I’ve had the pleasure to be the “caretaker” of this special land once inhabited by the Maidu Indians for the past 43 years. This is SPECIAL ground here and I’m sure you will feel the MAGIC!!!
This 40 acres sits on the Yuba River Ridgetop. At the "Platform of Pleasure" you will enjoy 100,000+ acre views of protected land looking North to the High Sierra, minutes away from downtown Nevada City and 15 miles from Yuba River Trailheads.
Firewood bundles are $15 per bundle, about 2+hours of burn time. (when campfires 🔥 are allowed).
There is a $15.00 dog fee per dog/per stay. You can add the dog fee to your booking or pay cash when you arrive.
On our property like anywhere in the woods
there are mosquitos, so you should bring bug spray.
We offer a tent platform, as well as a Serenity Cabin.
Guests love staying here: "From the moment we arrived Chris was nothing but amazing. He helped us get settled in and even recommended some beautiful spots to hike/sight see. They are both so generous! The campsite beautiful and they did a very nice job supplying us with any materials we may need. Definitely coming back during the summer!"

Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the popular public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not.
We have 2 SUP boards, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces.
ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART
No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed.
Dogs are allowed and we do have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's.
Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is some small firewood onsite, and if you need more you can purchase nearby at Almanor Landscape Supply or bring your own.
The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! We hope you enjoy your stay!
**Please understand, if you private message us asking to pay us directly to avoid the HIPCAMP fees, the answer will be a resounding NO! This is the platform we have chosen for our beach rental and we are not willing to skirt around it. Thank you for your understanding. :)

Renee's place was so peaceful and beautiful. The morning sun rising thru the trees created a wonderful place to sit and relax. Her trailer was cozy and well equipped. She generously provided so many things that made being there and cooking easy. Lots of spices, butter, oil, fresh fruit and treats. She really went above and beyond. The bed was very comfortable also. Renee was very friendly and let us know of local events going on. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Renee.

Our second visit and the accommodations were even nicer than last. We enjoyed viewing the rural landscape from the cozy bed. The room had everything we needed including coffee, mugs, and a microwave. The town of Lincoln is slow paced and friendly. A soak in the hot tub was so relaxing. Great weekend getaway.

Very private and peaceful. Renee is a fabulous host she even provided my dog with baked treat and made us feel very welcomed. There's a nice ladybug trail just out back that is worth exploring! It was unfortunate that rain hit during our time here so outdoor activities were limited, but we hope to come back again soon!

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The sweeping views and gentle quiet made it feel like a hidden retreat, yet it’s only about 11 minutes from the charming streets of Nevada City.
Our hosts, Chris and Rebecca, were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Saturday morning, our car key’s remote battery unexpectedly died. Instead of having to call an Uber or drive into town for a replacement, they cheerfully produced a spare battery—turning what could have been a stressful moment into a reminder of their thoughtful hospitality.
It’s rare to find a spot that combines natural beauty, convenience, and hosts who genuinely care, but this place has all three. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and their thoughtfulness truly made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

Everything they say about this spot is true. My dog and I enjoyed our time at Renee’s. The trailer was as comfortable as a trailer can be. Everything was clean and well stocked.
The property is very well kept, beautiful, and conveniently located to the where I keep my heart. Renee is a kind and thoughtful host.

We absolutely loved camping on Renée’s land, in her beautifully appointed trailer. The nearby town of Nevada City is walkable or a 5 minute drive. We spent most of our time relaxing by the trailer and enjoying the beauty and quiet. Renée had left a basket of fresh vegetables which we so appreciated. You won’t miss not being able to have a campfire; the night sky is brilliant with stars. We wanted for nothing, the nice hot outdoor shower was lovely as well. We plan to definitely return

Chris & Rebecca’s place is perhaps the quietest camp I have ever stayed at. No noise other than nature, no lights in the near valley. Just leaning on the chair at the deck of their “Platform of Pleasure” cabin while taking in the breathtaking view was an experience worth savoring for hours in the sunset time… Our dog was also in heaven, with so much land to trot across. Chris & Rebecca were also super attentive and generous hosts. Highly recommended… We are definitely coming back!

This place is amazing. The view is breathtaking, that’s an understatement. We spent hours watching the view, the sunset and sleeping under the stars.
Chris and Rebecca were so welcoming and kind. They gave us a tour of their beautiful space and helped us move our equipment to the space. They sent me a great curated list of hikes and places to visit during our stay and the two we were able to squeeze in were INCREDIBLE.
The platform is better than we could have imagined. The perfect place for us. Private, and spacious. Well equipped with lighting, a gas grill, tables, chairs and a cozy bed with an indescribably beautiful view. The facilities felt well maintained and clean. The features are well thought through and allow us to set up quickly and focus on our vacation.
Chris and Rebecca have built something really special out there. I have been to this area quite a few times, but this beautiful property gave me a new perspective on the place.
We’re already planning our next trip.

We just wanted to disconnect from the world, so we weren't expecting to do much this trip. Renee was amazing. We had some fun adventures thanks to her recommendations. Panned some gold from the river as a nifty souvenir. And it was great to come back to a quiet cozy spot to wind down the day.
This was also our first trip with our anxious pittie and Renee was super understanding. She gave us a lot of privacy, but she was attentive and surprisingly quick to respond when needed.
She had an awesome garden basket to welcome us and literally anything we could have needed in the kitchen.
Bring CDs to play music in the RV and highly recommend the Nisenan Tribute Bridge for beautiful forest views.
