Great for groups!
We held our team offsite here and it was PERFECT! The lodge is impeccably decorated and fully stocked. We were pleasantly surprised by the AC. The deck is perfect for big groups to sit out on - the string lights are magical. The property itself is in a perfect location if you're visiting Paso Robles - 10 mins from the square and so many wineries along the way. We can't wait to come back.

Hidden Gem in Paso Robles
This airstream is awesome! It's really quiet at night with a private seating area. Though it was hot during the day, I left the windows open and it was cold at night / great for sleeping. Overall, the property is in a great location - 10 mins from Paso Robles, wineries everywhere along the way. Dana and Jason are super accommodating and nice hosts. I'll be back!

Outdoor lover's getaway
My wife and I booked a spot for our anniversary and we must say that it was a very nice getaway. We had our own trailer however we took advantage of clean, easy access showers and toilets just a short walk from our camp. Also, there is a rustic bar/ outdoor lounge perfect for just relaxing under the stars. The hosts were great and it seems they are working hard to make your accommodations even better. They also provided suggestions for things to do during your stay. We took advantage of some horseback riding through a local trail riding business through rolling hills, oak trees and vast wineries. I almost forgot to add, we were visited by deer early morning and heard bull elk calling! Memorable trip packed into a short weekend

The RV was cute however, as soon as you get close to the location there is no network at all. The host didnt come to meet us at all. I have stayed in a lot of hipcamps and the hosts have always dropped by to say hi. We had an emergency at night and needed medication so we didnt even know which house was the host's as all the pharmacies were closed. We had to drive out 7 minutes to find network. The AC worked but no cool air. The dishes were dirty as if previously used and not clean.

Camp under the oaks
My family really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights. Convenient location close to lake and winery fun. Clean and private bathrooms. The hot shower was great to get off all the lake grime and dirt. Don't miss the hike to the top of the ridge. We took our dinner up there one evening and had a pleasant sunset dinner. Dana - our host - communicated clearly from the moment we made our reservation.

Mixed Bag
So we are big HipCamp fans and use the platform often; mostly with great experiences. This was not so great. A few minor things: hot water was intermittent, eggs and muffins were never delivered and promised refund for these non-deliveries has yet to be applied; zero shade during the day; and there is a rental home just a few yards from the camp site, so basically not much privacy. Larger issue: 30 amp is NOT a dedicated line so if you want to run your AC at 80 degrees or above, you’ll trip their breaker. We left for an overnight to Cambria, leaving the AC at 80. Because they have 2 refrigerators in the nearby bar running on the same line, the breaker shut off and so did our AC. We came back to a 99 degree trailer. Our backup generator couldn’t cool it down below 96, so we packed up and left a day early. The host was upset with us for leaving our AC on, but an 80 degree setting seems reasonable to prevent heat damage to our trailer. In the future, I will check to make sure the 30 amp is a dedicated line (particularly in warmer weather); and, if leaving for an overnight, confirm with the host that a higher temp AC setting (like 80) is acceptable. On the plus side: great hilltop views, allowed to use shower in rental home when hot water wasn’t available, and good location just outside of PR.

I would love to come back and would recommend this campsite to friends and family. The host left detailed instructions with pictures included. Was kind and friendly at arrival and departure. I drive a 2WD Toyota Corolla Hatchback and had no issues. The showers and restroom were very clean and having electric plug ins was a great bonus.
Chic Safari Tent in Private Meadow
Overall a fun and memorial time spent here. I would definitely recommend an all wheel drive to get to the spot. When we arrived, there was no compost bathroom that was mentioned in the listing. The only bathroom (& shower) was all the way at the bottom of the hill but you’ll have to drive there. You can walk but it’ll take a good 15 mins.

Great stay at Dana’s!
My partner and I had a really pleasant stay - our only wish is that we had been able to stay longer. She was super communicative and the campsite was perfect. We hope to be back in the future!

Hidden gem outside Paso!
Dana’s spot was such a lovely gem! The Airstream had all the amenities and was just cute as a button! Bring drinking water tho- well water does have a sulphur smell. But the little patio deck and fairy lights were magical and perfect to hang out in the cool summer night breeze. Definitely take Dana up on the muffin extra- it was a perfect way to start our morning!

This was my first time ever petting donkeys, they're adorable! We also enjoyed our morning hike, the views are expansive on both sides of the mountain, and there is a good amount of shade. The restrooms were clean and well maintained, close to the site, but not too close. I grew up on well water, so I know that a bit of sulfur smell is pretty typical on well water.

Very beautiful airstream, the field mice got a little adventurous during our stay so definitely put your food somewhere where they can’t get to it.

Great location, great facilities. We had a great time. You should know because of fire restrictions you need to bring a propane tank if you want a fire pit.

get the muffins
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Dana's place. The camp is spacious and well appointed with picnic table, chairs and propane firepit. There are solar lights which keep the place reasonably well lit at night. There are clean restrooms nearby and a hot outdoor shower. There is an indoor shower as well but wife reported it was cold water only. There was an electrical outlet we used to top off and maintain our trailer battery. The space is located on a working ranch with chickens, goats, donkeys and maybe some other critters.
We opted in for the house made muffins and local coffee. Very tasty and not to be missed. Dana brought by a fruit reduction to cover the muffins with. Heaven!

Cute trailer, clean and well equipped. Fun surroundings not far from town. Dana let us plug in our car to charge overnight as well which was an amazing bonus!
Some downsides; the sulfur smell from the bathroom was incredibly rough. We only stayed one night, and I believe the other reviews when they say that it may have subsided over a few days, but for us on arrival, I didn’t even want to shower because it was so potent. I don’t believe the sulfur would be a showstopper for everyone, but I would like to see it on the description rather than needing to dig into the reviews.
Also, access was confusing. We received very specific directions which was great, however when we got to the gate, the two different codes we received were both not the way to get in. Somehow just pressing one button seemed to open the electric gate, but this was made even more confusing because there were two four digit codes, so entering those codes would tell the gate to open, close, open, close, leaving us at a motionless gate. It took some debugging but we finally got in. The directions after that were clear and easy to follow.
The site is in a great spot, cute, well kept And the host is responsive and friendly. My only suggestion is that the listing and instructions get updated to be more descriptive/accurate.
Would recommend, as long as you aren’t bothered by sulfur

We had a wonderful time at Dana's campsite! She was such a great host and brought us extra eggs that the chickens had laid that morning. Beautiful property everything was clean and in good shape. Particularly enjoyed the propane fire pit which was available to us because the burn ban was in effect for wood fires. They are building an outdoor wine bar and that area is looking really cool, I can't wait to check it out when it's finished. The bathroom facilities were impressive, spotlessly clean modern and pleasant to use, I would definitely stay here again. Also a very dog friendly property my pups had a great time

This was a very enjoyable place to stay while in Paso! Definitely as advertised: cute, outdoorsy and well kept.
It was a great balance between the feel of camping but with the amenities of an indoor stay: real bed, toilet, sinks/shower with hot water, kitchenette with appliances and dishes. Nice sitting areas inside and a lot of character in the place!
However if you are expecting a hotel experience, be advised this is a little more rugged. Some nature-y things to be aware of: woodpeckers early in the morning, bugs that can get inside, and we did spy some mouse droppings inside but never saw or heard any little guys.
The picnic area outside the Airstream was very cute with some great lighting, comfy Adirondack chairs for 2, a standard fire pit as well as a propane one. We brought a propane tank from home, but then found out the fire ban had been lifted right before we got there so we had our choice!
Our host, Dana, was great with communication ahead of time about directions, activities we could do on the property and tons of recommendations for places to go in town. It was nice to meet her while we were there, she was charming and fun to chat with. She clued us in on how to hike up the hill to get a 360 view of the whole valley where we caught an AMAZING sunset.
I would definitely recommend this as a unique spot to book for 1 or 2 looking for a cute ‘glamping’ experience in Paso!

Nice way to get out of town, into the country, and close to some of the outer rim of the wine country. The animals are fun, my daughter loves hanging out with Lucy and Desi, (the donkeys) and was thrilled when we collected a few eggs.
The hosts are lovely, and the AirStream was clean, comfortable and spacious. It cooled down fast too, and it was a hot day!

A beautiful and unique stay!
Really enjoyd our stay here. The location was gorgeous and perfect for wine tasting in Paso. The scenery was peaceful and the views were spectacular! We considered this a semi-rugged glamping trip and brought our camping stove to cook outside. The inside is good for washing dishes, bathroom and shower facilities and hanging out during meals. The screens on the windows do have some holes so bugs are inevitable and I don't mind that so much. I wasn't super happy finding mouse droppings on the bedding and pillows. We had our dog along so we felt like she'd scare off any critters, but if I came back I'd bring my own bedding along.
