This property is the perfect place to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature. Nestled in the mountains of the high desert, we invite you to come stay in a peaceful serene setting, where beautiful natural desert scenery and mountain views surround you. The 40 minute hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is well worth the effort, and there's so much more natural beauty to see as you explore miles of hiking and OHV trails nearby and right on the property. Weather can be extreme at times, with Winter temps ranging from 20*F to 40* F, and Summer temps peaking at 112F. The cold creek water in the Deep Creek canyon flows all year around, and the 6 creek-side hot spring pools are always full and consistently hot all year around, ranging in temperatures between 90F-108F. The hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is fairly steep and can be difficult for some people, especially in warm weather. In order to be prepared with the correct gear to make this hike and know the USFS rules that apply to the area, please educate yourself before coming by visiting the USFS website page for the Deep Creek area and our webpage for the Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground for detailed driving directions to the official trailhead located right on our property. You won't get lost if you park on our property and hike from the trailhead, so make sure you go to the right address, and not go thru the shack, which is a further hike and doesn't start on the trail. Know before you go! Generally, reservations are not necessary to set up a tent site, but we have a more private area set aside for hipcamp reservations that has separate facilities from the general camping area. We do not recommend bringing children due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty for the hike. The hike to the hot springs is fairly difficult and everyone’s physical fitness needs to be considered when deciding to take pets, or have children, elderly people, or out-of-shape/over-weight people in your group.

Finding Ground RV Camping

Joshua Tree National Park and it's surrounding area is Wild and Beautiful. Learn more about this land: This invitation is for self-contained RVs, Travel trailers, and Vans with a bathroom. There is space for tent camping if accompanied by a self- contained RV. Campers must use the RV Bathroom. There is a $10 charge per night per tent. Dogs are welcome with an additional $7 per night, per dog. There is an additional $10 fee per night for a second vehicle and another $10 for a third vehicle. I live in a very quiet, rural, neigborhood. This serene location offers endless panoramic views across the high desert, from Sand to Snow. Sunsets can be extraordinary. The night scenes are spectacular in a full moon. Hiking and walking trails abound. It is located 6.9 miles from the vehicle entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. If you are hikers you can enter the park half a mile from my property. The village of Joshua Tree is close by. There is water and a septic hook up at the site. The driveway circles the house so you can back in or pull into and out of the RV space easily. You need to supply your own electric. You can run a generator at most times. No charcoal grills or camp fires are allowed due to the 3 year drought. Adults may use a propane grill or firepit as long as it is not left unattended when on.The RV space is 18' x 60'. There is room for RV slides and outside furniture. The street leading to my property is paved. My driveway and your space is gravel. So be sure your vehecles are can traverse gravel without a problem. I live in a small house about 50 yards from your parking spot. My lot is over 2 acres. FIRE PITS are allowed if they are propane with a screen on top. You may not leave a fire pit unattended. It is quite windy here. A stray spark can cause a rapid fire. Dry Desert material may land on top of a sceen at any time starting a fire. There is good reception for Att and Verizon cellular phones. I am unable to provide internet at the RV space. The Flip Flop Ranch farmstay has sheep and lambs, pigs and piglets, cows, chickens, bunches of barn cats (with plenty of kittens), geese, ducks, turkeys, goats, horses and more. Host a family get together, a business retreat or a hangout with friends! “Just being on a farm is good for the soul."–Scottie Jones farmstay US Your visit starts off with a tour through the farm to learn where things are and to gain some basic knowledge about what we do and the types of livestock we raise. You are welcome to join us for feeding and milking in the morning and afternoon! Main home Beds are as follows: 2 full beds in room 1 downstairs, 2 full beds in room 2 downstairs, 2 queens in master bedroom upstairs, 1 king in bedroom upstairs, 1 full in bedroom upstairs. All beds will be freshly made with clean white linens and there will also be fresh bath towels and courtesy soaps provided for all our guests. There is no smoking permitted inside the home and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any pets. Guests found with pets at the property will result in an immediate forfeiture of the remaining reservation days and loss of $500 security deposit. Basic rates (Including 8% Trans Occ Tax), depending on season are: $300/night mid week (Sunday-Thursday). Weekend rates (Friday-Sat)are $400/nt and Holiday rates are $450/nt with 3 night minimum. Specials or last minute discounts may be available within 10 days of a reservation booking. For actual rates on your trip date please refer to the calender. Signing of a Guest Occupancy Agreement, Participation Agreement for each visitor and copy of drivers license will be required upon confirmation of reservation and may be sent via e-mail, text or US mail and is also available at our Flip Flop Ranch Farmstay website. ***We try our best to keep the calender updated but in the event of a conflict we will notify you within 24 hours of booking. Guest Access The entire farm house is yours to use, including the kitchen with full amenities. Feel free to wonder the farm and go into the petting zoo pen whenever you like to hug the fluffy sheep. The most important activity to consider is the “art of relaxation.” When you find yourself surrounded by natural beauty, slow down, breathe deeply and appreciate it. Watch a sunset, go bird-watching, take a walk through the desert, listen to the livestock, read a good book or just sit quietly and let your mind wander. Blue skies, clean, fresh air, starry nights and the sounds of silence are all included in your airbnb stay. Interaction with Guests All guests get a free tour of the farm and can join the farmers for feeding and milking in the morning and evening when possible. This depends on our schedule and whether or not you are around when we feed. Feel free to ask us about feeding times as it changes. Guest may be greeted by the farmer but if we are out running errands a combo lockbox is on-site for 24 hour key access upon arrival. Other Things to Note The home is located on a working farm surrounded by miles of beautiful desert with hardly any neighbors. Plenty of space to go hiking. Located five miles down the mountain from Big Bear and the ski areas. We're also only 22 miles (about a half hour) from Means Lake in Johnson Valley where King of the Hammers takes place. Johnson Valley also offers fantastic off highway vehicle areas for dirt biking or rock crawling all year long. Learn more about this land: Stay in our farmhouse on a century old farm. You can see the big red barn from the farmhouse window and hear the rooster in the morning. Join in with feeding the animals or milking the goats!

Sorry, no drones, no loud parties or music after 11pm - my neighbors get upset. Quiet time is 11pm at camp and you can hang out up the mountain at the big firepit as long as you want. Desert Daisy is 6 miles from Joshua Tree National Park, 4 miles from Hwy 62 shops and art galleries, JT Saloon, restaurants. Less than 2 miles to Casa GoGo, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Joshua Tree Lake and Campground, the Transmissions sculptures, Noah Purifoy's Museum. Mesa Market is 2.5 miles away and has firewood, ice, water, a taco truck, some of everything, and is open til 10pm. All sites except Mountain Majesty 7, Lazy 8 and Snowkiss Chalet are inside the fenced area. Parking, picnic tables and seating, firepits are at each site. Windbreaks are at Big 6, Flower Power Platform 1, Site 2, Mountain Majesty 7 and Snowkiss Chalet glamper. The Community Area - shared by all campers - has shade, a windbreak, big tables with seating for 14 and additional seating nearby, 2 bbq grills with coals in the file drawer, a propane stove, basic cooking utensils, solar string lights, and more. It is closest to Big 6. Enjoy a bouldering hike to the top of the mountain behind MM7 and Lazy 8, where you'll find a huge firepit with big rocks to sit on. For entire Desert Daisy booking, you get the whole place minus my owners cabin, private deck and storage RV. You'll have the Community Area, and i can offer a big shade umbrella, a big 2-burner stove with 25 gallon propane tank, pots n pans n dishes n cutlery, extra seating, a hammock or 2 with metal frames, games, even a huge 16x16ft glamping tent that fits on Big 6 - at extra cost. The Smoking Area is at the far tip of the land inside the fence, with seating, a coffee table, incredible views and a bucket for your butts. Amenities include a flush toilet, porta potty, water tower with potable water, a solar shower stocked with soap, shampoo, body wash, a small hand washing sink, a big sink for dishes stocked with soap and scrubber. BRING LIGHTS, DRINKING WATER, FIREWOOD. Firewood is available for purchase from my neighbor and he will deliver with enough notice. Big 6 is a huge 20'x20' raised platform, and is also great for yoga sessions, retreats, acoustic guitar groups, chat sessions, etc. Flower Power Platform 1 has a 10'x10' platform and a big sandy area next to it for more tents, parking, canopy, etc. Site 2 has a 10'x12' tent platform, parking for 2 cars or 1 car and a small tent. Snowkiss Chalet is a tiny, Disney-themed glamping kiosk pod with porch, seating, outdoor kitchen, a big picnic table, solar shower bag, parking and more tent space. Mountain Majesty 7 is behind the shipping container and is a private groupcamp site with a windbreak, 2 big picnic tables with holes in them for your own umbrella, 3 firepits, plenty of parking, and has Caboose- a unique shipping container deck and lounge area. The native plants, flowers, wildlife and kangaroo mice at night add to the charm, and there are no mosquitos. The fallen branches of the creosote bushes make perfect kindling for your firepit. Be sure to look under your vehicle so you don't drive over any chuckwallas enjoying the shade. IMPORTANT: Follow my directions pin which I send the morning of your arrival, or you'll end up lost and stuck in a sandtrap on the other side of the mountain. Again, bring lights and drinking water and warmth for chilly desert nights. All sites are clean, well-maintained, have incredible views and star gazing and a feeling of serenity as you enjoy the beauty of nature. High Desert Hot Spring Hideout

This property is the perfect place to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature. Nestled in the mountains of the high desert, we invite you to come stay in a peaceful serene setting, where beautiful natural desert scenery and mountain views surround you. The 40 minute hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is well worth the effort, and there's so much more natural beauty to see as you explore miles of hiking and OHV trails nearby and right on the property. Weather can be extreme at times, with Winter temps ranging from 20*F to 40* F, and Summer temps peaking at 112F. The cold creek water in the Deep Creek canyon flows all year around, and the 6 creek-side hot spring pools are always full and consistently hot all year around, ranging in temperatures between 90F-108F. The hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is fairly steep and can be difficult for some people, especially in warm weather. In order to be prepared with the correct gear to make this hike and know the USFS rules that apply to the area, please educate yourself before coming by visiting the USFS website page for the Deep Creek area and our webpage for the Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground for detailed driving directions to the official trailhead located right on our property. You won't get lost if you park on our property and hike from the trailhead, so make sure you go to the right address, and not go thru the shack, which is a further hike and doesn't start on the trail. Know before you go! Generally, reservations are not necessary to set up a tent site, but we have a more private area set aside for hipcamp reservations that has separate facilities from the general camping area. We do not recommend bringing children due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty for the hike. The hike to the hot springs is fairly difficult and everyone’s physical fitness needs to be considered when deciding to take pets, or have children, elderly people, or out-of-shape/over-weight people in your group.
