Visit, fish, or camp in a rare jewel forest, hidden in the Sierra/Cascade foothills, less than an hour's drive to Chico, Oroville, or Paradise. Surviving forests of mature cedars, pines, oaks, and madrones provide shady camping, fishing along the lake shore, or picnicing along the banks of the creek that runs through a recovering creekside area. Stargaze or fly kites in our Great Meadow or admire copious wildflowers and other native plants on over 80 acres of wilderness. We provide a variety of recovering wilderness areas near water faucets, pit toilets and an RV dump station. Our site features mature forests, grassy meadows, a year-round creek in a fire recovery zone. The site also features lakefront shoreline access for bank fishing, a central fire pit and lots of space for group camping. Fires are permitted in the central pit when weather allows. The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. The Sierra Sol Camp project has been hosting community events and friend gathering for years. We take great pride in extending a warm and welcoming space for all our visitors and extending the invitation to campers was a great next step.
We have listings ranging from yurts to shipping containers, an old water tower converted to a vintage trailer and canvas tents.
We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake.
On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink.
Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park is nestled amongst the pine-studded chaparral forest of the Sierra Nevada Foothills and is home to California’s largest hydraulic gold mine. The 3,000-acre park encompasses the town of North Bloomfield and the historic Diggins site, which allows visitors to step back in time and experience the boom and bust of the California Gold Rush. Visitors can see huge cliffs carved by mighty jets of water, results of the gold-mining technique of washing away entire mountains to find gold. Legal battles between mine companies and the downstream agricultural towns of Marysville and Yuba City ended this particular method of mining, and was the first environmental lawsuit in the United States. We enjoyed our stay here - as others have noted, it's close to town and the river, and the view cannot be beat. Also, it's very quiet - other guests respected the 10p noise curfew - and if you have younger kids(we do), there's an epic swing on the property.
We came with a Westy and a tent. There aren't designated tent areas, which was fine with us as we are accustomed to dispersed camping. I found a flat-enough spot that worked for me without much trouble. If you are used to state park campgrounds where leveled spots are obvious, know that these haven't been built out yet. Chris is thinking about leveling areas or building tent platforms in the future. Just know that it is a dispersed camping vibe.
We would definitely return here in the future.

My friends and I decided to reserve the Serenity Cabin for our annual camping trip and we had the best time! The pictures do not do any justice at all bc in person, the entire site, the entire location, the art, everything was just BEAUTIFUL!! The cabin was gorgeous! From the little kitchenette, to the bed to the chandelier! And we appreciated the fact that it had a fan bc it was super hot throughout the weekend.
The deck was perfect for us to vibe to our music and lay out to gaze under the stars.
The outdoor sink and table were a huge plus! Easy cleanup after we were done cooking!
I wanted to give a huge thank you to Rebecca and Chris— they were so sweet and kind to us. Rebecca provided us with areas we could visit to beat the heat. And they were always available for any questions we had.
We can’t wait to book here again!!!!

Mark and Patricia's land was absolutely perfect! We had three big dogs that were able to roam freely and hang out, the kitchen and bathroom were perfect for our big group. We had more than enough space to fit over 10 tents comfortably. Mark and Patricia told us about good spots on the creek to go to, and we are planning to go back next year! Cannot recommend this place enough, would give them 1,000 stars if possible!!

This is a special site with great amenities right next to the river. We reserved site 4 and 5 together, which I recommend if you’re looking for a more secluded vibe. The camp kitchen and bathroom are fantastic, as were the sweet lounge chairs on the path to the river. The river access is super cute (not exactly a beach but easy access to water), and I wish we had brought a SUP or kayak to explore more. We would definitely stay again.

My son and I had a fantastic time. Mike has been great with excellent recommendations for fishing.
This isn't a commercialized camping spot, which was exactly what we were looking for.

This property is so lovely and clean. Hosts were responsive. Wasn’t sure about the water current or ease of access to the river, so I didn’t bring my paddle board, but it would have worked out just fine. The water is deep and great for cold plunges in the heat. I had the whole property to myself for most of my stay, which was great for my dog too. Other campers were nice even so. I would definitely book again since it is so close to many spots. South Yuba River State Park is just out the driveway, practically! Amazing!

Weekend Trip to No. Columbia Off-Grid Homestead
We loved tent camping on Samantha’s land. It was the perfect spot — easy to find, remote in a way that felt private and secluded. The dogs on the property are super sweet and friendly, and the facilities were clean and easy to find. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back in the future.

Weekend Trip to Tranquillity Base Ranch
Staying in the yurt was an amazing experience! There were many thoughtful additions and we loved the design and feel of the place. Only a 15 minute drive to a great swimming hole nearby! We were disappointed to find out that a portable stove and cooler were not provided (despite this being outlined in the listing), but Sterling, the person who was taking care of the property during our stay, was extremely helpful and did his best to remedy the situation. We had a wonderful time exploring the land and look forward to returning hopefully soon.

A lovely remote spot w/ easy access despite the dirt road……how else do you get that
Remote feeling? The camping sites are mostly basic but the ‘Leafy Lookout’ site looked amazing, with its own deck and view. 4 ladies there were loving it. The kitchen and bathroom area was beyond expectations. Clean and stocked with supplies, warm water, picnic tables, kitchen sink & outdoor cooktop and BBQ. Plus, a lovely view deck above the river for lounging. The water access was kind of muddy, wish they had a mini dock, but easy access to the ‘still’ section of the river if you wanted to just float on a tube there. Kirby and Juniper were wonderful hosts who were quick to respond to questions. WiFi available with some spotty times, but in general, it worked fine. We will be back! Great location near the park (go early to get parking) and a 20 min. drive to Grass Valley.

We absolutely loved camping at Confluence Ranch. The property was beauitful and well maintained. The creeks were idyllic and excellent for swimming and day lounging. The outdoor shower was an excellent added ammenity. Would highly recommend to friends looking to book a fun outing with a medium-large group.

3 nights at Sierra Sol Camp
Deja’s place Sierra Sol was great! I had reserved the water tower but when we got there and I saw how many steps there were, she kindly offered me the Diva Den instead and it was lovely. Our group ended up having the whole camp to ourselves during our stay and we loved it. We would definitely recommend staying with Deja if you are going to that area.

July 2026 I stayed 2 nights at Campsite #4/Star Gazers Haven. There is enough room for 2 tents and 2 cars at this site. This site was more private than site #2 and #3, and while we were there we rarely saw the campers in site #1 unless we were using the shared kitchen area.
The bathrooms are wonderful. It was so nice to have multiple dedicated sinks & hot water to do camp dishes.
There are additional areas to hang out or take a little walk to & sit overlooking the river. Be advised, while there is shore access, I did not feel confident with taking my kayak or paddleboard due to the very limited "beach" sandy area along the river.
My favorite part of this campground was how quiet and secluded it was.
The dirt road is about 1.5 mile long and while trailers/RV's are allowed I would not advise on bringing yours. There are 2 sharp turns and very limited space to turn around.
The South Yuba State Park is only a short drive from the campsite. This was AWESOME!!! Being so close to the state park area & having a place to get out of the hot weather made this one of my favorite camp trips ever.
** Important ** if you decide to book site #4, you need to be aware that if Campsite #5 is also booked, those campers will have to walk THRU YOUR campsite to access/and unload gear to their site. If I end up back in this area w/friends, I would book both site 4&5 together to have full access to the large deck and the largest parking area on property. Thanks!!
