What a find! Beautiful setting, fun things to explore around the property and surrounding area. Russell was a wonderful host and my grandspn and I would return in a heartbeat. Great location for sand dines, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon North Rim. Great water pressure and temp, firepit, inside 2 burners, sink, fancy convection oven, fridge. Comfy beds, heat, AC. Fantastic views. Fenced yard and dog door!

2 nights at Sacred Springs

Everything at Sacred Springs is incredible, from the views to the bathrooms, to the AC in the community room, to Gary and Daren themselves. I felt so comfortable and safe here, I can’t compliment them enough for having such a warm and inviting energy. The solar shower is so cool and the trails they made for guests are so peaceful. During my visit I got the pleasure of meeting their adorable chickens, and spending lots of time down at the creek. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

This place is magical! If you’re hesitant about booking it just go for it! It has everything you need, the host can even set the tent up for you (for an extra charge), there is a little kitchen with everything you need, the bathrooms are extra clean and the outdoor shower is a plus! We also tried the fresh eggs and cooked them on site for our breakfast. The place is quiet and very well maintained, the creek is beautiful and the owners even provide you with some paddle boards and kayaks. We will definitely return!!

We had such a great time staying at Gary & Daren’s campground! They were incredibly kind and welcoming. You can really tell they’ve put so much heart and care into their place. The property and amenities are so thoughtfully set up. The community room was an awesome bonus, fully stocked with kitchen stuff, plus a Keurig with free coffee and tea. We especially loved the creek access and private swimming holes. It was amazing having SUPs, tubes, and kayaks already there and ready to go. It was perfect for our family. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second time staying in Anna. The facility is very clean and organized. The shower and bathroom has soap and shampoo, a nice touch. We enjoy the very many vultures circling to land and spend the night together in one tree. This location is within walkable distance to everything in town. This year we brought another couple to share this quiet gem. We hope to visit every spring.

2 nights at Sunrise camping

It is only 5 minutes from Monument Valley and one of the only campgrounds around that allows pets. They have fire pits and picnic tables, which are also not available at the main Monument Valley campground, plus food for sale if you're too tired to cook. They will bring the food right out to your tent. Great views of one of the mesas and a private walking trail. Adventure surrounded us: a tame horse on the property (we fed her some apples) and a 5-day-old baby horse still weaning (so cute). They were visited by a wild horse (possible father?) And they nuzzled through the fence. The wild horse played a game of chicken with our car (so exciting), we let him win. Coyotes sang us to sleep and the bright sun aroused us in the morning. Pit toilets and a propane shower in a wooden shed made you feel like a pioneer. The shower was cold, but they are working on fixing it. Ask chatGPT about the benefits of a cold shower it is actually very healthy. Showers were 5 dollars per person for two days, a steal when you consider all water has to be hauled in by truck. There are two adorable little dogs on the property. One is very mellow and just sort of sniffs around. Another is a guard dog. He might seem mean at first, but he doesn't bite; he just tries to shove you with his paws, which I found hilarious. We found some Navajo food at a local grocery store and cooked it over the fire, Lamb ribs and Ach'íí' (lamb fat wrapped with lamb intestines), delicious.

I loved staying at Shanti’s camp. It was quiet, clean, and calm. It was great to use the hot tub and the views are amazing.

Weekend Trip to Grand Canyon Oasis High Desert Camp

Nice little park close to Wupakti National Monument, Sunset Crater, the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. Quiet and clean. Right off the highway but the road noise was a non-issue for us. The dog park was a bit overgrown and the only real issue we had with the place was the stickers that got in our pups feet on a regular basis. Not sure how that can be rectified, certain areas are just prone to goats head weeds and other pokey weeds. There is an amazing walking path just outside the fence which was fabulous and went for miles, our fur babies could have walked for days and days into the National Forest! We would surely stay again and recommend it to friends or anyone passing through the area!

Weekend Trip to Grand Canyon Oasis High Desert Camp

We are new to Hipcamp. We are on our first long trip since retirement. We wanted to be near Flagstaff to be close to many places around Flagstaff that we wanted to see, so the Grand Canyon Oasis sounded inviting. Im not going to lie, it said just north of town… and it is… but leaving Flagstaff to the north on 89, we realized it was 24 miles out of town. Just north of town you crest a hill and see nothing but a vast landscape of beautiful high desert an a very long straight away downhill. No sign of civilization at all. So my wife and I are thinking hmmmm! Several miles later we come over a crest and see a couple buildings. Alas, we are here. After some looking we saw the path between the buildings to the campground, plenty of maneuvering room and well marked, we made our way to site #6. We face way from the highway giving us the most expansive view of high desert as far as the eye could see. Wonderful to see that. The campground only has about ten sites or so and many have tiny houses already set up for those without an RV. The campground was covered with 1/4” red lava rock. No mud, no potholes, all good. I’ll stay here again if I ever get back this way despite my initial thoughts. In fact we extended two more days! We day tripped to Sedona, Winslow, Prescott, and of course the big one, the Grand Canyon. The only downside to here would be that if you plan to imbibe in some drinks in town, this is not the place. Thumbs up from us!

Weekend Trip to Glamper Cabin in the Aspens & Pines

Couldn't ask for much better! This is the exact "cabin in the woods" experience we were seeking. It was super cozy, quiet, private, with nice hosts. We were able to meet them at check-in and they seemed great. They are very detailed in descriptions, answering any possible question one may have about staying here. I'd love to have a cabin of my own like this one day.

Sacred Springs is the perfect camping spot, minutes from Sedona. We brought our Winnebago View RV for the first night on our Arizona road trip and this place is amazing! Gary and Daren have designed each site with plenty of space and seating areas, and the community room has every amenity you need: coffee, tea, a hot plate, cookware, cutlery, a refrigerator for each campsite, gas grill and so much more! The property itself has luxurious bathrooms, a solar shower, and thoughtfully designed sitting areas dispersed throughout. Then there's the peaceful creek area, again with multiple places to sit and enjoy this beautiful area, plus kayaks, paddle boards and other fun water toys. We wish we'd planned more days here to take advantage of all this well-appointed property has to offer. Thank you Gary and Daren!

The wood stove kicks out a ton of heat to keep you toasty while you sip on steamy hot chocolate that is provided for your enjoyment. Gather around the propane operated firepit in the backyard for some R&R. Bring a hammock 'cuz there are unlimited opportunities for stringing one up! Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! What's even better is the property backs onto the National Forest, for unlimited enjoyment of nature. In the evening crack open a book, or start playing a game with your besties to close out a long day. The property is completely off the grid, making it very appealing to those travelers and adventurers who want to create a minimal carbon footprint on their vacation. The kitchen sink has a hand pump that draws water from under the sink from a 10 gallon water jug. You can refill the jug as needed from a hand pump located in the back yard. There is solar powered lighting and a USB phone charger station. There is no electrical power available. Cell service is available in the area depending on your carrier. The outdoor composting toilet is super clean with little or no odor. The cabin is located at 8200' in the San Francisco Peaks in the pines and aspens. Snowshoe or cross country ski, go sledding or snowmobiling, or just good old fashioned relaxation will make the time fly by. This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. I have WiFi and great cell service here. You must arrive by dark. My gates will be closed at dark. At night you will hear coyotes, you might see javilina. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. My place is 10 minutes from Coronado National Forest. The property is tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. You will see a lot of quail and other birds on the property. There are 2 varieties of quail who visit daily. Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Each tent, and/or a place where people sleep is a campsite....in other words you can't book 1 tent camping site and then add your friends who come in their vehicle and set up a campsite. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if you’re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800’ climb on a gravel road/trails to “Mexican Hat” for an even more incredible view! We are a 30 amp full hook up (sewer, water & electrical) for 33’ RV’s and living quarters horse trailers. You will also have access to our community laundry area, with a large garbage can to dump a bag if needed. Some suggestions for town; Grab some quick delicous breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too! We have two turnout pens for horses. That are located right behind where you will park your trailer. They both have a cover that provides some shade, as well as running water. We do not provide any feed, so please make sure you bring some! We ask that you please do not feed any horses that do not belong to you. Or go into any pen that your horse is not in. For safety and respect :) Thank you in advance. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"
