We had a great time!! Definitely need a high clearance vehicle with AWD to get to the a frames, but the views are beautiful! Fun time for us and our dogs!

Great stay! Can hear the highway but easy to overlook as you are surrounded by great views and privacy from the trees. Outhouse was clean and regularly serviced. Highly recommend!

Memorial Weekend in A-Frame #1
Clear Creek Getaway is our new favorite escape! The camp is very thoughtfully designed, we really appreciated that the sites are spaced out/semi-private with the trees. A-Frame # 1 has a great view, we found ourselves sitting on the bench looking out into the mountains peacefully passing the time. The weather was great (end of May), the site gets a lot of hot sun and of course a bit cold at night but the A-Frame was well insulated and provided both a cool spot for the day and a cozy shelter for the night. Rick was very helpful and quick to respond to inquiries. We are already planning another stay in the stargazing globe!

A-frame # 4 Size 10x10’
I loved the view and listening to nature we saw a black bear in the distance. I was really impressed with the solar panel lights inside and outside. I thought I would have to depend on my flashlights a lot more. It did get cold but the a frame comes equipped with a propane heater on the inside and a grill with stove top on the outside. It worked really good for breakfast and shiskabobs.

Gold prospectors Camp
A great place to camp for some mountain biking in central city! We loved distances between the sites and made it up the road just fine in our suv.

Cute idea and well maintained. I wish the units were just a little bigger and the heater, while much appreciated, made the unit too hot even on 1 and with the window open. The interstate noise bothered me more than I thought it would during the day. At night it was just white noise. I didn’t have great weather either, which may be coloring my review a little bit. Definitely glad I wasn’t in a tent!!!
