This was one of the best campsites I’ve been to! The view is so beautiful. Photos don’t do it justice. It was also so nice to have a shower provided and water refill station. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved our experience at Yosemite Colfax Spring. Liza and Tom are considerate hosts and offer any amenities you might need for a stay on their land. It was peaceful and quiet and offered unmatched views, plus so close to Yosemite!! Also loved how close we were to a town so that we could stop and grab some food on the way in. Lovely experience.

We had a great stay at Tom’s campsite! The views were beautiful, and it was great falling asleep to the sounds of the nearby waterfall. The bathrooms and showers were clean with reliably hot water. It was also an easy drive to Yosemite—perfect for getting into the park before 6 AM and avoiding the Memorial Day weekend crowds. Highly recommend!

I loved camping on Liza and Tom's land. The Merced campsite was clean and spacious, with excellent views. Marty runs the place with them, and was very welcoming and helpful. The location is just a few minutes from the western entry to Yosemite.
The campsites are well laid-out, and toilet/bath facilities are excellent and well-maintained. I wholeheartedly recommend Colfax Spring as a camping home base to explore this great park.

We loved everything about this stay. We were two and two dogs in a 21’ camper van and stayed in #4 with a view of the waterfall. Having walked around the camp we would have been happy in any of the sites. The host greeted us upon bathrooms and was welcoming. The showers are spacious and spectacular. It’s close to the park but far enough out to get a more private camping experience. This is at the top of our list and we hope to return.

Absolutely beautiful site, amazing views! Only critic I have is that I wish there was a bit more separation between campsites for optimal privacy but it was not a dealbreaker and would certainly come back again. Hosts were great!

The views from site (5) Yosemite falls were gorgeous. And the sunsets amazing.
The site is level and perfect for our class B van. There is a bin and picnic table provided and there is a really great shower/toilet block. Towels are even provided if you don’t want to use your own.
Communication with the hosts was excellent and we stayed for three nights. Couldn’t have wished for a better base to explore Yosemite from. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

We had an incredible experience camping here! Liza and Tom responded quickly to all of our messages and were incredibly gracious with us when we had to change our reservations around due to car troubles. So kind! The sites are clearly marked and all directions were super easy to follow. The hot showers and bathrooms were very clean, spacious and private. And the view!! Oh my goodness, from sunrise to sunset, the views were breathtaking. And when it was time to sleep, the nearby waterfall acted as our own little sound machine, lulling us right to sleep. We tent camped here for 5 nights and it was all around the perfect stay for our Yosemite trip. 10/10!!

This spot is phenomenal! The view is outstanding, the bathrooms are updated and clean, and the showers are heavenly after a long day of hiking. It’s a fairly short drive to the entrance of Yosemite national park. We had a view of a beautiful waterfall. The sunsets and sunrises from this spot are epic. Marty was friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond to help in any way and make you feel welcomed. 10/10 would recommend and we can’t wait to go back! Do yourself a favor and just book it!

Fabulous location up on a bluff overlooking the Tuolumne River, well off the highway. Super clean, nice platforms (we had a van tho), new picnic table at our site. Showers and bathrooms were new and first class—like in a home, not a campground (towels included)! Owner is great, too, though we didn’t have anything we needed—it was all there. Next time we need to plan to go rafting, too!

Had the campsite to ourselves in early spring. Was great for our kids to run around. Good amenities, cleanest camp restrooms I’ve ever used, and great views of the falls! Pretty good staging point for doing anything coming in from west end of Yosemite NP.

This place had stunning views and felt quite safe. Fully established amenities block with 2 clean private toilets, and 2 warm showers with lots of hanging space, the only thing I will say is the shower heads are a bit weak which at times was hard to get warm in the colder nights (which is why i recommend adding the extra fireplace they have available). Nothing major to complain about though. 20ish minutes to the Yosemite NP entrance which is why we stayed. On the way in there’s a place called Rush Lodge which is where we went to get pre exploring coffee and gifts. 5 minutes the opposite way for a nearby town (Buck Meadows from memory) with a very hospitable cozy diner where we had Thanksgiving dinner.

It was a Great spot ~ conveniently located to Yosemite, beautiful scenic canyon & waterfall views, private & quiet even though right off of Rte. 120, clean updated bathroom & shower facilities (even had towels) & lovely, communicative hosts !
I’m sorry that I only stayed there for one night.

Beautiful camp site with views. Walk across the road to see a year round waterfall. We had great weather and had a nice visit to Yosemite Valley for the day. The shower and restroom is a big plus. Thank you.
