We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at Misty Mountain Camping! From the moment we arrived, we already felt very welcomed. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect spot to escape from the busy city and simply enjoy some quiet time outdoors.
Peter, the owner, was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The lovely lady who welcomed us when we arrived was also very warm and helpful. They made sure we were comfortable, settled in properly, and most importantly, that we would be safe during our stay.
The campsite itself has such a relaxing atmosphere, and waking up surrounded by nature was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. It was a great place to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, and spend quality time together.
We genuinely enjoyed our stay and are very happy that we chose Misty Mountain Camping. Thank you so much to Peter and the team for making us feel welcome and looked after. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable camping getaway! ❤️🏕️🌿✨

We stayed in Area 4 which was a lovely spot with wide open spaces and great views. Hot showers and being able to preorder pizza from the cafe was also great. Very welcoming of dogs too which was great for our four legged family member! The place is clearly very well organised and maintained. We will definitely be back!

I loved the camp grounds with the mountain surroundings. Camp 4 is the best but there’s others hidden spots that aren’t 1,2,3, & 4 camp. Drive around a little before you set up.
The misty cafe was delish! We had the ham and pineapple pizza and HOLY it was legit.
Def recommend this camp spot. Good amenities too for the ladies. Will be back ✌️

The site itself is stunning, with great amenities and beautiful views. Toilets were accessible, firewood available. We just felt it was a little too crowded for our style of camping even though it wasn’t super booked. If you have kids and dogs, it would be great for you. But we were hoping for something more secluded. Still a lovely spot though and thanks to the hosts for having us.

Misty Mountain was such a gorgeous property. Very spacious sites, beautiful views and friendly and helpful property caretakers and staff. Such a peaceful getaway immersed in nature. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our trip! We loved being able to choose our own camping spot in such a huge area! We found a nice private spot with no one camping next to us, enjoyed a campfire, and my daughter had so much fun running around and exploring.
Juliet at the café was so friendly, and I really enjoyed chatting with her about all kinds of travel stories. The sandwich was delicious too, with really good quality ham sourced from Byron!
We’ll definitely be back 😊
The only downside was that there seemed to be some hunting going on in the nearby mountains. We heard 3–4 gunshots during the night, and each time the dogs around the area started barking quite loudly. It woke us up a few times, so unfortunately we didn’t get the best night’s sleep.
Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the experience! :)

We had a great stay. Plenty space. Grounds are well thought out and maintained. Showers and toilets are clean. Dams are easy to access and Jules makes the most amazing coffee and pizza.
I know this is probably out of their control, but I do need to mention that were several instances during both nights where dogs from the properties surrounding the grounds barked like crazy, sounded like someone (or something) had come onto their grounds. There were also shots fired intermittantly throughout Saturday night which woke us up, seemed like it was someone doing this deliberately.
Even with all the night time action, we'll still be back. The place is amazing

Absolutely loved staying at Misty Mountain Campgrounds! The location is beautiful and peaceful, with a great atmosphere for getting away from the busyness of everyday life. The surroundings are stunning, and it was really nice being able to relax and enjoy nature. The campground had everything we needed, and the whole experience felt very laid-back and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Misty Mountain Campgrounds to anyone looking for a relaxing camping getaway!

Nice, quiet place to be. The dogs had a ball. We only stayed 2 nights but would go back again.
Nice spot in a great part of the world. I usually prefer smaller properties that are quieter with less people but as a last minute plan, this was good enough.

Absolutely epic views! This was a great campsite for our girls trip - we had plenty of space and there was a good range of camp sites available and for small to larger groups. We will definitely be back!

Second time at Misty Mountain and we loved it again! The views are stunning and an other thing that we love is that you don’t need to be close to other campers, the land is huge and there are plenty of spots. Kayaking at the dam is very peaceful.
With a 2WD car we had to be careful to not get stuck because the grass was very wet but we had been advised by Peter beforehand.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Misty Mountain Kunghur! The views are absolutely stunning. The hot water showers were a great bonus, and the peaceful lake with the free kayaks made for the perfect place to relax.
The caretakers were lovely. It was nice and quiet during the week, and the clear night skies made it an amazing spot for stargazing.
We will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!
One little tip—keep an eye out for the huge resident huntsman spider in the Camp 4 shower at the top of the hill! He's harmless, but he might give you a surprise! 😁

loved it! we found a nice and isolated spot to set up. it was absolutely beautiful, we could watch the stars in the evening and watch the mist roll over the mountains in the morning. good amenities too, would recommend:)

The views were great and the shelter's at each camp area were well maintained. There was hot running water at the shared amenities and flushable toilets. I would recommend camping in Area 4 for the best views.
The games room needs some TLC - the air hockey table was warped, the TV was broken. The games room is not enclosed but an open shelter. The coffee van was out of order 😔

We had a great stay at Misty Mountain. It was our first time using HipCamp so we didn’t really know what to expect but it was such a cool experience! The location of the camp was really beautiful, the directions / instructions on the property were clear and our site had everything we needed. We would recommend this camp :)
