The gorgeous views are 360 degrees from the two dispersed campsites with amazing views of Monitor Rock and La Plata Peak along the Lake Creek. Two permanent fire rings are tucked up against the water. The stars at night are incredible. The gorgeous views are 360 degrees from the two dispersed campsites with amazing views of Monitor Rock and La Plata Peak along the Lake Creek. Two permanent fire rings are tucked up against the water. The stars at night are incredible. Location provides easy access to hiking two 14ers, climbing at Monitor Rock, and water sports at Twin Lakes. Aspen is about 30 miles West, up over Independence Pass, when the pass is open in the summer. To the East is Leadville and Buena Vista both are about 30 miles away.
The two tent sites are a short walk (~80 yards) from the gravel driveway. Site 1 can accommodate 1-2 small tents and site 2 is bigger can fit a very large tent and/or a few smaller tents. Vehicles cannot be driven all the way to the sites. Rooftop tents, small camper vans, or teardrop trailers can park in the driveway, but guests will need to book out both sites since they will block access to the other site. Happy Camping!

This camp site has everything you could need and want in a private property site. The views were amazing, it's nice and quite but easy to access. She goes above and beyond. We hope to be back soon!
I’d rather keep this spot to myself for future use, but… it’s an ideal Colorado campsite. Feels remote yet very accessible and was perfect for myself and my two teenage sons. Our tent was right on the river and we were surrounded by massive mountains and great woods. Perfect for both relaxing and exploring the river.
Absolutely gorgeous! Excellent communication and the amenities were great! Super great place for a private getaway!
Karen’s Land is stunning. The river is beautiful and the two sites are nestled right beside it with adequate distance in between. Both sites have well positioned metal fire rigs. Site 1 has the closest proximity to the incredible wooden deck over the river. Site #2 has quite a few posible tent sites. Honestly, I can’t wait to come back, rent both sites and have an amazing extended family camp. This land would be PERFECT.

Perfect spot...you will be so pleas
OMG...the camping spot is beyond beautiful.
It is everything you think camping should be. The water, trees, deck...even with having to haul your gear down...it took four trips for three of us...it was not that bad and totally worth it.

By far one of the most beautiful campsites I've had the opportunity to stay at. The fire pits located just next to the river are absolutely the best. I will be telling everyone I know about it! Love the location as well!
