There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.
The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer
The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property.
There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.

Camping here is low activity experience as in there is hiking up in the National Forest or just hanging out in your camp site, or bring your camera, notebook and binoculars, or road bike.
When you come to camp here you are on a farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

Bright Bear Camp is a private two-acre property bordering Tahoe National Forest. We are located at 4300' elevation down a mostly dirt road along the beautiful Bear River and Bear Valley. This is a very peaceful spot among the trees with a small meadow and creek on the property.

Absolutely awesome host and site. The neighborhood is quiet and the site is pretty level. The sauna is really nice and access to the laundry is a great bonus. The host is super communicative and really nice. The only "downside" is no sewer hookups but there is a dump site only 4 miles away at Inn Town Campground, so it's not a huge deal. I truly fell in love with this place!

Brian is such a great host! He met us at our campsite and made sure we knew where everything was and gave us recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We drove twelve mile's to the Avenue of the Giants one day and around 40 miles to Shelter Cove. Both were great! I would highly recommend Shelter Cove for the black sand beach and seal and sea lion watching. The camp ground is very well kept with a porta potty and hot shower. We sat outside in the evening and watched deer and wild turkeys nearby. Very peaceful and quiet at night. Thanks Brian for your hospitality. This might be our favorite Hipcamp yet!

Really great peaceful spot in the forest, with an incredible gazebo with string lighting to hang out under. As long as you have the right rig (there are sewer and electric hookups but no toilets!) and can bring in your own water, this is a good place to escape. The property is very well maintained. And it’s a short drive from town, hikes, and lakes. It’s on a residential road but I only saw a couple of cars pass per day because it’s pretty far back.

The site was very easy to find. The facilities were spotless and well thought out. It was wonderfully quiet, and we enjoyed a very good night's sleep under the trees. The fairy lights around the campsite were a very nice touch - made it seem rather magical. Kelley greeted us when we arrived, showed us our pitch, and gave us a tour of the amenities. She was very helpful and great to chat with. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

This is a beautifully improved campsite set in cedar and fir forest. There was no traffic on the road at night and farm livestock noise was far enough away to be soothing. There is easy access to the Lakes Basin area where we spent our time.

My husband and I camped out here (slept in the bed of my truck) and loved it! It's an easy drive/walk to Nevada City and attractions in the area. While other campers were near-ish to us, we barely heard them. We stayed over July 4th weekend, but with the seclusion of the property location, you wouldn't have known. There are two toilets, a kitchen area, and a shower; all of which were much more luxurious than we are used to. The hot shower felt amazing after a day of hiking. The owners are wonderful and made sure we settled in ok (without intruding). There is working wifi too for those who desire it. We look forward to returning!

My husband and I loved our stay here. The property is full of character and is very beautiful. Easy walking trails, ponds, horses, ropes courses, basketball and volleyball court’s, and amazing star gazing. Bathrooms were very clean. Spots came with a large picnic table. We rented a fire pit from the hosts and they delivered it right to our camp site. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I car camped on Kelley's land and could not have asked for a better host. She greeted me when I arrived, showed me the lay of the land, and explained how to use everything. She was always available to help with anything. Her land is quiet and peaceful....making for a really great stay. if you're in the area and looking for a place to camp, book this site, you will love it...plus, the outdoor shower is an added bonus, the hot water mixed with the cool air makes for a crisp and refreshing way to start the day!

The Sage spot at Loren and Steve's property near Nevada City is one of those rare finds that earns every star. The setting is stunning, the parking pad perfectly level for a rooftop tent, and the canal-side hiking is the kind of thing you don't expect to stumble into. Bathrooms and showers are well kept, the property is easy to find, and the hosts were kind and communicative throughout. We'll be back.
