We had a great time at Wendy & Hudson’s cabin. The view of the waterfall from the deck was one of our favorite parts. In close second were the sunset views over the boulder. I had been looking for something that was secluded and private, and we got just that!! Parking down the driveway can be a bit tricky and getting down to the shower/bathroom is a bit aways, but all in all it was absolutely worth it! We came near the new moon and got to enjoy the stars each night, which was quite a treat. It’s about 1.5 hour drive from the center of Yosemite, but there are also lots of nature spots to checkout nearby too. I’d definitely recommend Wild Fig in Coarsegold for brunch or lunch and Clouds Rest Coffee in Oakhurst. A special shoutout to Wendy who was an incredible host and just an all around lovely person. We’d definitely come back here and I’d love to camp at the second site on their property!

Weekend Trip to River Bluff Retreat

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Getaway! This campsite was everything we hoped for and more! It was peaceful, absolutely beautiful, and incredibly private—the perfect place to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature. The entire experience felt enlightening and refreshing. The RV was extremely comfortable and homey, with cozy touches that made it feel like a true retreat. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil we could’ve possibly needed, which made cooking super easy and enjoyable. The views were breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the best parts was being able to hike along the river and explore nature without seeing another person—just pure tranquility and wide-open space. Other things we loved: ✅ Super clean and well-maintained space ✅ Thoughtful host who clearly care about the guest experience ✅ Perfect balance of comfort and “outdoor adventure” ✅ A hidden gem that feels private but still safe and welcoming If you’re looking for a beautiful, serene escape where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy nature in complete privacy, this is the place. From the beginning the host was really answering all my questions about the land… this place is a gem, we celebrate my friend birthday and we got an amazing time. We found everything we need there! The river was a plus. Definitely we would love to comeback.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

Loved the small cabin. Very quiet, its got a call breeze coming in all directions, and a loud sound of the small creek waterfall. The bed is so comfortable, and relaxing. Small porta is good, and the shared bathroom at the main house is clean with hot water, its a win-win with a good price.

Weekend Trip to The Mountain Chapel Campground

The Mountain Chapel Campground was fantastic! I stayed at the Rustic Cabin. It was very simple, but great. No frills but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, clean linens, a couple chairs, a table, shelves, a desk. Close enough to walk along a well-lit path to the nice tile showers with hot water. I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Highland Camp

Our family absolutely loved this area! Great location! The camp was very well maintained and thought out. You can feel the love they have put into this property. The cabins were great and had everything we needed for our family of four. The kids (4&8) loved seeing the wild quail coveys, the star gazing nets and the sunset swing! The owners and camp host were very kind with wonderful communication. Both taking extra time to answer my questions about the land, property, buildings and a neighboring forest fire. We felt very comfortable and safe!!!

Weekend Trip to Yosemite Area Cabin The Bears' Den

Melissa was a wonderful Host! She was very responsive and receptive to any questions my friends and I had about the cabin and Bass Lake nearby. She even offered plenty of advice and tips for things to do. The cabin had plenty of accommodations: plenty of seats for meals, a full kitchen with plenty of dishes and cups, extra beach towels and the like for use when going to Bass Lake. I also thoroughly enjoyed the bear-themed decor all over the cabin. Truly the Bears' Den!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

This was the perfect tiny cabin for access to Bass lake and parts of Yosemite. Literally minutes from Bass like and surrounding hikes. Highly recommend Angel Falls, especially during the summer heat. Cabin will be very comfy year round with the excellent little heater/AC unit, but when possible, I highly recommend falling asleep to the waterfall ambiance with the windows open. The little deck table is perfectly positioned for privacy and a view of the waterfall, well thought out design. Parking in front of the cabin is down a pretty steep decline, so having AWD or 4WD is helpful, otherwise you should back-in and use a bit of momentum to get up the slope. There is also room to park on the side of the road and just walk down to the cabin if needed. Would like to use the campfire ring behind the cabin next time outside of fire season.

2 nights at Sequoia Highland Camp

We stayed here for our mini-moon and overall had a memorable and peaceful experience! The campground has a charming, rustic vibe and is tucked away in nature. It is the perfect for a quiet getaway. Wildlife is definitely active here! A bat managed to find its way into our cabin! Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and were able to move us to a different cabin that was bat-free. Sunset Point is absolutely gorgeous, and the swing overlooking the view was chef’s kiss. The cabins are cozy, but just a heads-up: there’s no air conditioning. Even with all the windows open, it got pretty warm inside. Thankfully, there was a fan in the cabin, and we brought an extra one from home which helped a lot. One suggestion for future stays, I wish the cabin patios had lounge chairs. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings more comfortably. I’ll definitely be packing a couple of my own next time!
