ago, this bus served as my home until I bought this property in 2006, and it has since been the deluxe guest bus. It is very comfortable and comes with all the luxury one would expect in a cabin -- hot water, full kitchen, refrigerator, and queen bed. It should be noted however, that the ceiling is 6 foot high, and thus my not be suited to tall people! Also, there is a private toilet, but it is not inside the bus...instead it is a short jaunt from the front door. Also, I suggest bringing flip flops or some kind of easy on and off shoes, both for the bus and the bathroom jaunt. I request that the bus be kept as a "no shoes" environment, as I am discovering that the enviro oak flooring is quite sensitive to wear. Built mainly from recycled & resourced second hand materials, the bus is a 1985 Chevy with a Detroit Diesel engine. Her interior was designed with the "live lightly on the land" aesthetic and all appliances were chosen because they work well with solar power, including propane fridge and oven/stove and wood stove. The bus can sleep kids up to 15 years of age and additional bedding is available -- however it is not "child-proofed" so probably not the best for a toddler. Furthermore, I'm willing to consider small dogs (10 lbs and under), but the bus will not accommodate medium and big-sized dogs. Learn more about this land: An artful school bus located off Hwy 1, 1.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, provide a secluded, sunny off-grid, creative getaway, with organic gardens, outdoor tubs & "malibu shower", plus fully equipped kitchen, wifi, wood-stove & on-demand hot water.

Converted into my home over a decade ago, this bus served as my home until I bought this property in 2006, and it has since been the deluxe guest bus. It is very comfortable and comes with all the luxury one would expect in a cabin -- hot water, full kitchen, refrigerator, and queen bed. It should be noted however, that the ceiling is 6 foot high, and thus my not be suited to tall people! Also, there is a private toilet, but it is not inside the bus...instead it is a short jaunt from the front door. Also, I suggest bringing flip flops or some kind of easy on and off shoes, both for the bus and the bathroom jaunt. I request that the bus be kept as a "no shoes" environment, as I am discovering that the enviro oak flooring is quite sensitive to wear. Built mainly from recycled & resourced second hand materials, the bus is a 1985 Chevy with a Detroit Diesel engine. Her interior was designed with the "live lightly on the land" aesthetic and all appliances were chosen because they work well with solar power, including propane fridge and oven/stove and wood stove. The bus can sleep kids up to 15 years of age and additional bedding is available -- however it is not "child-proofed" so probably not the best for a toddler. Furthermore, I'm willing to consider small dogs (10 lbs and under), but the bus will not accommodate medium and big-sized dogs. The Cozy Cabin is tiny and adorable - one of those rare properties that is actually exactly as described in its listing. We brought our dog and had a lovely stay. The bed is very comfortable, the cabin is well insulated, well spaced from other dwellings and campsites, the land around it is beautiful, and there are lots of stars to see on a clear night. Only noteworthy flaw was upon arrival: it was pretty tough to find our way in the dark. Arrive in the daylight if possible until they add clearer night-reflective signage and/or a detailed campsite map!

I just got back from a lovely weekend at Sunny’s cabin with my two kids, and it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is tucked into the redwoods, quiet and peaceful, and it really felt like a little forest adventure for the kids. Our favorite part was sitting by the fire at night, talking and relaxing together. Sunny was a wonderful host. She was warm, responsive, and helpful whenever I had a question, but also gave us plenty of privacy. Her two friendly dogs were a huge hit with the kids and made the place feel even more welcoming. I left feeling rested, my kids had a great time, and I would happily come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, nature-filled getaway.

Sunny is so sweet and this place is so charming! I had a lovely time staying here while visiting Mendocino, which is about 40 mins away. There were a couple things I was anxious about - windey roads and the steep driveway to get down to Sunny’s land - but all turned out fine and she put me right at ease. The cabin itself is very cute, outdoor kitchen and shower well functioning, and the dogs kept me company when I was by myself at night!

There’s such a calming atmosphere across the entire property and the owner is very kind and accommodating if needed. Grills work great, pool was clean and views were amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Such a special place to be. The homey feeling of an Airbnb with the privacy and nature of a good camping adventure. River access is a little bit of a trek to get to so just something to note if you might not be as able bodied but sooo worth it if you can- we essentially had that section of the river completely to ourselves. Tent was well kept and everything was well maintained. Would definitely recommend and will probably be back at some point!

Good Things Farm is a truly magical place to say. Kirsten and Evan have created a truly magical little haven! They are extremely gracious and kind hosts! My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the space. We had intended to use this as just a home base to explore Fort Bragg and Mendocino on a long weekend, but honestly we found that staying at the farm was the probably the main experience in itself. We really enjoyed the bikes that were provided with easy access to the leisurely coastal trail around the town. Mendocino is also only a short drive away (30 mins) and has gorgeous beach views. But what really made the experience so great was just staying on the farm. It's like having private access to a botanical garden! The hot outdoor shower was also a to die for experience. Two shower heads!!! If you are looking for the glamping experience than this has to be the best it can ever get! Also be sure to visit the farm box out front! Lots of really affordable and delicious fruits, meats, snacks, etc.

My stay at Sunny land was absolutely lovely! The cabin itself is so cozy, with a deck and a gorgeous view. There's a kitchen -- sink, mini fridge, and propane stove, with dishes and soap provided. Cute working shower with hot water, and the outdoor toilet was intimidating, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be -- plus the view from it is beautiful. Chloe and Echo were very capable escorts around the site, and Sunny herself was so kind and sweet, and helped us navigate around the area a bit (we drove in to Mendocino and did the skunk train at Fort Bragg). Highlight of the trip was absolutely the stars! So many stars, I don't think I've ever seen so many in my life.
