Hello all! If you're looking for some glamping with creature comforts, while just being 10 minutes away from restaurants. This is the place for you. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks.
There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding.
THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5!
Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger.

This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area.

This campground just god a major uplift. This used to be called Feel Good Camp and now we dedicate it to the natural green building and clean living. There were many beautiful hands put their energies into each cobbin here and we built it with Love, charities and your comfort in mind!
We made our decision based on our love to create an inspiration for arts and creating beautiful buildings using materials that you can find around you such as pallets, clay, sands, straws, etc. Everything is made out of non toxic materials, we even made our own paint out of cooking flours!
Being inside these cob buildings feels like being in the womb of Mother Earth: the scent, the calm, the grounding, etc. The woods come from one of our properties and we milled them ourselves. We upcycle almost everything: The tree barks, the branches, even the furnitures were secured from non-profit organizations. We'd like you to come to be inspired! One of the buildings is there as a demonstration site till its done and we'll have the cob builder to be there to show you around. Cob working party is held by a master cob builder.
We made your Camping and Glamping experience easy. We provide clean showers, restrooms, toilet paper, paper towels, barbecue, fridge, freezer, popcorn kettles, , utensils, plates, bowls, mugs, coffee maker, pots and pans, cutleries, etc. Yes, there is hot water as well with no coins needed.
The campground is located in a serene oak grove area of the property. Its a peaceful getaway with an abundance of bird varieties and occasional wild turkeys passing through. Take a stroll around our 5-acre property and catch a breathtaking sunset from the hillside.
The amenities are: Outdoor kitchen, 2 fire pits, outdoor showers and bathrooms, electricity in each cobin, Board games, Yard Games, dog park and an outdoor library for little ones to grown ups. In Winter 2026 we'll add sauna and outdoor tubs for warm winter experience.
Your parking spot is within a very short walking distance and there are wagons for you to use to haul your belongings to your camp site.

Experience 3 campsites: Tent Spot (#1) 10'x10', Tent Spot (#2) 8'x8' or an onsite Bell tent complete with carpeted padded flooring, camp lights, shelving, 2 bed frames each with a memory foam mattress plus bedding.
All sites have shaded areas, and picnic tables. *A shower and a compost toilet are available for use to all campers.
Enjoy a designated smoking/vaping spot, multiple benches, swings, a "grounding" spot, birding, water fountains and art.
A no noise policy by the county occurs at 9 pm. Due to a high risk fire zone, no open fires (small camp stoves are ok). Due to the proximity of the tents right next to Vega Rd, sounds from vehicles can be heard. We are situated in a rural neighborhood setting, with sounds of sheep, goats, chickens, wild turkeys, dogs and many birds nestled between both counties. The terrain is hilly with a few gopher holes. Staying on paths limits poison oak exposure. While respecting your privacy, we can be seen improving the property.
*For precautionary measures, we ask that you sign our waiver within 12 hours after you book your reservation. "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY IF YOU DO NOT SIGN THE WAIVER."
Vega Vortex has been called a Park and Machu Picchu due to the amphitheater landscaping of terracing. We are living our dream after recently finding and purchasing this beautiful 10 acre parcel, one of the sunniest in the canyon with a bucolic creek that flows all year.
See Canyon itself is a special place. Home to a multitude of birds and
wildlife, a beautiful scenic winding road, lush landscaping and a host of apple orchards.
Thanks to the micro climate we have here, we grow some of the best apples and stone fruit in the country. The coastal canyon is just a short distance to the beach and 15 minutes into town but feels like a world away when you are here.
The star gazing is incredible as the canyon walls block the light pollution and the milky way shines!
Welcome to our little slice of 10 acre heaven in the Canyon! Just bring yourself and we have everything else!! Nestle up in the Cozy Gnome Home, a 1967 vintage trailer and listen to the symphony of frogs in the creek just outside your window.
With love and labor... we gutted, redesigned and restored this little trailer for the ultimate functioning space for two. Detailed with a nice little kitchen with copper counters and everything you need for cooking and dining.
A Berkey filter for clean water, hardwood floors and a comfy bed complete with organic latex mattress, down comforter and cotton sheets.
Fold out dining table if you care to (or need to) eat indoors.
There is also an outdoor kitchen space with a sink (no hot water), gas grill (upon request), propane burner (bring your own small canister) and a patio table and chairs. We have a charcoal grill available too.
The creek runs mostly year round so feel free to get your feet wet on a hot sunny day.
We also have an outdoor warm shower and sink as well.
You are welcome to cruise the property and check out the chickens, ducks, goats and horses.
We have three dogs on the ranch, a curious and playful ranch dog Pluto (who will be your tour guide), a Boston Bulldogge, Astrid and our newest pup, an American Hairless Terrier, Cozmo, silly little guy :)
We are surrounded by orchards which have some of the best apples and pears in the country.
Seasonally you can stop by many apple markets and do a tasting. We also have a lively wine tasting venue less than a mile away.

1 night at Yurt In The Redwoods
This was my and my husband's first time trying hipcamp I have to say this was a wonderful first experience, we really loved the Yurt and how incredibly peaceful the location is. We were only able to stay for one night but the loved the setup of the yurt, everything is so thoughtful and cozy and the quiet is exactly the relaxing getaway we needed. Thank you Bridgette and Curtis for hosting us, we will definitely be back someday.

Weekend Trip to Fern Ridge Camper
Matt was very responsive throughout our one night stay at the camper. My sister and I shared the space during our trip this summer and it was just what we needed! The fire was very nice and convenience to use right outside the camper. Would recommend for anyone looking for a simple, unique stay!

To our new friends Thaddeus and Mona,
We wanted to write and thank you both for being such great hosts at your camping ground and for making our glamping site so special and unique this weekend.
The place is full of warmth, creativity, and relaxation, and we truly could not have asked for more. All of the details were wonderful, and having a breakfast where we were able to eat and indulge with your own grown produce was incredible.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
Had a really magical experience at Vaza and Ludo’s place! The glamping tent was spacious and comfortable, the land was well maintained and the amenities were perfect for a relaxing weekend away from the city. Vaza especially made me feel really welcomed and was excited to hear about my plans while I was visiting. Really felt like home away from home. I would love to come back again sometime!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
We had an amazing time at the Sky View cabana! The hosts were so welcoming and sweet. The grill we used was brand new and the hammocks at our site were perfect. We took a wonderful walk to the nearby winery and enjoyed seeing all of the July 4th fireworks from our awesome view from the loft bed. A peaceful and healing oasis. Would return for sure!!

We loved hiking around the property. We saw all kinds of critters - deer, bobcats, owls, and woodpeckers! The views from the rustic hot tub are incredible. The kitchen is well designed and stocked with cookware. We will definitely be returning asap! :)

2 nights at Double Bear
We had a wonderful stay at Double Bear with our two children and couldn't have asked for a better family camping experience. The host has designed the property very thoughtfully, with everything laid out to make guests feel comfortable and welcome.
The campsite is perfect for families. There was plenty of space for the kids to explore, relax, and enjoy nature, while the shared areas made it easy to connect with other campers. We actually ended up making new friends with another family during our stay, which made the experience even more memorable.
The amenities were well maintained, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a fun, peaceful, and inviting place. Whether you're bringing a group of friends or looking for a family getaway, this is a fantastic spot.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and family-friendly camping experience!

2 nights at Saddle Mountain Carmel
We tried a glamping tent first, which was great. We came back and stayed in a walk-in tent site what was amazing! Highly recommended! We will be back again.
Sites are private, bathrooms are cleaned regularly, showers are hot. There is a pool and the view is amazing! Duraflame campfires allowed, but no wood.

This is by far one of the most magical and memorable nights on our trip. What Yeyen and Farbod have done together is nothing short of remarkable! Creating a hillside where both privacy or human connection are paramount - and people can camp so comfortably, either in a tent or in a cob cabin nestled into the side of the slope. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of the facilities is astounding. And the owners are lovely and generous. Here, the Gods must be happy!

We had a wonderful stay at Gillespie lodge! The central location makes this camp ideal for coastal adventures. It had plenty of space for our family with three bedrooms, and everything was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was very clean and, while it had minimal supplies, it had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The bathrooms were thoughtfully laid out and worked well for our group.
The beds varied a bit in comfort, but everyone slept well and they were all comfortably adequate.
This was our third stay here, and Joyce was just as welcoming and kind as always. She is a wonderful host and always makes us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this lodge!

Enjoyed our stay here! Parking is accessible and just steps away from the actual site. The camper is super cozy and stocked basic essentials. The eucalyptus spray was clutch to keep mosquitoes at bay.

Gene’s property is so incredible! We loved dipping in the creek and the short walk to the beach which seemed really private, and the communal kitchen and the shower area really stood out to us. The cabana felt private and tucked away which I really enjoyed, there were several other groups around during our stay but it never felt crowded and we had no problems using the listed amenities. I thought I’d be comfortable using the composting toilets but now I know for the future it’s not something that is very easy for me, we ended up visiting the bathroom on the beach a lot so I’m glad that’s an option. The cabana isn’t screened in so we had a lot of insect visitors, definitely something to note if you’re not comfortable with spiders and bugs! The bed was pretty comfortable and there’s a hammock right next to the cabana that was nice to lay in. I was really happy with our stay overall, Gene and his family we’re so sweet and helpful if you have any questions, but generally left us alone and we only saw them a few times during our stay. I’d love to come back another time! It was really romantic, I’d try tent camping next time with a larger group.

We stayed in flood #5, the grounds were beautiful, the pool was closed when we arrived so the host opened it and even extended the time by an hour for the inconvenience! Our cabin was spacious and clean, they even provided a little space heater. The manager was very friendly and helpful, we are planning to come back every year !

We were fortunate to reserve all of Double Bear’s yurts for the weekend. The drive there was a bit of an adventure, as the last mile is mostly a dirt and gravel road. Personally, I found it fun and added to the experience.
Once you arrive at Double Bear, you're in for a treat. The yurts are clean, spacious, and cozy. There's plenty of firewood to keep you warm inside the yurts and for the communal fire pit, which we had all to ourselves.
The kitchen and dining area is huge and fully stocked with bottled water and just about everything you could need.
The bathrooms and showers are stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It really isn't much different from some of the higher-end glamping sites.
One thing we really appreciated was the reliable Starlink Wi-Fi, which was available throughout the property. It was a nice bonus to have fast internet access while still enjoying the peaceful mountain setting.
There's also a hot tub that comfortably fits more than six people and offers a beautiful view of the mountains.
Most importantly, Mathilda, our host, was outstanding. Her communication was excellent from start to finish. She even stopped by the next day to make sure we were doing well and to see if we needed more coffee or anything else.
We can't wait to come back and spend more time at Double Bear!

Weekend Trip to Yurt In The Redwoods
Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful yurt. It’s so peaceful and we enjoyed walking the property looking for banana slugs. Really enjoyed using the kitchen which was fully stocked and the hot shower was amazing as well. This yurt is located within 20-45 min to many beaches, state parks, and restaurants! Bridgette and Curtis are kind and welcoming too!

This was the perfect site for a glamp away from the city! Every little detail was perfectly thought through. The cabin was comfortable, the view was fantastic, and Vaza and Yoko offered a great welcome to the space. Absolutely recommend.
