This spot is great! It's quiet and secluded, so nice to not be in a campground. Our dog was able to run and play (within reason given it's bear territory). Having a water spigot really helped a lot. The stars!

2 nights at Glitter Cove Retreat

What a special place this is! I had a lovely, peaceful stay with my dogs. It was private, quiet and Cindy did a wonderful job at communication and directions. She made sure we were set with all we needed right when we arrived. I enjoyed spending time down at the shady dragonfly beach since it was a hotter day. It was such a treat to hear the flowing water right from camp. My dogs loved the freedom of playing and exploring around the area.

This place was absolutely incredible! The view was gorgeous and the sunset breathtaking. We swam in the waterfall during the day. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Shandie and Jesse’s land was beautiful and they were such beautiful people too! They were so kind and helpful, Shandie kept going out of her way to show us the trails and paths to take/avoid. We truly felt welcomed, and the views were gorgeous, so many wildflowers during this time of year. The site was perfect to hang out as a group, I cannot wait to go back again!

Weekend Trip to Dunlap Canyon Retreat

The location was lovely. Had a pond to walk to a short distance away. Great for taking my pup on morning and evening walks. All the amenities were provided - hot showers, clean bathrooms, fire pits, nite time lighting to get to bathhouse. Whether you are RV or tent camping or want to reserve a yurt, I highly recommend. Spencer was a great host- helped me make sure my car was running properly before I left. Only suggestion if driving over from Kings Canyon NP, not advised to take the Millwood exit from the highway. Very winding road. Better to take Dunlap turnoff a few miles further down highway. Puts you at lower end of Milwood.

Weekend Trip to The Mountain Chapel Campground

Jack was an absolute Rockstar of a host!! He was available and accommodating! The site was exactly what we were looking for, the drive in (yes full of twists and turns.. thats what you get when you go to the mountains) but it was the PERFECT distance from the national park/forest. The immediate campsites were a bit sunny during the day (june) but there were other spots to go and sit in the shade. The STARS were unreal!!! If youre a star gazer like myself... bring yourself some outsoor sleeping gear because O.M.G. BEAUTIFUL. The view of the mountains for sunrise and sunset were a sight for sore eyes 😍 the pups on the property are friendly and well socialized and (2025) his pointer is a pup and will have you cackling at her gooberness. (Random note to be made, if for any reason youre nervous to book this BECAUSE of the chapel in a mountain town [my friend was] DONT be lol! Its literally just a pretty structure that is being renovated LOL.. had 0 to do with the host/campsite) Jack and his wife (can't remember her name as I didnt book the trip and she was out of town while I was there) are trying to renovate the property and I would LOVE to come back in a few years and see what they've done to the place! So STAY HERE AND BE APART OF THE RESTORATION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL LAND!

Weekend Trip to Glitter Cove Retreat

There is so much to say about this site, however I doubt I'll be able to think of it all into words. For starters, the host Cindy and her husband are so welcoming, kind, and quick with communication which made it so easy to settle in. They have a very well maintained and beautiful dirt road leading to the camp site, but do go slow. The views from the pergola were absolutely STUNNING, we couldn't help but unwind out surrounded by nature enjoying the birds singing and the gentle sounds from the river. The pergola itself was absolutely gorgeous, they truly thought of everything to make this the most amazing retreat from busy day to day life! This wasn't just an amazing get away for the adults either, the kids had an absolute BLAST playing in the river, gold panning, exploring and more. I do suggest bringing water shoes if you're planning on going up the river as there are sharp rocks and definitely don't forget sunscreen! This truly couldn't have been a better getaway for us all, we are definitely coming back and I'll be recommending it to anyone who will listen!

Camping here was very relaxing and a much needed for a Thursday-Saturday stay. The directions were very detailed and communication with Mona was superb. It was such a huge help as I was setting up tent/camp in the dark. I regret not taking my SUP board but hope to visit again soon and will take advantage of the river while it’s still in season. I would definitely recommend.

Many travelers stop here on their way to the national parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia). We are also close to hiking trails, lakes, Sierra mountains, wineries, farmers' markets, and casinos. When you arrive, you will see our four alpacas in their pen. We have designated spots for Tent camping, although if you'd like another spot let us know. Each site is listed separately. We are listed on other platforms, so there may be other guests here. Marta also has a she shop if you are interested in refurbished items or alpaca products. We are not a day camp, so if you stay a few nights, we expect you will be out most of the day. You may hear coyotes at night, and see lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. Be careful of squirrel holes. There are wonderful views down into the valley with off-the-chain sunsets and city lights twinkling in the valley distance! Come get away from it all and enjoy the wonderful beauty and quiet serenity of mother nature in the South West Sierras at Sequoia Mountain Farms!!! Welcome Hipcampers! PLEASE read all of the below before booking and screenshot/print the directions below. Please note we have different site types with different prices and capacities. Choose the type that's best for your group. We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any! Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge! ARRIVAL: THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE: RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp. MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2 LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or approch the house. DIRECTIONS: If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's) Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground. Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up! Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction). From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left. Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!). Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES. Please take note of the posted pics from directly across the street facing what you will see when you get here. PLEASE CHECK THE WEATHER: If you ask us about weather, were just going to have to look online too, so please be sure to check it yourself prior to your trip, before asking us to do it for you. Just know we are operating under the assumption that you are aware of the conditions and are prepared for them. If nature happens message us and we will do our best to assist! The is a WiFi network available but coverage is weak. Deer and turkey sightings occur frequently, and hiking trails are located on this 10-acre wooded property. Two seasonal creeks also located on the property which are typically flowing until early June. There is also an Airbnb cabin located on this wooded property about 100 yards uphill from the camp. The site is centrally located about between Oakhurst and Bass Lake about 10 to 15 minutes away from either location. The south entrance of Yosemite National Park is about 25 minutes away.

Learn more about this land: River status: Swimmable but stopped flowing as of 6/28 Camp on our small piece of paradise located near Yosemite. We are a family of 5 (me, my husband, our two toddlers and our dog, River) living on 5 acres of mountain land in the foothills of the Sierras complete with an outdoor shower and bath and also flowing (seasonal) stream that you can swim in. Feel free to wander around the property on a few of our trails or just chill by the water and enjoy the magic of the mountains. Our property is about a 45 min drive to the Yosemite entrance. Dogs are more than welcome as long as they are ok with our dog wandering around. He’s super sweet loves everybody.
